It's been a while since I created an interactive sightings map for a harder-to-find Limited Edition drugstore makeup collection, but I think the new e.l.f. Villainous Villains collection calls for one. Would you agree?
If you're new to this blog and have no idea what an interactive sightings map is, you can click here to see one that I created for a past limited edition Wet n Wild collection. I create these maps when a limited edition drugstore collection is in limited release (i.e., not available at all drugstores) so that readers who have spotted it can share that info with other readers who may be looking for it.
So take at look at a past map, and let me know if you think we need one for Villainous Villains. Since it's not going to be available in all Walgreens locations (and it's not available online via e.l.f.), I think it could be helpful.

DeleteI've been to the Walgreen's on Winter Gardens in Lakeside twice in the past week - nothing there as of yet. Fingers crossed they get them soon because I am DYING for the Cruella palette!

ReplyDeletedefinitely yay! Please!!! I've already been to 3 in the philadelphia, northeast and no such luck for them yet. But I've asked about them and most of them who knew what I was talking about said they won't probably get them in stores till next friday (9/21). Another thing I noticed was that while the locator on the elf site did find walgreens that sold elf products. The actual walgreens suggested didn't have any in the store yet.
ReplyDeleteYes please! I've checked 6 Walgreens around me that were listed as ones that were supposed to have them, and they totally didn't know what I was talking about. (I'm in CA.) One of them told me to go check Target because they sell ELF stuff there. And another said they usually get a heads up from corporate when they're getting something special in and they didn't hear anything at all about these. An interactive map would be so helpful! :)

They also told me that the boxes have a display date, and there was absolutely nothing from elf that was set for the floor on 9/15 :-/

I think it's a fantastic idea. I check the day they were supposed to come out and the cosmetic sections woman had no idea what I was talking about. Went to a different Walgreens they next day and they had them out. The first walgreens still doesn't have them (they were supposed to) so frustrating!

ReplyDeleteALSO - we should make a note of those stores we've visited and discovered it is not available at. I've been to 3 stores that the website listed as Walgreens that are selling these.....but they were't available there.
ReplyDeleteNo no no! Please don't--if you do, I will not approve it. The reason is because drugstores often don't put their displays out all at the same time. It could literally take weeks for certain locations to put their display up. So if someone leaves a marker on the map today saying such-and-such Walgreens doesn't have them, we will run into some issues if, next week, they show up at that location. There will be conflicting markers on the map and there's a chance people will accidentally not see the updated marker and assume a store doesn't have them, when they really do.
DeleteI hope that makes sense, and thanks anyway for the suggestion (I've just learned the hard way after creating several of these maps that we need to stick to availability only).
