Spotted: Philosophy cosmetics...at Big Lots (and more!)

Did you catch the comment that reader CaleyMarie left on the You Tell Me page yesterday? If case you missed it:
I just spotted a ton of Philosophy Color Cosmetics all for only $3 at Big Lots in La Canada Flintridge, CA. There was cream blushes, illuminators, a small pallette with lip, eye and cheek colors, an spf 20 makeup and some eye duos.
Philosophy cosmetics at Big Lots? That was enough to compel me to drive straight to my nearest Big Lots after work yesterday to see if I could spot them myself! Sadly, I didn't spot any Philosophy cosmetics there (if YOU have, please let us know!), but I did spot some great polish deals (again!) that I wanted to share with you:

Don't get too excited: there's only one shade (Violet Night). But still, for $3? That's a steal!

Some (newer) 4-packs of Revlon polishes for $6. These contain the following shades:

Fire Fox (Matte Suede finish)
Devilish
Oh My Magenta
Demure

And last but not least, remember the Revlon Sweetly Seductive Collection from Summer 2011? The one with all those pretty, scented jellies with the tiny flakies? Well I spotted FOUR of the eight shades in that collection in 2-packs at my Big Lot for--get this--$2 each! Two-packs for two bucks!!

 Mint Fizz and Pineapple Fizz

Orange Fizz and Colada Fizz

You can check out Nicole's swatches of Orange Fizz here and Colada Fizz here.

What have YOU spotted at YOUR local Big Lots lately? Anything good? Please share!

  7. I was at two Big Lots in South Florida and they do not have the Philosophy. However, one of them had the SH nail strips - one color, Cry Baby which is a sort of hot light pink. The other one had Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer for $2! I couldn't believe it! I had just bought some off of eBay for $9 apiece (grrr!). They had lots of maybelline actually (mineral makeup).

  8. I don't know if my comment already posted, a bit confused on that, but my two S. Fla Big Lots did not have Philosophy but one did have the SH nail strips in Cry Baby and they did have CK makeup. The other one had Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer for those of you who miss it! I picked up for 4, at $2 a piece!

  9. Also, the Big Lots had Wet n Wild Flower Power eyeshadow sets.

  12. The Big Lots at Chapel Hill in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio is CHOCK-FULL of Philosophy Products, as well as the CK Infinite Balance Creme to Powder Foundation for $8.00 USD.

Philosophy products I found (every product sold for $3.00 USD): Eye Hope concealer (in Extra Light), Supernatural Instant Sunshine Mineral Bronzer, Amazing Grace Shimmering Face Powder, Heavenly Light Pink Illuminator, Supernatural Superhealthy Hybrid Makeup spf 20, You Make Me Blush Mineral blush duo (in Healthy and Happy), Divine Illumination Love At First Light Ageless Skin Luminizer, and Supernatural Lit From Within Healthy Cream Blush

G, I took photos of the products mentioned, and bought some for myself. If you would like those photos, let me know!

  13. Ah! I went back to Big Lots because I bought a set of 2 glass nail files for $2, realized they were amazing, and went back to buy every pack they had as gifts, and I found something I'd totally missed before: the As Seen on TV Salon Express Stamping Kit for $6.50! I got the last one, and I'm so glad I did, because I just bought a pack of bundle monster stamps and forgot the stamper- doh!

  14. Ooohhh! Stupid Canada! I've been looking for those Revlon 'Fizz' polishes everywhere. For two dollars I'd buy both packs, no hesitation! Thanks for the great post, though, despite all the jealousy :)

  16. I just came back from my Big Lots (in IL) and while my store also didn't have Philosophy, it did have a TON of Revlon two packs for $2. Some from the core collection, some Top Speed ones (including Royal (beautiful blue jelly-esque), Electric (Chanel Mimosa near-dupe), and Cloud (lovely blue/lavender)), some from the Just Tinted collection, and a TON from the Sweetly Seductive collection--the ones you mentioned plus Apple-Tini Fizz, Watermelon Fizz, Grapefruit Fizz, and Grape Fizz. I bought a Just Tinted twin pack and 3 Sweetly Seductive twin packs and I could have purchased a lot more! I also got a really pretty Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush and an allegedly LE powder blush (I don't know what collection it came from, though). They also had a ton of ELF sets and some cool WnW sets. I also saw the Salon Express stamping kit, but I already bought one from CVS last winter. Definitely worth a trip!

  20. I was at Big Lots on Saturday and while I didn't find any Philosophy, I did spot a huge section with high end skin care and hair care! They said that the local store had bought out a pharmacy that had closed. I bought myself the Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta 2 Step Peel pads (60 pads X 2) for $50 and the retail on them is $128!

  21. i went and got the sally hansen polishes but they has the skull print ones as well. Going back to check out the revlon polishes! :)Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Ohh, to the poster above I am so jealous!!!

The skull print is the first of the nail strips I ever tried. And it made me an instant convert to this product! I would grab every available pack, if I were you. But I am not exactly normal when it comes to the salon strips!!

  23. I just went to my big lots and got a bunch of philosophy stuff. I got instant sunshine bronzer, eye hop concealer in extra light, windows to the soul eye shadow quad in truffle, the supernatural coloring book, and divine illumination cream. I also got the sally hansen salon effects in numbskull, cute cartoon skulls print. Each item was three dollars. Thank you for posting this because if you hadn't I would have never known.

  24. I went to a Big Lots in Durham, NC (HW 55) and although picked over, there was still a decent display of Philosophy makeup. I have had mixed results with Philosophy in the past, but the price $3 was too good to pass. I just sampled some now at home (I'm loving the eyeshadows) and am planning on going out to another BL tonight. I didn't see the Revlon Fizz collection, but there were SH nail strips in orange and lime green. Thanks for informing us of the great deals!!

  25. I found some Philosophy goodies at my Big Lots today! I picked up an eyeshadow palette in "Box of Truffles", a cream blush, an eyeshadow duo in "Heaven and Earth", and the heavenly pink illuminator! They also had small retractable kabuki brushes which were so cute! And the best part was everything was $3!! Amazing!

  26. I went to the Big Lots in Santan in the Phoenix area. No Philosophy but since our cashier was the store manager we asked him about it and he told us that he had the shipment in store but that they would probably be put out on Monday because that's when the beauty sale was supposed to begin. He said all stores should get the displays but some will get more displays than others. He said the stores were supposed to wait for the beauty sale to put the stuff out so I think the stores that have the Philosophy putt it out early.

I found them in the middle of the store, on an endcap, near vases and home decor items...nowhere near the cosmetics section.
