Calgon Will Also Launch New Berry Ravishing Fragrance
Baltimore, MD. – March 20, 2012
– Calgon, a leading bath and beauty brand known for their iconic “Take
Me Away!” tagline, announced today the return of their Turquoise Seas
fragrance. Off the shelves for over five years, consumers took to their
social media channels with rallying cries to bring back one of their
favorite products.
In March 2010, Calgon rebranded
their entire bath and body line with new packaging and a bold marketing
campaign. With the repositioning, Calgon launched over 30 new products
while keeping true to its roots with Morning Glory, English Garden and
Hawaiian Ginger scents. Turquoise Seas, with notes of sparkling
florals, aquatic greens and fresh white musk, continued to be the number
one requested fragrance from consumers, which paved the way for the
re-launch of this beloved customer favorite.
Calgon
will also introduce a new fruity-floral fragrance, Berry Ravishing, a
mesmerizing blend of luscious berries enveloped with exotic cherry
blossom and sparkling peach. Berry Ravishing is a vibrant, juicy
fragrance with bright packaging that is launching just in time for the
spring and summer seasons. Both Turquoise Seas and Berry Ravishing will
be available at select national retailers beginning late Spring 2012 as
an 8oz Refreshing Body Mist.
“We value our
consumer feedback and they have consistently expressed a desire to see
Turquoise Seas back in market,” said Ben Harvey, Executive Vice
President and General Manager at Calgon. “We hope our consumers now
realize that we have been listening! After a very successful rebranding
effort, we are now in a position to reintroduce this nostalgic
fragrance with fresh packaging for the modern day woman.”
To
support the launch, Calgon will be rolling out a major marketing and PR
campaign under Alliance, the activation and PR division of Grey NY.
The sales effort and new product launches for Calgon is driven by Ilex
Consumer Products Group, which acquired the business in November 2008,
when they bought the company from Ascendia Brands.

I am soo happy, I've been savoring the little bit I have left over (1/2 inch)in my 2 oz bottle. I've had it for years! I just grabbed it from my stash and sprayed one spritz...ahh the memories, and the scent has not turned Yay Me!!!
