What are your favorite springtime nail polishes (brands, shades or colors)?
I generally tend to wear lots of creme pastels during the spring. I love very pale icy blues, lavenders and lilacs most, but I also find that I wear more traditional shades this time of year, like pinks and corals. If you're a longtime follower of this blog, you know I don't usually opt for traditional colors, but springtime always brings out my love of pink! What about you?
Before nail blogging, I would just do a traditional French during the spring. Maybe a sparkly or shimmery pink, as well. But now, gosh, I plan to wear all the springy colors I can get my hands on. LOL
ReplyDeleteMy new favorites are lavenders and pastel-ish greige colors. Wet 'n Wild (thanks to you for letting me know!) have some pretty spring colors coming out that I am itchin' to wear. And it looks like Finger Paint's has some shimmery pastels coming out as well. All worthy of a looky-see.
For some reason I'm all about lavenders and lilacs right now. Pastel ones like Zoya Marley, Heather and Miley. And dusty ones like Nubar Pharaoh's Purple. I need to get my hands on RBL Insouciant when it comes out, which looks like it kind of falls in between.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe it's already March! Right now, I'm wearing OPI's "I Vant to Be a Lone Star" and it's a light grayish blue. I tend to not have a specific color for the seasons, but I think I'm gonna try out some more pastel colors. :]
ReplyDeleteI'm all about the Milani 3D Holographic polishes right now. The colors are very springtastic plus sparkly and holo goodness.
ReplyDeleteI love Tropical Temptation by Revlon. It's a pinky coral that I got a couple of years ago.
ReplyDeleteBut when I go to the beach or just feel like mixing it up I love to use brights, acids and fluorescent shades. There's something about a bright, bright pop of color that I just love.
i love china glaze light or bright cremes, especially in yellows, corals, and lilacs. lately i've been reaching for lime green.
ReplyDeleteChina Glaze's Spring 2010 collection will probably be the one against which I measure all spring collections in the future. I own almost all the shades, and they are springtime PERFECTION.
ReplyDeleteUsually, I just wear what appeals to me regardless of season, but in the springtime, I find I like the idea of traditional pastels--however, I'm probably going to wear quite a few holos to celebrate the return of the sun.
gotta be eyeko rain polish or vintage polish, i totally go for the pastels come spring! last year i got sucked in by barry M's poster, the girl had all different pastels on and i gradually bought the all so i could copy!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite polishes right now are W&W Gray's Anatomy & Zoya Gemma. And the ChG Tronica collection. Lavender & lilacs are very appealing but I don't do creams; there has to be a little shimmer, duochrome or holo.
ReplyDeleteWell I got my Zoya Intimate collection (yes the whole collection lol) and I LOVE it!!! I'm also loving some China Glaze shades like the Anchors Away collection Up and Away collection like Refresh Mint, Peachy Keen, Lemon Fizz.
ReplyDeleteOrly Butterflies with Zoya Bijou on top! I did a post recently with some great spring nail polish colors :)
ReplyDeleteRevlon's Not So Blueberry is pretty, too.
Right now I'm adding "Hidden Treasure" to everything! I used to only wear creams, but I'm kind of liking some sparkly goodness lately.
ReplyDeleteI like China Glaze Pure Elegance and Jet Stream
ReplyDeleteI like for my toes to remind me of Easter eggs (lol), so I usually dig up my Rimmel Pop Apricot or my ooolllddd LE Revlon Wild About Violets. And I just did my fingers with Maybelline's new Sunlight, so I am feeling very Spring-y. =-D
ReplyDeleteAny of the brights from China Glaze Up & Away, plus For Audrey. Also candy pinks.
ReplyDeletei dont know that ive ever stuck to sporting certain colors in certai seasons. right now, im wearing a wet-n-wild polish in some shade of red. before that, it was a super-glittery pink (also wet-n-wild). im thinking next i will probably switch over to either a putty color or else an almost nude color i picked up recently.
ReplyDeletei do have a lemony yellow color that i usually reserve only for my toes (it tends to make me look a little jaundiced when i wear it on my fingers) and also a lilac color -- maybe i should put those into my spring rotation! and i seriously need to get my hands on a minty green color and a tiffany blue too!
I'm liking China Glaze Sea Spray - a light grayish blue.
ReplyDeleteFor spring I really like lilacs and lavender colors. Not quite ready for spring colors yet where I live but Done Out in Deco by OPI is a favorite. I hope to find the WNW colors soon. I really am anxious to get my hands on Cherry Blossom. Summer is all about coral! :)
