The Wednesday Question

This week's question was pretty easy for me to answer, and I'm really looking forward to seeing your responses:

What one makeup application technique do you wish you could conquer overnight?

This one is SO easy for me. If I could immediately possess the talent to be able to use more than three eyeshadow colors at a time, I would be a very happy girl! I envy all of you who have the creativity and skill to use lots and lots of different shades to achieve beautiful, rich eye looks.  I lose my patience after three shades--I just go blank and I don't know where or how to apply more colors to create something beautiful. Instead, I always end up looking like a clown!  So what one makeup technique do you wish you could conquer overnight?

  1. I'd have to say either perfect eye liner or contouring. I can do both just well enough to get away with.

  2. after years and years of trying, i can not master (or even really passably attempt) any kind of winged eyeliner. ive had pros try to teach me, ive watched tutorials, i had someone draw it on me and then i tried to trace. all to no avail.

  5. Winged eyeliner. I can never get it right and I don't think I have the eyeshape for it.

  6. Hm. It's surprising to see that so many people have trouble with winged eyeliner. I'm Asian, which means I've grown up with girls wearing that kind of eyeliner from the very beginning. Thus I find it really easy.

What I wish I could master myself would be concealing. Acne, scars (which i have a lot of), and under eyes. How to conceal them IMPECCABLY and have that last all day. Now THAT would be a godsend!!

  7. Yeah I actually have no problem with liquid liner. But I would like to be a little better at getting a happy medium on my eyes of having a blending look but not overblending. Also, getting an 100% flawless complexion with concealer. I can do it well but never perfectly I would say :) Too much to cover up.

  9. I would say to be able to make a winged liner look.

Being monolid AND hooded kind of makes a wing sort of very difficult...I am however able to do wings on my double lid friends haha just not on myself >.<

  10. I don't usually comment on your Wednesday question, but I saw this question and I immediately knew: blending eyeshadows! I'm with you, I envy the girls that can use multiple colors and make it look flawless! Maybe one of these days I'll get there!

  15. I'm on 'Team Winged Liner.' Sometimes I'll get one realllly good, but cannot duplicate it on the other side. Or, I end up with them looking completely weird and not glamorous.

  20. Hi ladies for those of you that are having trouble with winged eye liner and liquid liner. My best advice as a makeup artist is get an angled brush and a nice creamy liner. L'orél hip eye liners they go on creamy but last long (at least it does on me) apply the liner normally then with the angle brush go over the liner and flick at the end to create the wing. Like this if you mess up you can clean it. Once you have your liner how you like it go over it with the liquid liner. I know it sounds tedious but that should work until you get the hang of it. I hope that helped some of you.
