Happy Monday, my lovely readers! I just wanted to quickly post some important info regarding some questions I've had on my blog lately so I hope you'll take a minute to read this. :)
[1/25/09 9:40pm update: Ladies, don't forget to enter the Skin MD giveaway going on over at the fabulous Confessions of a Beauty Guru! I've been using this moisturizer for over a month now and I am in la-la-looooove with it (my review to come soon). So don't miss out on this opportunity to snag yourself a free bottle!]
1) Several of you have asked if I could start posting weekly drugstore sale info on Nouveau Cheap. Unfortuantely, that's not going to happen, and here's why: there are already a TON of great places online where you can get this information, so there's really no point in me posted it as well. Second, I've always focused more on the really exceptional deals (deals that stand out to me) and I like to call those out and/or remind you guys about them. I think it's better this way, and I hope you agree. So on that note, here are some great resources for getting your weekly drugstore sale updates:
http://makeuponthecheap.blogspot.com/
This is a great blog for getting quick and easy weekly sale info (beauty only) from CVS, Rite Aid and Walgreens
If you want more in-depth weekly sale info, definitely check out these sites:
For CVS
http://www.iheartcvs.com/
For Walgreens
http://iheartwags.com/
For Rite Aid
http://www.iheartriteaid.com/
I know several of you also have Duane Reades and Meijers in your area, but I don't know any websites that focus on their weekly deals (if you know of any, please leave a comment on this post!).
Makeup on the Cheap is already on my blogroll so you can always access that blog when you visit here. If you would like me to post a sidebar with clickable links to the "I Heart" sites, please leave a comment and let me know. I assumed that most of you already visited these sites weekly, but if you'd like it to be more convenient for you to access these sites via my blog, I'd be happy to do that!
2) Fellow San Diegan and beauty blogger Evolving Beauty just discovered that her local Target (in Chula Vista, for all you SD girls) already has the new e.l.f. products that were supposed to debut in March!! I told you a few weeks ago that I wasn't at liberty to reveal the e.l.f. products until February, but since they're already in stores, you know I have to share it with you! So definitely click here to visit Evolving Beauty's blog and see the pics she snapped of the brand new end-cap display (spoiler: there's eyeshadow singles!). Also, Aedd, if you're reading this, there's an issue with your comments--I tried 3x to leave a comment on your blog but it won't let me. :(
3) For those of you wondering, "What happened to your giveaways??" I just wanted to let you know that I have lots of fun giveaways planned for Valentine's Day, so please check back very, very soon. You won't want to miss them, I promise!
Thanks so much for taking the time to read this update and if you have any questions, please leave a comment on this post! xo
A few months ago, Lider (the great hyper market of Chile) made a big merge with Walmart. i was expecting to see all the interesting and cheap beauty products sold there...but all i could find was Great Value DishWasher :(
ReplyDeleteI wish I had a Rite Aid or CVS in my country.
I'm really excited that ELF stuff will be on target--do you think they'll include studio items/brushes in March too? hmm I guess you're not at liberty to say--but I'm excited!
ReplyDeletePS: Do you know of any good skincare product that can help get rid of acne scarring? I was thinking just using Mederma, but do you know of any others? thanx! <3

ReplyDeleteThis is the website that keeps me updated each week. ^-^
I need to check out my Target this week. I can't wait to pick up a few goodies fom e.l.f. I'm hoping they'll stock up early in Mission Valley but they're usually sold out of everything as soon as they get them...
ReplyDeleteAnd R, I'm giving you a heads up on my Skin MD giveaway. It would be wonderful if you'd also announce it to your readers-- it would help us out so much. :)
Elena: Are you serious? They merged and all you got was a Great Value product? That is a HUGE bummer!! :( I wish you had access to a Rite Aid and CVS too, darnit! xo
ReplyDeleteshei: In just a few days, I'll be revealing the entire list of e.l.f. products for March, so please hold tight! lol. :) And I wish I could help you with a product for acne scars (I have them too) but skincare advice is TOTALLY not my thing. lol. I'm a super basic "cleanser and moisturizer" person and I rarely, if ever, do treatments. Sorry. :(
Heather: Um...that might be the best website anyone as EVER shared with me!!! I had no idea something like that even existed! That is AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!! Thank you SO MUCH!! I am definitely going to add that to my sidebar this week--it deserves a permanent spot on Nouveau Cheap for SURE! :D xoxo
Shela: No problem! Since I already did this "odds 'n' ends" post for the week, I'll just add a blurb to it right now about your giveaway. xo
Thank you for sharing those websites with us :)
ReplyDeleteKaty: You are so welcome! Glad I could help! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, suga! I'm really really hoping that we'll get a little push in our blogger traffic this way. And I've got a 50 follower giveaway in the works! :)
ReplyDeleteHi! I stumbled upon your blog, and I just wanted to let you know that the Food 4 Less in San Diego has had an e.l.f. section for a really really long time! If you're waiting for elf to come to target, check out the section in Food 4 Less now! Just thought you might want to know :)
