Sometimes it really pays to have a CVS card (if you don't have one by now, I HIGHLY recommend signing up since it's free and you can get those very handy CVS Extra Bucks).
Obviously CVS pays attention to what you purchase, because yesterday I got this in the mail:
This is a brochure of the latest and greatest new L'Oreal products (which surprised me because you would think that the Roller Foundation is probably the most interesting new product from L'Oreal yet there's no mention of it in this mailer). Anyway, the products mentioned in this brochure are ones that I have seen in-store recently (in fact I posted some pics of the giant "Lash Boosting Technology" display I spotted a while back) but I wanted to post the info here in case you haven't heard about these goodies yet.
I have to say I'm intrigued by this new "Scrublet" and I might just have to pick one up for review soon. It's hard to see in this pic so let me show you a close-up of how the Scrublet actually fits INSIDE the bottle of cleanser:
I have to say, I like the concept of having the tool come WITH the cleanser. Not only for convenience, but it also is a great way of not having to remember to replace your cleansing tool. You just buy a new one when you've run out of cleanser. Pretty neat.
Also included in the brochure is a $1 off coupon:
It would have been great to have a $2 or $3 off coupon, but I'm not complaining. I can still make this savings work for me by using a few Extra Bucks, right?
So again, if you don't have a CVS card, it's time to sign up and start taking advantage of these deals.
Did you get one of these "Top Secret" brochures in the mail? Are you interested in picking up any of these new products? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
I really want to try the 360 clean face washes, I really like the idea of a little scrubby thing. I'd love a review ;D
ReplyDeleteThe CVS card should be in everyone's wallet.
ReplyDeleteI use it along with the new recycled tag and always save money and get coupons.
Good for them for taking their marketing efforts to another level.
I too would love to see a review on the scrublet.
Oooh, I didn't get this in the mail. Then again my Postal Office is horrible!!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to get a chance to test that Lash Boosting Technology duo soon though. CAN'T WAIT! =D
Get the 360 wash!
ReplyDeleteThe wash itself is ho-hum, but that scrublet is worth it all by itself. It sticks to the shower wall...or the mirror, and it actually cleans your skin like mad.
Oooooh! You've totally got my interest piqued :)
ReplyDeletexo
That's creepy! L'oreal is watching...it's kind of like the government tracking our google searches :)
ReplyDeletePS - i posted my cvs haul on your cvs alert, but it was a lil late. i got a lot of stuff, if you're interested, go check it out!
i can't believe i didn't get that in the mail, i'm a big cvs shopper! anyway maybe there is still time. I have been really interested in the little scrublet also
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty obsessed with my Neutragena (can't spell that lol) Wave, but the Scrublet sounds all adorable XD I want!
ReplyDeleteI will be the bad egg that desperately Wants to use the scrublet because it looks Amazing(!) but just can't b/c of the environmental impact the disposability(?) of it creates. I've given up my beloved Biore facial wipes even though I mourn the loss daily. And though I create a negative environmental impact in many other ways I just can't bring myself to try this. Though I want to. Badly. I may not belong in this comment section but I'm chatty and will envy the enjoyment others receive from the product. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had a CVS near me! I can't wait to buy one of the L'Oreal cleansers with the scrublet.
ReplyDeleteHeather: I got one! I'll be posting a review after I've tried it for 5 days (that's always my length of time to test a product...sometimes a little bit longer but usually 5 days). xo
ReplyDeleteGoody: So nice to hear from you, sweetie! I totally agree about the CVS card. And I picked up the Scrublet so I'll test it and post a review next week. :)
Rai: Keep checking--it might show up in a few days. Oooh, I can't wait to hear what you think about the lash stuff! xo
CthuLynny: I just bought this--I'm wondering which formula you got? I picked up the cream cleaner for sensitive skin...keeping my fingers crossed!
Amber: lol! I couldn't resist so I picked up the cleanser with the scrublet today. I'll be curious to know if we agree on it if/when you get one! xo
Anon: LOL! Yeah, it is kind of like that, isn't it? I will check out your other post right after I finish responding to the comments on this one. :)
Tiff: I bet you'll get it...it just probably is taking them a few days to send them out. Keep me posted? I want you to get that $1 coupon! xo
Lisa Kate: I've heard SO many great things about the Wave! But yeah, the Scrublet is hard to resist. lol. xo
Suz: You know what? I TOTALLY thought about that too. It's a hard thing to support, but I justified it in this way: I don't use disposable razors, I recycle all of the plastic/paper/aluminum that I can within my household, and when I saw how SMALL the actual Scrublet is today, I felt a lot better about the whole thing. It's tiny. When I think about all the food/beauty products/cleaning supplies I purchase that come in wasteful plastic, this seems tiny by comparison. Also, I don't think I'll continue to buy this cleanser on a regular basis (unless it completely knocks my socks off) so if anything, I'll keep the Scrublet and continue to use it until it gets funky and then I'll toss it. That KIND of makes me feel better, but I'm sure you can pick apart my argument with ease. LOL!!! :) XO
Katherine: I'm SURE it will become widely available very soon, so no worries, honey! You'll probably be able to find it at Target (for less money) before you know it. :)
Suz: I just tried it for the first time and I had to come back and let you know something. The Scrublet takes up LESS space than the actual hole in the plastic bottle! In other words, the amount of material used to make the Scrublet is about the same, if not LESS than if the plastic bottle didn't have that hole in it. I'm probably not making much sense so you really need to see it to understand. lol. My point is that what is used in rubberish material (to make the scrublet) is saved in plastic (less plastic needed to make the bottle itself). So it almost cancels it out because the Scrublet is pretty darn small.
ReplyDeleteAnd my boyfriend also commented that the Scrublet's probably more biodegradable than the bottle itself because it's a softer, more pliable plastic vs. hard plastic. He could be very wrong of course, but it makes me feel a bit better. :)
I'm confused. Didn't Loreal has a mascara like that or similar to that already? o__O
ReplyDeleteI saw the new Loreal Cleansers a few weeks ago but I completely ignored them...lol...now I will have to go to the Walgreens I saw them at. (Just one store has them, I have other 3-4 Walgreens and they aren't selling them yet).
I got mine in the mail last week. I didn't post pics yet:)
ReplyDeleteBeda: Yep, that's the lash stuff from a while back (I posted pics of that huge display from before Christmas!). I guess they're still calling it "new". lol. :)
ReplyDeleteHSP: Oooh, I can't wait to see what you think of it!! Which formula did you get?
R.
ReplyDeleteWould NEVER pick apart your argument. I use 3-5 dryer sheets per laundry load and make plenty of waste. I opt out on the beauty front but that may be it. NYC makes it easy to use public trans & follow recycling laws so that's sort of environmental by default. I don't judge and apologize if it seemed I do. Am truly envious. Hope you enjoy! (PS. thought I left a similar response earlier but don't see it. - if it posted on another link know I'm not trying to make a double point, I'm just a goober.)
Suz: OMG, I would never in a million years think you were judging me, sweetheart! I just happened to fully agree with you about the wastefulness of this product, but then I found ways to justify and explain it to myself so of course I had to share that with you. lol. xoxo
