First Look: NYC New York Color Lovatics by Demi Lovato Collection (Eyeshadow Palette, Lip & Cheek Tints and More)

I received some press info from NYC today that made me so happy because 1) I'm THRILLED to see a new collection from NYC after what feels like a long dry spell and 2) this collection will be available at both Target and Walmart starting this month (NYC has been getting harder to find lately so I'm very happy that these products will be available at both retailers).

So let's take a look!

  1. The eyeshadow palette looks like it is set up the same way as the urban decay naked palette!!

  2. I would be a lot more excited for the palette if it did not look exactly like Naked1, layout and all. There are already so many dupes for Naked1 out there; some different nudes would be welcome.

    1. If it's a good dupe then it would be great for those lacking funds at less than 1/10th the price of the original Naked.

  3. I'm excited about the lip and cheek tint! Hopefully it's not disappointing!!

  4. NYColor IS getting harder to find. I had to go to two Walmarts and a target go find a bottle of GCS.
So I guess that now it is Demi instead of Fergie?

    1. Fergie was wet n wild...but same marketing tactics.

  5. I would be more excites if it was a collab with wet&wild. NYC makeup still needs some work on their formulas.

  6. A 12 shade nude pallete for 5$. Who could even complain. If it's not great pigment then it would be a great starter pallete for young girls. Either way it's a win win!!

  7. Love the eyeshadow palette and lip/cheek tints! Curious about that mascara as well. Looks like HEB Plus may no longer be carrying NYC from what one employee told me after seeing just about everything on clearance. Glad to know Wal-Mart and Target will still have this brands available at their stores. I missed seeing something new from them as well.

    1. I LOVE essence. Their nude lipsticks are fantastic. I hope I see their line in my Target.

  9. Allure did a demo on YouTube. From the demos, these don't look like good products. There wasn't color payoff. I could say more but see it for yourself

    1. Maybe you can leave a link because I can't find it

    2. Oh, I found it. It's not really a demo, it's random people dabbing at their eyes with the shadow. I can't tell if they are actually applying anything. Hopefully NOT sharing the same pallet like it implies.

  10. Lip/cheek tints are exciting to me! I really like the current NYC ones, so I'm excited to try these, too. I haven't been very impressed with NYC shadows in the past, so that's probably a pass for me. It is pretty, though.

  11. I was hoping there would be more new lip products. Also, why are there only two colors in the eyebrow pencil line? Not everyone has medium/dark brown eyebrows.

  12. I saw a video on Allure about this set. And I thought I saw four different pallets. I could be wrong. It was pretty late and haven't been sleeping well at all. So hope it wasn't a mirage. Lol

  13. I love NYC and I love cheek and lip tints. I hope that they are available locally. I think the eye shadow palette is pretty but IDK if I will be getting that one. In my area K-Mart has a pretty good selection of NYC as well.

  14. I was anticipating how long this collection would come to the U.S! This collection at the European countries have 3 more eyeshadow palette shades and I can't wait for those!

  15. Interested in that shadow palette and the mascara.

  16. It's such a shame this that this brand isn't doing more with their line. Seems they had a chance to really improve themselves like W&W did. I mean, they were in most drug stores as well as Walmart & Target so they had a huge potential. They have a few products that I am in LOVE with. This colab may be too little too late. Although I hope not...

    1. I agree... They are really falling behind. I wonder if they will be around in a few years. It used to be too that their new releases would show up everywhere and now...nada.

  17. The lip and cheek tints look cute, but I'm a bit stumped as to why they'd have brow pencils in a special collection and not main line. Or do they make brow pencils and I'm just out of the loop?

  18. I got the lip and cheek stain in Cherry Berry. It is NOT a dupe for Benetint. It is low-pigmented, so I needed several applications to see the color. It also didn't last more than an hour. I returned it the next day.
