If you caught my quick post yesterday about this new collection, then you might be happy to know that the ENTIRE collection is now starting to pop up in Walgreens stores! I haven't even found the new Disney Belle collection (CLICK HERE for pics and swatches) at my local Walgreens stores yet, and now this. I can't keep up, I tell ya!
PLEASE NOTE: I just noticed that the Disney Belle collection makeup and bags are finally available on Drugtore.com (only the bags are currently available on Walgreens.com), so if you haven't been able to find those items in-store, you can now order online. I'm guessing that this new Dare to Dream collection will also be available on those websites in the very near future.

Walgreens Disney Dare to Dream collection
The Walgreens Disney Dare to Dream collection contains products featuring three different Disney Princesses: Pocahontas, Mulan and Ariel (this is a completely different collection than the Ariel collection from Summer 2014). There are cosmetic bags, nail polish and makeup in this collection, and I have lots of pics to share with you thanks to some kind readers, so let's get right into it!
I want to thank reader @torikittymeow on Instagram for pointing me in the direction of @megalodona on Instagram, who kindly allowed me to share these pics with you. @megalodona spotted these at Walgreens this week:

I enlarged @megalodona's pic a bit for a closer look:

UPDATE:
A few days ago, I was checking out the hashtags for this collection on Instagram and noticed that @smashbravo had some gorgeous close-ups on her Instagram page. I immediately asked her if I could share her pics with you here, and she kindly said yes! (And apparently I wasn't the only one who noticed her pics because right after I talked to @smashbavo, several of you tagged me on her pics! So thanks to everyone who thought to tag me--I appreciate it!)

All of the following pics of the makeup in this collection are courtesy of @smashbravo on Instagram. She found the Pocahontas collection and the Mulan collection at her local Walgreens (no Ariel) and she also found these lip balms:

Walgreens Disney Dare to Dream Collection Lip Balms
(retail: $1.99 each)
Pocahontas Lavender Love, Ariel Coral Creamsicle, Mulan Cherry Blossom
Just like the Disney Belle lip balms, these lip balms are manufactured by Townley. I've been hearing really good things about the fragrances and flavors of these lip balms from you, so I can't wait to try some.

Aside from the lip balms in this collection which are made by Townley, everything else appears to be made by Markwins (owners of Wet n Wild, Physicians Formula, Black Radiance, The Color Workshop, Bonne Bell and Lip Smackers). BUT, you wouldn't know that by looking at the packaging:

@smashbravo was nice enough to share this pic of the back of the beauty book with us and, as you can see, the fine print says "Distributed by Walgreens" with no mention of Markwins. However, in the past few days, I have heard from several of you here on the blog and on social media who have said that the boxes that these items are shipped in say "Markwins." Some of you have also mentioned that your Walgreens Beauty Advisors have told you that these come from Markwins. I obviously cannot confirm that for you personally since I haven't seen this collection in person yet, but you can always ask a Walgreens employee at your local store for more info if you need it.
Enough about that for now though, because don't you want to see the inside of this beauty book? Take a look:

@smashbravo has another pic of this beauty book HERE where you can see that the purple shade, Blossom, looks a bit duochrome-y. Such pretty colors in this book as well, right? And do you notice that the lipstick in this book looks sort of like a WnW lipstick? I wonder if the formulas are similar.

@smashbravo said that there were four shades in this gloss range; here's a closer look at the shade she purchased:

Again, I don't have close-ups of the Ariel makeup to share with you yet, but I will of course update this post if/when I get some.
Now on to the bags and nail polish:

SOHO Makeup Bags ($8-$10)
Orly Nail polish ($6.99 - 10.99)
As you can see, there are also SOHO Beauty makeup bags in this collection, as well as Orly nail polishes.
As I was working on this post, longtime reader and photo contributor Melissa (@mommywiggles on Twitter) kindly shared the following pics--she spotted this display at her Walgreens as well:

Many thanks to reader Beth for these close-ups of all of the polishes in this collection. Beth purchased Part of Your World and shared this spoon swatch:

The moment I saw this, I was instantly reminded of the Orly polish Mermaid Tale, from the Summer 2012 Flash Glam FX collection. Take a look at Jen's swatches...it looks identical to me!

Beth purchased this set and shared this spoon swatch of the glitter polish with us:

Colors of the Wind
Beth also mentioned that the orange shade in this set, Fly Like Flit, is identical to Orly Ablaze from last summer's Baked collection (she owns Ablaze, so the confirmation is 100%). So if you want to see what that one looks like, it's the first set of swatches in Jen's post HERE.
MULAN POLISHES:

Full-size Orly Color Blasts (3.7 oz each)
Be True to Your Heart, Speak Your Mind, Princess Ping, Family Honor

Cri-Kee Mini Kit (0.18 oz. each)
Princess Ping, Mushu, Strength & Discipline
image credit: Beth for Nouveau Cheap
The more I'm looking at all of these polishes, the more I'm thinking that many of them could be repromotes from previous collections. This wouldn't be shocking considering that many of you have mentioned that the shades in the previous Walgreens Disney collections were repromotes. So be sure to go through your Orly stash before you shop this collection, just to be safe.
MAKEUP BAGS:

There are both large bags and smaller bags (see far right below) in this collection. The price for the larger bags is $12 and the smaller bags are $8.

I think it's safe to say that e.l.f. probably won't have products in the Dare to Dream collection, and I don't know if we'll see the usual Ardell lashes and Scunchi hair accessories either. It seems like Walgreens is changing gears a bit with these new Disney collections (there used to be Kiss nail art kits in these collections as well but we haven't seen those in a while).
Thanks so very much, @smashbravo, Beth, @megalodona, @mommywiggles and @torikittymeow, for the great tips and pics. I truly appreciate it!
I'm not into these bag designs, but I'll probably add the beauty books to my collection even though they're not ELF.
ReplyDelete*picks jaw up off floor* Just go ahead and take my money now!! Lol at least all I need is the beauty books...I'm so glad they offer these online but I'm kinda worried about these...the lip balms are the only things not available online yet and if they're going to be made by the same company I wonder if they'll be online or not...I hope so! They picked the artwork back up with these!!
ReplyDeleteHow cute! It's too bad we won't get these here, I love the Ariel theme :-)
ReplyDeleteOmg finally something with pocahontas!!!!!!! About time!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI completely agree!
DeleteI MUST HAVE ALL THE THINGS!!!
ReplyDeleteThe collection is so fun! I can't wait to see it. Maybe something will come home with me!
ReplyDeleteI actually found this entire display Fri at Walgreen's. The sticks in the Pocahontas set are highlighters. Going to probably pick one up!
DeleteI wish the Lion King was in the princess collection cause I'd be all over that!
ReplyDeleteTrue!!! I would absolutely go crazy for that!!!!! :) I loved The Lion King when I was a kid and I still do!!
DeleteI just visited Walgreens and the employees were so kind to bring out the unopened boxes so I could grab some of these items. I noticed that the boxes were marked "WNW POCAHONTAS" etc on the side so I asked if they were distributed by Wet n Wild. They told me its always been wet n wild and I asked wasn't it elf? Then the employee pointed to the top of the box where it said Markwins and said they've always been distributed by Markwins as they own elf and Wet n Wild. Hope this helps!
ReplyDeleteI don't think Markwins owns ELF though - weird. o_O They own Wet and Wild, Black Radiance, Physicians Formula, Color Workshop, Bonnebell, and Lip Smackers.
DeleteDan-eee, Rebekah is absolutely correct. That beauty advisor is incorrect. Elf is owned by TPG Growth, while WnW is owned by Markwins. But thank you very much for confirming that the boxes said Markwins, since the actual packaging of the beauty books (which I'm about to post pics of!) only say "Distributed by Walgreens." So this helps a lot! :)
DeleteYeah I thought it was odd that she said it's always been distributed by Wet n Wild lol thanks for clearing that up!
DeleteOh and those Pocahontas sticks are lumanizers in two different shades, and there are two different Ariel eyeshadow quads as well.
DeleteThere are 3 different shades of Luminizers, actually. 2 of the shades just look very similar.
DeleteWhere can I find these online?
ReplyDeletePlease see the second paragraph of this blog post. Thanks! :)
DeleteI'm going to hate myself for buying all these lol. I have a serious thing for beauty books. I've never stalked a post so hard!
ReplyDeleteYou're going to love my next post! :)
DeleteHey G, you might have already saw this yourself, but the one things in the Ariel display are eyeshadow quads, not nail polishes, based on the pictures in this reddit comment: https://www.reddit.com/r/MakeupAddiction/comments/3adbpj/new_walgreens_disney_dare_to_dream_collection/cscfpnk .
ReplyDeleteI'm eager to see the next post mentioned in the comment above this! Thanks for all the updates on the Disney collections this past year or so. :D
I am still waiting for a Tiana collection =/
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, I'm sure it'll come!! Ever since the original Ariel collection came out last year I have been waiting and waiting for Belle. I've only found the bags and got two but no luck on the rest xD I'm sure they'll do Tiana if they're doing Pocahantas and Mulan :)
DeleteThis is so cool!! I will be looking out for those eyeshadows!! Thanks for the update!! :)
ReplyDeleteThese are so cute! 💖 Probably my favorite bags so far. Hope to find these soon.
ReplyDeleteI can honestly say that I have a library of Disney makeup books.
ReplyDeleteYou are not alone, girlie!! :)
DeleteAre ppl buying these because the actual product is great or because it's a Disney thing?
ReplyDeletePeople buy these for both reasons. Some are collectors and others just want pretty makeup. :)
DeleteYeah, both. I don't know about these, because I haven't tried them yet, but the ELF Disney products are generally good quality. They're also way cheaper than the so-so Mac Disney collections.
DeleteOh dear....Little Mermaid is my favorite disney movie ever EVER and then even before we saw the close ups that green sparkle caught my eye....and its called part of your world. The greastest disney song EVER. *Throws cash at screen
ReplyDeleteLol! :)
DeleteI've been to my Walgreens several times and noooo luck. 😔. I'm hoping drugstore.com sells them!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your work on this!
You're so welcome. I really wanted to get as much info as possible in this post, so that everyone can have a good idea of what's out there, in order to determine what's worth the hunt! :) SO glad I could help, and I hope you find the display soon!!
DeleteWell distributed isn't the same as manufactured and the design is too close to the other ones. But either way I love the new design. I'll wait for swatches tho. I have stayed away from the other books because I was more so wanting to buy them to collect.
ReplyDeleteExactly. That's why I mentioned that Markwins was printed on the cartons, because the only thing printed on the actual products is the distributor (Walgreens). :)
DeleteI finally found Belle and that isn't even on line yet. So looks like this collection Dare to Dream, may take a bit. *Sigh*, I can wait!
ReplyDeleteBelle IS online. See the second paragraph in this post! :)
DeleteI so need to hunt this display down ASAP! I saw the makeup bags yesterday at Walgreens but not the makeup part of it! Thanks for the heads up G :)!
ReplyDeleteDidn't see this at the Walgreens in Sarasota yet but good news was the Jasmine & Frozen stuff was at 50% off!
ReplyDeleteWill try to hunt them down in Jax too.
Ahhh I've been stalking the various Walgreens around town and they have put out nothing new in months! Seriously seeing stuff that was new months ago on the front shelves in the cosmetic dept is getting so old when all this new stuff has been posted... I wonder what is going on with the Walgreens in my city.. there's a billion and none of them have any of the new stuff =(((
ReplyDeleteOh mulan!! How charming!
ReplyDeleteOn smashbravos Instagram account she has some closer shots of the Ariel beauty book and the eyeshadow quads in past posts! :)

Can I get a Black Radiance re-promote to represent Tiana??
ReplyDeleteI bought the Mulan cherry blossom lip gloss and the Pocahontas Great Spirit illuminizer. I like the illuminator and the gloss has decent color payoff, but it smells like crayons! It doesn't really have a taste, but the smell is initially kind of off-putting. The gloss says it is distributed by Townley Inc and has the website www.townleygirl.com on it.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to edit to add that it wasn't a lip gloss, but a lip balm.
DeleteI just bought the Pocahontas Lavender Love lip balm, and I'm disappointed that is neither smells nor tastes like lavender. It smells like sweet plastic! It also doesn't leave any color on my lips, which I like. I also think it's really moisturizing and has a fantastic texture.
ReplyDelete@smashbravo just posted all of the Ariel stuff!!!! WITH swatches!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIf you want to update your blog, @smashbravo has uploaded some more pictures and swatches of this Disney collection.
ReplyDeleteJust a heads up - the lovely woman at the beauty counter in Walgreens told me today that they keep getting NEW and DIFFERENT things for the Disney collection almost every week. She also said they have plans to add new items every month. :)
ReplyDeleteThere is also a Belle (Beauty and the Beast) one too. The Bell beauty book is from ELF
ReplyDeleteHas anyone tried the Ariel lip balm, coral creamsicle? How is the color and moisturizing? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI Just bought about ten of these items for 20.00. One book Jasmine, Mulan eyeliner kit, Jasmine bronzer stick, four glosses, mulan fingernail polish. They were on the clearance end rack of my Walgreens today! I think I may go back tomorrow and get the bronzer as I didn't realize it came with a brush :D The clearance prices is 50 percent off.
ReplyDeleteMy local Walgreens must have been holding onto these, because today they had everything at once... Belle, Mulan, Pocohontas and Ariel. Bags, polishes, makeup. They also just put out the Villains bags.
ReplyDeleteI got the small Mulan bag and the Mulan Beauty Book. I also got the Beauty and Beast elf cream shadows - my wife bought me the Belle beauty book when we were on vacation in July.
I'm already playing with it all, and I'm really impressed with the quality of the shadows. The mattes are surprisingly lovely!
