Many thanks to my pal Emi of Project Swatch for the following pics. Emi spotted this display at Rite Aid (I swear she has the best Rite Aids EVER in her area) and she was nice enough to share with us:

*Several sources have indicated that the Tracy Reese/Sally Hansen collaboration for Spring 2014 only contains the first three shades above (see Vanity Fair's article here) and here's a blurb from a media announcement:
For the sixteenth consecutive season, Tracy Reese collaborated with Sally Hansen to create three exclusive nail colors to complement her Spring 2014 Collection. The custom Sally Hansen nail look worn on the runway was designed to reflect a window pane pattern which is seen throughout the collection.
THE SHADES
Complete Salon Manicure in Carnivale – Coral
Complete Salon Manicure in Mojito – Green
Complete Salon Manicure in Batbano Blue – Blue
So maybe At First Blush was a late addition? From what I can tell by some quick Google searches, it's not part of Prabal Gurung's or Rodarte's collections either. So yeah, I have no idea.
Have you spotted this collection in your area yet? How do you think it compares to previous Sally Hansen/NYFW collaborations? I'm happy to see that dark chocolate polish in the Rodarte collection--it reminds me of Bittersweet from the Fall 2010 Tracy Reese Collection, which I loved (and still love). Mojito, from the Tracy Reese collection, reminds of last spring's Tracy Reese shade, Green Tea. I'm wondering how similar the two are--if you own both, I would love to know! And I'm happy to see that vivid blue shade (always a hit with Nouveau Cheap readers, of course!) in the CSM formula.
Thanks so much, Emi, for the great sighting and pics. I really appreciate it!
I saw this at Walgreens yesterday but I didn't get anything. I kind of like Batbano but just don't wear blue polish much.
ReplyDeleteI love that type of blue for my toes in the summertime so I'll probably end up caving, even though I have 1,237 bottles of very similar blues. LOL!!
DeleteYay!!! Now I'll have to keep an eye out for both of these CSM collections - this one, and the beach-brights!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you find both... soon!
DeleteHow's the new job coming along, BTW? :)
It's coming along well! I'm settling in nicely, picking things up quickly. And I love writing documentation, and everyone else hates it...so they're all doubly thrilled to have me :)
DeleteAre those in the background part of the core SH Complete Collection?
ReplyDeleteSome of them look like extras form this collection, and some look like leftovers from the Spring 2014 Color Vibrations Pastels on Point collection:

I saw these at Walgreens as well, and didn't purchase anything. The shades just didn't look unique enough.
ReplyDeleteI think it's less that I have awesome Rite Aids, and more that we have a ton of them, which I obsessively visit :)
ReplyDeleteHow weird is that? I was just thinking about an hour ago that it was weird that these hadn't been seen yet!
ReplyDeleteIs that a rerelease of LE Gold Roses in the back?
ReplyDeleteOn the left, behind Cinnamon and Clay? That looks an awful lot like Tutu Pretty (from the Pastels On Pointe LE collection.)
DeleteLove the look of some of these! Hope to find it soon. Emi does really seem to have the best Rite Aids for sure!!!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if the Batbano Blue was identical to Blue my Mind. They appeared identical in the store.
ReplyDeleteI frequently purchase the seasonal Sally Hansen CSM shades, just to find that the colors are nearly identical to shades in the permanent line.
It is the same shade- I got a bottle from SH PR and it has the original Blue My Mind label/ bar-code plus the sample label of Batbano Blue.
DeleteI just picked up mint condition tonight. I thought(for my collection at least) it was very unique! It definitely isn't a mint like Essie's mint candy apple or fashion playground, but I loved it because it pulls more yellow green while still retaining an almost white/pastel quality. It also has very fine subtle shimmer running through it. I hope that all made any sense! Lol I'm horrible at describing things. Anyways, it reminds me of Deborah Lippmann's new polish in spring buds(which I don't own) not sure if that's an appropriate comparison, as that one might be more chartreuse, but the color of the sally hansen is gorgeous and opaque and I would recommend this color as its great for spring! And I actually took it around the store to try and find something similar but I really couldn't! :)
ReplyDeleteGood description PuraVida. I do like this shade and haven't found a dupe.
DeleteI purchased At First Blush, and it's beautiful! It's a richly pigmented light pink...perfect for spring! I've only been able to find it at my local HEB!
