Spotted: Maybelline Limited Edition Color Show Nail Falsies Collection

Well here's something I haven't heard a THING about...until now. Reader mmaaix just spotted this new Maybelline display and was nice enough to share a pic. Check it out:

Maybelline Liimted Edition Color Show Nail Falsies Collection
(retail: $7.99 each)

These are self-adhesive "flex nail extensions" (aka: flexible artificial nails). As you can see, they come in a variety of different colorful designs.

Are you an artificial nail wearer? Think you'll give these a shot when you see them out and about at the drugstores? Thoughts?

Thanks so much, mmaaix, for the great sighting and pic!

  1. Thank goodness this is one product I can pass on! With all the new products coming out, my wallet is thanking me for passing on these! ;D

  2. Is that Rachel Bilson? It sure looks like her, although nowadays Maybelline uses models in their ads, not actresses/celebrities. Anyway, I'm not a fake nail person, but if I see a design I like I might buy it!

  3. I saw these in HEB the other night. Another gal browsing bought 2 or 3 of them and my first thought was I hope she blogs about them somewhere online. I read the directions...apparently there is a separate sheet of adhesive that I guess acts like double-stick tape. You select the one with the matching number on it of the nail size you want to use. Then you apply the sticky part directly to your nail, peel the top protector off of it and press the nail onto that.

  4. Anyone here remember Lee Press-On Nails?? I think I'm still traumatized by those cheesy ads.

  5. Haven't used these single middle school! It's been a very long time. At least they're easy to take off!

  6. I just bought one box! Gonna see how they work. I don't think the impress nails work well so I'm hoping this will be better

  7. I would soo love to try these but unfortunately my nail bed is considered high arched so fake nails don't work for me. Neither do the polish strips w/o wrinkling to fit my curve. :-(

  8. I haven't used self-adhesive nails in years , but perhaps technology has helped them adhere better than they used to .

That was the problem I always had . They would pop off really easily & it would be so embarrassing . >.<

Wish there were close-ups . The red & black sets on the left intrigue me .

  9. I spotted these too, but was not tempted at all. I'd much rather spend my money on something like the Revlon Marchesa nail decals.

  10. The directions are microscopic!!! I can't see how to apply them!!!

  11. I used these and was quite impressed! I hope they are not only limited edition. I had them on for two weeks, got lots of compliments, and only removed them so I could change the polish color.

  12. I found these yesterday at Dollar Tree which means I only paid $1 per pack I got 3 of them and put 1st set on a couple of hours ago... So far so good!! My only complaint is the underside is black which doesn't look natural at all!
