Four more limited edition Maybelline Color Tattoo shades?

When I posted about the four new limited edition Maybelline Color Tattoo shades, the NUMBER ONE complaint/criticism I heard from (a lot of) readers was that they wished Maybelline would release more earthtones and neutrals. GUESS WHAT? Reader Vick just left a comment on the You Tell Me page and I think it's going to make a lot of you very happy!

Vick writes:
Happy to report from a FB makeup group that there are FOUR more new LE Maybelline Color Tattoo's! I have only see packaging shots, no swatches yet.

barely beige: possibly dupe for Mac Painterly paint pot.
mossy green: a deep bronzy olive color
rich mahogany: a deep brown with shimmer
gold shimmer: a shimmery honey gold color

Thanks so much for the scoop, Vick! Hopefully these start showing up in stores SOON!

  1. I have been thinking about buying MAC Painterly, but was hesitant due to the price. I hope that barely beige works for me instead, and I can find it soon! The bronzy olive also sounds totally gorgeous.

    1. They have it at rite aid. and riteaid is having buy one and get one 1/2 off this week. You need to look at the place they have new display item because I look at where they have the other one and did not see it.

  6. Maybelline should just make the 8 LE shades permanent because hunting for these has been very difficult......

  9. I am very interested in all of these! I don't actually have any of the other shades, but since I have heard such good things about this line, I won't hesitate to grab them if I find them.

  10. I have 3 of these from the first ones that came out and I love them. I'd really like to find the beige and mahogany in these. Hopefully they won't stay LE.

  11. I do hope that Barely Beige is a Painterly dupe. I'm starting to run low on that paintpot!

    1. Yes I have barely beige and it's an excellent dupe for Mac's Painterly.

  12. I hope the first two aren't shimmery. We don't all want to have shimmer on our eyelids (as a 50+ woman, it's rarely flattering... in moderation, perhaps).

  13. I want all of these new shades, but I can't seem to find them anywhere :( Anyone in the Northern California area spot them yet? (Bay Area, Sacramento, etc.)

  14. NOO! I love the Maybelline Color Tattoo cream shadows, but they're not available in Hong Kong :( I wish I lived in the US now, so that I could get my hands on these new shades!

  16. I just went to Rite Aide & found these! they were almost out, but I got 3 of them (no more gold shimmers left). the beige is not a painterly dupe, it is very shimmery. The packaging says that they are LE. I'll have swatches on my blog soon.

    3. No it's not a painterly dupe but rather a Bare Study one!

    4. It's actually more of a dupe for Bare Study. Not close to Painterly with all that shimmer

  17. Hopefully they'll pull a Revlon and end up making all 8 permanent.. (Revlon had those "LE" lipglosses which became permanent)

  18. Yes! I bet if they sell well enough they'll be added to the permanent collection (hopefully). The only one that doesn't sound too appealing for my skin tone is the olive color. I was just thinking about ordering Painterly by MAC once I ended my makeup no-buy in September, so this news came at the perfect time :)

  20. o my i can't wait to find these. i got bad to the bronze and the taupe one. the taupe one is a little harder to work with but i found the perfect use for them. i have black hair and most brow products r too redtoned brown for me. i used the taupe tattoo shadow on my brows and they look so good.

  24. ooh these sound more like the neutral colors that people have been waiting for, but I bought too many when they first came out with this product and hardly used them. I'm wondering if I should sell the ones I have. =\
