Since got2b products are BOGOFREE this week at CVS, I want to be sure you know about these two new products.
The first is one I mentioned yesterday, and it's a new dry shampoo called got2b Rockin' It Dry Shampoo. I finally saw this at my local CVS the other day, so hopefully it's now at yours as well. If I remember correctly, it retails for around $6.50 at CVS.
Next up, there's another new and quite intriguing product from got 2b--check this out:
(From beautyadvisorlounge.com)
Henkel’s got2b hair care brand is bringing to the U.S. market its Powder’ful volumizing styling powder. The got2b Powder’ful volumizing styling powder is formulated with virtually weightless micro-particles designed to help texturize the hair’s surface, giving hair root lift in 10 seconds, according to the company. Shake the powder onto dry hair to give hair an immediate volume boost. The product will be available in March at Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid, Ulta and Meijer locations for $5.99.
Now the press release above says this will hit stores in March, but as we all know, sometimes products tend to hit certain stores a bit early, so that's why I'm alerting you to this now--in case you find it in your area, why not get it when there's a BOGOFREE sale, right?
I couldn't find any pics of this new product, but you can catch a few glimpses of it in this video.
Have you tried the new got2b dry shampoo yet? Are you curious about this new volumizer? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
That almost sounds like another dry shampoo. I wonder if the powder absorbs oil to create volume? Also this BOGOFREE sale makes the price of the dry shampoo more than reasonable if you pick up two for the price of one. I'd love to hear if anyone has tried this now. Must have reviews!
ReplyDeleteThe texturizing powder sounds like the Osis Dust-It Mattifying Powder. It's good stuff and gives some serious volume.
ReplyDeleteJust checked. Schwarzkopf owns both Got2b and Osis product lines. I would be surprised if these 2 products weren't similar.
ReplyDeleteI saw some of the got2be products on clearance, yesterday, at Ulta. I suspect they are redesigning the packaging.
ReplyDeleteIf you cant wait to try this Sallys Beauty Supply has a similar product like this. Its by Beyond the Zone. But ill probably still try the got2b too.
ReplyDeleteI got the Got 2 Be dry shampoo a while back and really liked it. It smells great and worked well. BUT after only a few uses, I went to use it and THE BOTTLE WAS COMPLETELY EMPTY. Nothing in it. Only air. No idea where the rest went. There were no holes, nothing came out the bottom. There wasn't even any trace powder left, which usually there is with dry shampoos. That made me sad because I thought I'd found my HG.
ReplyDeleteDonna: That's exactly what I thought too! I am curious if it has oil-absorbing properties as well.
ReplyDeleteAnne: WOW, thank you for making that connection! I never would have known. Excellent! :)
Kimberly: Hum. I mentioned a few months back that they were undergoing a packaging makeover, but I thought that already took place (the packages are all silver now). I'm wondering if the clearance has more to do with the new products coming out than the packaging redesign? Maybe they're discontinuing some stuff to make room for the new stuff?
ashwillis83: Ooooh, really? A few readers have told me that BTZ makes a dry shampoo (which I have yet to try!) but I didn't know about a volumizing powder too! Thanks so much for the heads-up!
Alexis: You know what? Someone said they had that same experience with the Suave dry shampoo too. I'm wondering if maybe the nozzle is partially clogged? If that were the case you would hear the air but the powder wouldn't come out. Did you try running the nozzle under warm water for a minute? Maybe that might do the trick (if it's not completely empty, of course). Also, where did you get it? I would *definitely* take it back and let them know it's defective. Hopefully you could exchange it!
No, there was nothing in that can, Donna. I shook and shook. We passed it around the house all shaking in disbelief. LOL, that can was empty. Really bummed me out. I hope that Suave doesn't have that problem! I really want to try it.
ReplyDeletesome times there can be pinhole leaks in cans....has happened to be with soda, please dont let it discourage you, my Suave is just fine!
ReplyDeleteIs it me or was dry shampoo hard to find for years and years? Now suddenly every where?! LOL
Alexis, G is the one who asked if the nozzle might have been clogged. I know nuthin'! lol
ReplyDeleteAlexis: Yeah, as Donna pointed out above, I was the one who asked that. lol! I have to say that if the nozzle wasn't clogged, then I think robin's right (see above) that there might have been a pinhole leak in the can. And I also agree that I hope that doesn't discourage you! I've owned dozens (literally) of dry shampoos over the past several years and none of them have had this problem. Not a one. I'd try to exchange the can you bought, and if you don't have the receipt, definitely try the Suave version when you see it in your area because it's under $3 and it it's pretty awesome (well, in my opinion!). Hope that helps.
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks, robin and Donna! :)
Love Got2B new dry shampoo. It has given my beloved Batiste Tropical a push to the back of the shelf. This dry shampoo has a crisp citris scent, which I find really refreshing. It sprays out white (scary for someone with black hair), but once rubbed in and brushed with a boar-bristle brush it disappears.
ReplyDeleteI prefer this over Batiste now, as it has a lighter feel; just like that of freshly washed hair, whereas Batiste added texture and volume, and a dryness like my hair had been overprocessed. I will use Batiste on days when I need extra volume for an updo, but I think it's safe to say that Got2B is a new love for me.
Grumpy Mom: WOW! Thanks so much for the great info. I adore Batiste, but it sounds like got2b might make my hair feel a bit "cleaner", which is always a great thing, especially when I'm just using it on my bangs (and don't really require added volume). Have you tried the new Suave dry shampoo? If so, I'd love to know what you think of it compared to got2b. Thanks! :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried the new Suave---but only because I haven't been able to find it! I've tried many dry shampoos, both "higher-end" and drugstores, and the Got2b has been the best for me IMO. It really does feel clean, as opposed to something masking the oiliness.
ReplyDeleteI get oily around the hairline on the sides of my face, and this has been a lifesaver. I can run my hands through my hair, and wear it up, and there is no residue or anything visibly apparent on my dark hair. Love it!
I am so grateful for your post about the sale - I've never tried this brand and I purchased two for one on the got2b dry shampoo. So far my verdict is A++ What a great price even without the sale! I finally joined the beauty club too. I don't know how I've been missing this bonus...I couldn't find the Suave dry shampoo and I really wanted to try it. Boo. ;-) I have enough to tie me over for many moons so I can't complain. I actually purchased the three bottles they had left of the got2b and one of the Tresseme. There was another brand there too that I had never heard off. It used to be so difficult to find this product - I love that we have so many options now.
ReplyDeleteOops, so sorry for the confusion Donna & G. ;) That's what I get for scrolling through and quickly reading/responding. Either way, hope people have better luck with this product than I did.
