My contact at Jesse's Girl told me these were coming in 2011, but I had no idea I'd find them at my local Rite Aid so soon! I'm so excited for this new formula and bottle shape!
I think there might be more shades in this collection as you can see that there are empty slots in this display. Hopefully I'll get some of these in the near future and be able to show you swatches!
What do you think? Are you excited for this new nail line from Jesse's Girl? Do you own any of the older, original formula polishes?
I like the bottle design but I don't see any colors jumping out at me.
ReplyDeleteI like the look of the peach one & the green one! Thanks for sharing. :O)
ReplyDeleteThese look interesting. I own a Jesse's Girl polish that I really like. It is a steel grey foil. Fun little polish,
ReplyDeletei like the bottle design much better than their previous one. and i think it's hilarious that i've seen this stock photo (the nail chick on the display) used for at least 6 different brands this year. pfft, lame.
ReplyDeleteI think this is a one out of two parter collection? I saw this display as well as another one with very glittery colored polishes at my RA and picked up 3 that caught my eyes immediately. one looked like a ultra bling version of Zoya's Charla (teal with yellow green duochromeyish), one's blurple with lavender duochromeyish coloring that reminds me of one of the SH HD polishes, and one that's a glitter version of SH Hidden Treasure (ie same type of color, but not flakies, but still gorgeous looking).
ReplyDeletethe formula on these are pretty amazing btw for $2 polishes. I did 2 coats of the Zoya Charla dupe (or i don't know if ti's a dupe, i don't have charla lol, but it makes me think of Charla...) and i can barely seel VNL only if i hold my hands up to light. goes on nicely smooth as well, and hasn't chipped yet after about 4-5 days (just some tip wear, but i don't take care of my nails and wash dishes with hands instead of using gloves, so i don't complain about that)
I've never tried this brand before, but I picked up "Riff Raff" (brown shimmer) and "Firefly" (sheer opalescent glitter) and I think I'm really going to like them. I did a Q&D swatch on the back of a magazine and the Riff Raff looks quite opaque for such an inexpensive brand. I'm tempted to try a couple of other colors, but the brown was the one that really caught my eye.
ReplyDeleteI also found a few of those cute Snowman polishes still on sale. I did NOT get a deal on them (paid $1.99) and I need to find out if I was supposed to. But either way, these are going into the Christmas box for next year's stockings!
I picked up the 'Charla' dupe (Its called Glee) and 'Flirt' (A glass fleck peachy pink) and I was impressed with how opaque they were. I've had some disappointments with Sinful Colors and Confetti in terms of saturation with the glitters but both of these are great.
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to add that I went back to Rite-Aid and they did give me the after-Christmas discount that I should have originally gotten for those Snowman polishes. And they still have a few of them left at TWO area Rite-Aid stores, so if you like them, look for them!
