I've seen several bloggers mention the big NYX $1 sale that began yesterday on the NYX site, so I wasn't even going to mention it here since I know so many of you read the same blogs I read. BUT, then I saw this post by the lovely Jeweled Thumb, and I had to link to it here. JT shares some great insights about NYX's high shipping fees and why it still may be worth your while to make a purchase, depending on what products you want to buy.
Definitely check it out if you're considering taking advantage of this sale!

ReplyDeleteShipping was pretty high but with the products I purchased it was still a great deal, even cheaper than it would have been from Cherry Culture. However, I totally agree that it depends on what you are purchasing.
ReplyDeleteI think I had 11 or 12 items when checking out and the shipping was 7 bucks so not bad at all...plus i can never pass up NYX products!

Shipping seems to be determined by the number of items you purchase. I was looking at about 26-29 items and the shipping cost was $17 to Hawaii. When I hit 30 items the shipping cost was $19 to Hawaii.
ReplyDeleteI was adding and subtracting the highlight so I do not think it is based on what product, but simply how many items you are buying.
A lot of their items are not $1...how deceiving.

Thanks for the head's up on this sale. Since NYX isn't offered here in San Diego (grrr), I'm taking the opportunity to try out a few of their foundations (I'm Casper white and have heard their foundations are really pale) and concealers. I bought 7 $1 items and paid $6.95 in shipping. Woohoo!! ~Liz~
