Review: Paula's Choice Skin Balancing Pore-Reducing Toner for Normal/Oily/Combination Skin
I have to admit to you that I've never really been a big toner person. It's not that I don't like toners, it's just that I often forget to use them or, well, I'm just plain lazy about using them. When I received some skincare products from Paula's Choice several months ago, I must confess that my eye didn't immediately go to this toner. The first thing I tried was Paula's cleanser that ended up becoming a Holy Grail product for me. It took me a while to finally crack up open the toner and now I'm really regretting that I didn't try it sooner.

Review: Paula's Choice Earth Sourced Perfectly Natural Cleansing Gel for All Skin Types
As many of you know, I'm a long-time Paula's Choice fan. A few months ago, Paula Begoun discussed her products with me (she's very accessible on Twitter if you aren't already following her) and asked me to tell her my biggest skincare needs and concerns. She then sent me a personalized selection of products to try based on the information I provided here (by the way, she graciously said that I do not have "mature skin" as I had described it to her. At 42, that made my day. Ha!).
Of the products I've been testing for a few months now (skincare takes a lot of time to test) I want to start with my absolute favorite. It's very rare that I declare that something is my new "Holy Grail" product, but this is one of those times.

Paula's Choice Celebrates Leaping Bunny Certification with contest, free shipping and more
Exciting news to share with you today from Paula's Choice. Keep reading for all of the details!
Seattle-based cosmetics company Paula’s Choice LLC, has been cruelty-free for 17 years - and this month is proud to announce it will be wearing orange in a big way as the newest, certified member of the Leaping Bunny Program. Companies certified through the Leaping Bunny Program have made a voluntary pledge to eliminate animal testing from all stages of product development.
To celebrate this important milestone, Paula’s Choice is holding We Love Our Animals Photo Contest on its Facebook page. To enter, all someone has to do is post their favorite animal or pet photo along with a comment about why they believe beauty products should never be tested on animals. Each week, one photo will win a $100 Paula's Choice gift certificate. In the final week of the 4-week contest, a grand-prize winner will win a year’s supply of Paula’s Choice skin-care products of their choice. Even better, if people want to shop Paula’s Choice after entering the contest, the company will donate 5% of their purchase to the Johns Hopkins University Center for Alternatives to Animal Testing.
The requirements for the Leaping Bunny Certification include a commitment to eliminate animal testing not only from the company, but also from their ingredient suppliers. The result is a product guaranteed to be 100% free of new animal testing. All Leaping Bunny companies must be open to independent audits, and commitments are renewed on an annual basis. The program is administered by a coalition of animal rights organizations, including the Humane Society of the United States and the National Anti-Vivisection Society.
Paula’s Choice namesake founder Paula Begoun states, “All of us are thrilled to have this certification as definitive proof of our commitment to not testing on animals. Our pet friendly office with 15 dogs is proud of us, too.”

Review: Paula's Choice Resist Ultimate Anti-Aging Hand Cream SPF30
NOTE: Before I begin this review, I want to tell you that I will not be reviewing this product in terms of how it performs as hand cream, because I've actually been using it as a facial moisturizer. If this sounds a bit confusing, please keep reading and all will be explained!
Paula's Choice Resist Ultimate Anti-Aging Hand Cream SPF30
(retail: $15.95--on sale right now for $12.76. 1.7 oz)
Over the past several months, I've learned (thanks to some of YOU!) that this product has a bit of a cult following. If you're already a Paula's Choice fan, then you probably know that many people use this hand cream as facial moisturizer. When I heard that this hand cream was a great product for those with oily skin who are seeking physical sunscreen (as opposed to chemical sunsreen) in their facial moisturizers, I had to contact Paula Begoun and ask her for more details.
For those who don't know, Paula Begoun, author of the ever-popular Don't Go to the Cosmetics Counter Without Me and owner/founder of Paula's Choice and Beautypedia, is incredibly accessible. A few months ago, I sent her a tweet (you can follow her on Twitter here) asking her about this product, and she not only informed me that she was aware that fans were using this as facial moisturizer, but that some of her own staffers are hooked on using this product as facial moisturizer because of its sheerness and matte properties. She then offered to send me a tube for review and...how could I resist? (No pun intended.)
I've been using this product daily since mid-December, so I'm now ready to give you my review!
Keep reading for my thoughts on this product...
