The Lipstick League - Week of 8.1.16

The Lipstick League Question of the Week

Are you loyal to one eyeshadow primer or do you like to hop around and try new things? What’s your holy grail eyeshadow primer (or your favorite of the moment)?

G's answer: I'm pretty loyal to a group of primers, really. My holy grail eyeshadow primers are the Wet n Wild Fergie primer (which is now called Photo Focus Eyeshadow Primer but the ingredients are identical; you can compare for yourself here and here) and the Milani Eyeshadow Primer. But I always seem to have deluxe samples of Too Faced Shadow Insurance and Urban Decay Primer Potion lying around, and I love and use those as well. So yeah, those four primers in general are the ones that I rarely seem to stray from, because I know they work.

  1. UDPP is my favorite, but the Coastal Scents one is all right for me, too. (Took me over a year of wearing eye shadow almost every single day to use up a full size Coastal Scents primer.) But, I am always willing to try something new to see if I like it even better.

  2. NARS Primer for the eyes is my HG only thing that keeps my eye shadow from creasing

  3. I LOVE the Milani but they've stopped selling it by me and I don't want to place an online order for JUST THAT. I wish Ulta sold it! I'm almost out of my Milani, so I've got a Nyx one on backup to start on after that.

  4. I love the Nars primer. But I'm also looking into trying new ones

  5. Seriously eveyone needs to try The Balm's, Put a Lid On It. I think it's hand's above any, and I've tried a ton, primers.

  6. I've been using the wet and wild for a long time. That tube lasts and lasts. I picked up 4 of them at dollar tree. I'm set for life.

  7. When I do wear eye shadows I use Fergie by WNW. Like G said I have a bunch of Two Face and UD deluxe samples and will also use them.

  8. I have almost exclusively used Urban Decay's primer in Enigma (nude matte shade) since it came out a while ago. But I tried the Ulta brand primer in nude matte and it was very similar, it lasted just as long as the UD one.
