New NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipsticks Now Available

In case you don't follow NYX on social media and missed the big announcement:

The highly-anticipated NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipsticks are now available for purchase on the NYX website for $7 each. You get everyday free shipping on orders $25+, and you can also use code WELCOME25 for 25% off your order if you're a new customer (thanks to some lovely Instagrammers for that tip!).

If you haven't heard about these yet, according some early reviews that I've read online, these are supposed to be more like the traditional liquid matte lip colors that so many of us have been loving these days. I've seen them described as very opaque, long-wearing, and transfer-proof, and I've also heard that they set to a true matte finish (I've also heard that they are a little sticky after they set, but I cannot confirm that personally since I haven't tried them...yet!).

You can check out a swatch chart on the NYX Instagram page HERE.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to let me know that these are available for purchase now!

  1. How are these supposed to be different than their matte lip creams?

    1. I won't be able to personally answer that for you until I get one, but it appears that they have a very matte finish as opposed to the Soft Matte Lip Crèmes, which are just that (a soft matte finish). To me, there's a little bit of shine to the Soft Mattes and it looks like these are more of an intense matte finish. :)

  2. The matte cremes never really set on your lips, they're only matte with what feels like a lot of silicone in the formula. I am guessing that these will be a long wearing version.

  3. Just checked the site (for some reason, I only get your email after midnight of the day you post) and every single shade is sold out. Looks like they hyped it up beyond belief and didn't have enough stock to last 24 hours. I hate when that happens. Do you know if they're available on Ulta's site yet?

  6. $7? That's a fair price if they are full size and not a skimpy tube.

  7. I would love to try these. I'm always on the lookout for a true non-transfer lippie and it's waterproof is even better!
Hopefully they are not too drying.

    1. I wore my Rimmel 2 stage lippie (Provocalips? their crazy names always confuse me) for the first time in a long while today and was struck by how comfortable it is compared to several others I've tried lately (including the LE Milani ones which I was quite disappointed in, so dry).. so if you are looking for a comfy one from the DS I would recommend trying them. They are not matte though.
