The Lipstick League - Week of 5.18.15

The Lipstick League Question of the Week:

Which eyeshadow primer are you reaching for most often these days?

G's answer: I just bought another tube of both Milani Eyeshadow Primer (click here for my review) and Wet n Wild Fergie Eyeshadow Primer (click here for my review). I can't pick a favorite between the two--I really love them both equally. I do find that certain shadows tend to work a bit better with one formula over the other though, so that's why I keep both in constant rotation.

The Lipstick League Links of the Week:

EauMG - Fashion and fragrance! Victoria pairs perfumes with seven women’s Spring/Summer 2015 fashion trends.

Gouldylox Reviews - Looking to smooth your hair for summer? Me too! Check out the first post in my summer series about hair smoothing treatments. This one costs $50, takes 30 minutes and lasts for about a month.

we heart this - Stef started her very first skincare "routine" ever from Paula's Choice. See what she thought and how it worked on her wrinkles and acne (isn't she lucky to have BOTH?)

Beautygeeks - Being told you look tired is as excellent as being asked when the baby is due when you aren’t expecting. At least there’s a fatigue-fighting makeup trick to brighten eyes fast. Makeup pro Carly Wolk shows us how.

  2. Currently Coastal Scents.. came with a palette purchase. Really nice primer, reminds me of WnW (I've yet to try Milani although I have a tube purchased and waiting). It's lasted forever.. I've worn it daily for about six months now and it's still going strong.

  3. Have you seen the cute little Hard Candy highlight and contour duos at Walmart? Theyre only $6 and they come in about five or six shades. I got the angel face color because peachy colors look best on my skin but they have lighter and darker ones too. They have some that are more for blush and some that are more for bronzer. If I knew how to attach a picture I would!!

  4. The new UD Minor Sin, love it, along with the original but Minor is lighter with a more sheer shimmer.

  5. Too Faced from like two Christmases ago! Still going strong. In a pinch I have been using the NYC eye shadow primer stick. Cheap and easy!

  6. I mostly use the WnW one...I tried the Milani one, and it's good, but I like the WnW one a bit better. Depending on the eye shadow I occasionally use the white NYX one in the pot... Certain things seem to work better with that one (shimmery powders, glittery shadows)

  7. I haven't been using eyeshadow primers much. I have the Fergie one and one in an NYC palette, and have never warmed to either. I'm either applying shadow too soon or letting it dry too long before applying shadow. Not sure. What still works best for me is applying it wet.
