The Wednesday Question

Sorry for being MIA this week--it's a crazy month for my family since my brother's birthday, Mr. G's birthday and Father's Day all fall within two weeks of each other. These past few days, I've been busy planning something extra special for all of the men in my life and I haven't had time for much else! So anyway, thanks for your patience and I'll be back a bit later with some reviews and other fun posts for you!

In the meantime, here's this week's question:

What is your #1 go-to blush that you reach for the most, above all others? And why?

  1. ELF Studio Blush in Candid Coral. It adds a gorgeous flush of colour, and it doesn't add too much to my pale face. Just enough so I don't look dead, but not too much so I look like a clown. Love it!

  2. My everyday blush is Milani Rose Blush in Coral Cove. Just a perfect matte shade that seems to complement all tones. Glad I scooped it up!

  3. Wet n Wild's pearlescent pink because it gives me a nice glow and a little bit goes a long way - I hit pan on it last week and was like wtf...

    1. Yes, this is my personal favorite at the moment, too! For all the reasons you've mentioned! : )

    2. Ditto to this. Such a pretty pink for my fair skin and who can beat the price?!

    3. Is it really a good dupe for Nars Orgasm? That's what I've heard!

  4. NYX Pinched. It's the perfect peachy pink color that's easy to blend and goes with any makeup look! And it's got some golden shimmer, so I don't need to wear a highlight. I love applying it with my ELF studio angled blush brush. It's the only blush I own that I've hit pan on.

    1. I use these exact same products together too! Love my Pinched with my ELF angle blush brush.

    2. I've been using that blush a ton over the last month! It's beautiful!

  5. Milani Luminoso, hands down. It's one of the most flattering colors for my skin tone, it's easy to blend, and if I'm in a hurry, I don't need to worry about it overpowering my face. I have a blush collection that is impressive in scope and diversity, but I always come back to Luminoso.

    1. I'm with you on this one! After considering this question, I came to the conclusion that Luminoso is my go-to shade because it is super flattering and, you're right, great if you're in a hurry. It's just a great, all-around shade!

    2. I feel the exact same way about Luminoso!

  6. Mac Melba. Been my go-to for years now. Actually am shocked that I haven't hit pan at all...Mac prices have gone up but I think their blushes are great quality and last forever being pretty pigmented.

  7. The Balm's Hot Mama. It's a perfect peachy pink that adds just the right amount of shimmer to my face.

  8. Revlon Baby Stick in Pink Passion. While the other two colors were sheer to the point of non-existent, this one gives my cheeks a natural looking flush. I found some at Ocean State Job Lots a few months ago and I stocked up. It's easy to apply and lasts.

  9. L'Oreal True Match N5-6 Apricot Kiss. My actual foundation shade in that line is C3, but I'm a peach blush fan and most pink blushes leave me cold.

  10. Milani's baked matte blush in bella rosa. It just gives me a natural flushed look when I use a light hand and it goes with everything. :)

  11. Physician's Formula Rosy Glow and Tarte's Exposed.

  12. For me it's Nars "Lovejoy". It's a bronzy nude color on my skin with slight shimmer. I'm not into much shimmer, but this is wearable. I love it so because it goes with ANYTHING...dark smoky eyes for date night, bare lids with mascara, colored liner, etc. I've used this color and ventured into other shades, but I always come back. I also tried finding a cheaper dupe, but I just can't match to color. Something about it. I always have a pan of this in my stash!

  13. Milani Illuminating Face Powder in Beauty's Touch. I apply it with a kabuki and it gives me a soft pink glow. Since it's so sheer I can use it in a hurry and don't have to worry about it looking too dark or overdone.

  14. TheBalm's Blush Instain in Houndstooth! I find that it goes with nearly everything!

  15. Nars Exhibit A gives me a perfect rosy glow and on my skintone it's virtually mistake-proof.

  16. Milani Baked Blush in Rose D'oro is absolutely gorgeous and goes so well with my skin tone. It gives me a very light flush of color which is what I prefer, and it's so pigmented that I'm pretty sure I won't hit pan within the next two years.

  17. As a huge blush junkie, I have to say it's so difficult picking just one favorite (especially since I like to rotate through my collection so that I can make sure I'm using everything). My go-to blush at the moment is the Hard Candy Baked Blush in Living Doll -- it's such a fresh, light pink color with lots of glow that goes perfectly with summer. A close second would be my Innisfree Mineral Blusher in the orange color. :D

  18. If I do a full face I generally use the ELF St. Lucia blush/bronzer duo, but when I'm just wearing tinted moisturizer/BB cream I end up using Ulta cheek stain in Tickled.

  19. Frat Boy from The Balm. It's a pinky coral that lasts all day on me. Perfect for the summer

  20. NYX Pinched or Summer Peach, or Revlon's cream blush in Charmed.

I use all of these for a lovely, sweet flush that blends easily and can be toned up or down depending on how dramatic i feel. All three of these look great on my skin and I never really have to think with them other than just to not overdo it.

  21. Gosh I literally have 6 in rotation right now and it all depends on my outfit, mood, what I am doing for the day. They are Revlon Colorstay, Miliani Baked, PF HappyBooster and I don't remember all the color names and I am at work and can't check! LOL

  22. Milani Luminoso is my favorite! but I also love Loreal True Match in Innocent Flush.. love the color.. :D

  23. Both of the blushes have excellent pigmentation.. has a nice finish.. fresh and glows.. :D

  24. Probably Nars Orgasm. As generic as that sounds, it really does flatter pretty much anyone, & the combination of colors all blend togther to make a nearly perfect color that's flattering on any skin tone. I also like Deep Throat, also by Nars. It is a little more pink than Orgasm. Not to mention that entire line has great pigment, so it actuallynstaysnon like blush should.

  25. Hmmm. I don't have a favorite. I have a peachy mosaic I've had forever from New York Color which I like on light days since it's natural and has no sparkle or shimmer. I also like Milani's Coralina with its touch of shimmer for days when I aspire to glowiness. Revlon's cream blush in Pinched is another I like when I want a smidge of hot pink. Those are the three I use the most, I'd say. Blush tends to be less of a must-have for me, probably because if I'm out somewhere and need a pinch of color I can just rub a bit of lipstick on my cheeks. Or drink a glass of wine.

  26. My two are Mac Peachykeen and Nars Taos. Both give a great glow, stay on all day and go with any look I choose to wear. Peachykeen is basically orgasm for dark skin. Taos is more orange/gold. I'm a drugstore makeup hoarder, but when it comes to blush I cross over.

  27. Milani Luminoso is my favorite!
