Spotted: NEW L'Oreal True Match Minéral Foundation and Powder Collection

Many thanks to two lovely readers for this one! Reader Becky spotted the new L'Oreal True Match Minéral Foundation and Powder display at CVS this week and shared some pics with us. Take a look:

Reader Diana spotted this display as well, and was nice enough to share a close-up pic of the powder:

I'm curious how this new line will compare to the True Match Naturale Mineral line. Hum...

Thanks so much, Becky and Diana, for the great sighting and pics. I really appreciate it!

  1. I saw these at walmart over a week ago. The compacts look nice, but if you notice, they were too lazy to do single shades instead combining them to make one color. For me being so fair, the lighest shade or no shade would be the option. But since they combined 2 shades into one, this is definately not going to match my skin tone. This ones a fail for me. I dont understand the point of matching someones skintone if they are just going to combine multiple shades and call it one shade.

    1. I agree. 404 looks like it will be too light, and 406 is way too dark/orange.

  2. *hmm* When it comes to skin shades, I'm not a fan of combining a product for multiple levels of tone... for the extremely fair among us a product aimed at levels 1 AND 2 is clearly going to be too dark for the level 1 tones... otherwise, they'd use products for the level 2 tone in the first place. And, of course, there's no translucent option... *sigh*

  3. I hope these compare to the current line of foundation! That mineral makeup is one of my favorites, and I would cry if I had to start hoarding...

    1. I just found this display tonight at CVS and the prices do seem REALLY high- the foundation was $16-something and the powder $13-something. The coupon helps, but I'm not sure if I'd rather just spend a little more and get my Bare Minerals Touch-Up Veil!
