Review: Bath & Body Works Pure Paradise Collection

Summer's not quite over just yet, and if you want to enjoy that "summer feeling" now and through the fall and winter, I've got just the thing! I was sent some products from the Pure Paradise Collection for review a while back and, even though I regularly shop at B&BW, I actually had never tried this scent until I received these press samples. I don't know if it was the name that threw me off or what, but I stupidly overlooked this line all summer long. And I seriously regret that. Take a look...

Bath & Body Works Pure Paradise Collection
Shower Gel, Body Lotion and Fine Fragrance Mist
(retail: $11 - $14 at Bath & Body Works)

As of the time of this post, Signature Collection products are on sale for B3G3FREE at Bath & Body Works, and that includes the Pure Paradise Collection.

From the Bath & Body Works website:
Pure Paradise is an island fantasy inspired by white sand beaches, endless blue skies and clear turquoise waters as far as the eye can see. This alluring fragrance is a sparkling blend of fresh star fruit, frangipani and water lily drenched in sun-kissed coconut and white musk. Our sophisticated new pump delivers great coverage and delicate mist for the lightest, most refreshing way to fragrance!
A summer-chic blend of sparkling star fruit & ocean-kissed frangipani blossoms… it’s pure paradise in a bottle!
Top Notes: Fresh Star Fruit, Juicy Guava, Dewy Cassis
Mid Notes: Luscious Gardenia, Frangipani, Watery Lily
Dry Notes: White Musk, Blond Woods, Sun-Kissed Coconut

Let's start with my favorite of the three:

Pure Paradise Shower Gel

As most of us know, the scent of a product can vary depending on the formula. I have yet to meet a Bath & Body Works fragrance that smells identical in shower gel, lotion and body mist form--they all seem related, but not quite identical. For me, the Pure Paradise shower gel smells the best of the three products I received for review. Once you get it going in the shower, the combination of gardenia and coconut bursts and fills your shower. Honestly, this is the perfect combination of gardenia and coconut and if you like both of those scents, I cannot recommend this one enough. I feel like I'm on a tropical island whenever I use this product and it's currently the shower gel I most look forward to using in the morning.

Pure Paradise Body Lotion

My second favorite of the three, I don't get as much gardenia or coconut in this body lotion, but I do get lots of guava and star fruit. It's definitely a fun, fruity fragrance but, to me, it doesn't quite have the same tropical-island feel as the shower gel.

Pure Paradise Fine Fragrance Mist

I get mostly gardenia from this fragrance mist, with a fruity background. I don't detect that much of the lovely coconut note that I adore in the shower gel, but if you are a fruity-floral lover, this might be a nice choice for you.

FINAL VERDICT: I don't know how long the Pure Paradise Collection is going to stick around (the Autumn products are absolutely dominating the B&BW website right now!) so if you love gardenia and tropical fruits, I think you might want to get into your local store ASAP and test these out, if you haven't already. The shower gel, which again is my favorite of the three, is an island escape in a bottle and I just can't stress enough how lovely it is as it develops in the shower. If the thought of gardenia and coconut appeals to you, I think you might fall in love here--I sure did, and I plan to stock up before summer's officially over.

Are you a fan of the Pure Paradise Collection? What are your favorite summertime scents from Bath & Body Works?
