The Sally Hansen Fuzzy Coat and Sugar Coat Collections have landed

UPDATE: A lovely reader on Instagram has just spotted these displays at Target (in-store).

Back in March, I posted about how the new Sugar Coat (possible Zoya Pixie Dust dupes) and Fuzzy Coat (possible Nails Inc. Feather dupes) polishes were on the Target website but not yet available for purchase. Well they have finally landed at both Meijer and Duane Reade! A few days ago, reader Peaisms left the following tip on the You Tell Me page:
I found the Sally Hansen Fuzzy Coat and Sugar Coat textured nail colors today in two Duane Reade stores in NYC. They were in separate displays, each have eight colors to their collection, and there was also a new (new to me at least) Sally Hansen Salon Manicure Dry & Go Drops in both displays. I picked up three of the Sugar Coat colors and six of the Fuzzy Coat (I have the Nails Inc. version and they look identical to me, although I have only tried the Nails Inc. version.)
And today, reader @traceyloveslacquer on Instagram posted some pics of both displays, which she spotted at Meijer (they're BOGO1/2OFF at Meijer this week, by the way!). Tracey was nice enough to let me share these pics with you:

(retail: $5.69 each at Meijer)

Notice that this display states that these are Limited Edition. As you can see, there are eight shades in this range: white, yellow, mint green, fuchsia, red, pink, blue and black.

Keep reading to see the Fuzzy Coat display...

Notice that this display does not indicate that these are  Limited Edition. There are eight shades in this range:, but of course there are other colors floating around in these bottles--you can see close-ups here to get a better idea.

Like Peaisms said, many of these appear to be close dupes for the Nails Inc. Feather polishes. For example, that darker green shade above (Fuzz Sea) looks very much like Nails Inc. Brighton.

Have you spotted either of these displays in your area yet? Thoughts?

Thanks SO much, Tracey, for the great pics, and thanks Peasims for the great tip!

  2. I really want the mint green sugar coat! I can't wait for these to be on target.com or Walgreens. So excited!!

  3. I'm interested in the textured ones if they're glittery, like the Zoyas.

  4. Ooh! I didn't find these today, but I did get a new Sally Hansen Insta Dri (not sure if this has been posted). It's a pretty teal with shimmer called S-teal a base. I found it (along with the L'oreal candy colors and a new to me revlon sky blue shimmer called coast is clear) at Walgreens.

  7. These look pretty fun! I'm curious about the fuzzy ones, a cheaper alternative to Nails Inc. feather line would be good news for me!

  9. I have cats, so no "fuzzy nails" for me. In any way, shape or form! I DO want that mint Sugar Coat though, love mint and will love these if they're a glittery-matte (lol) like Zoya.

    2. Are you afraid your cats mistake your fuzzy fingers for tiny mice? :-)

  10. I'm not so sure about these either...but then again I'm still smitten with my jellies and glitter jellies lol I don't need a new obsession...I didn't get my hands on the loreal miss candy polishes yet! :p

  11. The one good thing about this texture trend is that it's helping me save money. I am not interested in these at all.

  13. I have all the JG Gumdrops collex so only want the black and white there. still on the fence re the 'fuzzy' ones... matte glitter may entice me enough to try at least one just for fun and to see how they might compare to other bar glitters I have like Kissy and Rina from Zoya (which may not be true bar glitters as I don't get any snags from them *shrugs* I dunno for sure though. I'm still new to the wonderful world of polish now that I do my own nails. I can save what would have gone to the salon or nail tech on colors) :)

  14. I picked up one of the Julie G textured polishes (hot cinnamon?) because it looked the most interesting of the available colors. I wore it for a day sans topcoat, and it was nice enough. But I still liked it better with a shiny top coat on the second day. So, really, I don't need the textured polishes because I am well stocked on glitters which will give me the same effect in the end.

  15. Do you think they're going to be sold at Walgreens stores? There's sadly no Target in Maui, HI. I'd love to get my hands on those polishes!

  16. The Target website has been informing me for the past week that the Sugar Coats are in stock at every Target in my area, but I've been to three different stores to check and no luck yet! I really want the mint and fuchsia colors.

  20. I have the sugar coat Razzleberry and I really like it! It's quirky! It feels like you have sand on your nails, which is interesting. The color is solid after one coat. It isn't quite matte but it isn't shiny either. Nice change from the regulars. :)

And just a note, the fuzzy isn't actually fuzzy. It's like paper flakes in a clear gloss.
