My recs for the Milani sale

 Milani Powder Eyeshdows

One of the most popular comments I tend to receive when I do a Milani review is: "Wow, I wish I could buy this but I can't find it in my area..."

Well with the current Milani sale (20% off sitewide and free ground shipping on all orders now through 11/26), I thought I'd give you some recommendations for some of my favorite Milani products that are only available on the Milani site (or are harder to find in stores).

Milani Limited Edition True Romance Eyeshadow Trio,  $5.99 (click here for my full review).

Remember when I reviewed this little limited edition gem and recreated the eye look of the model in the ad? Well I continue to love and use this trio consistently--it's remarkably versatile. Especially the cream shade, because it's unlike any other cream/beige/champagne shadow I own. It's cream but with a touch of gray to it, which makes it less stark and pale on the skin than other highlighting shades I own.

Milani Pure Love Limited Edition Nail Lacquers, $4.49 each (click here for my full review).

Speaking of recreating looks, I also recreated the nail look of the model in the Pure Love promotional photo, and all three of the polishes in this LE collection are stunning (either together or separate). If you never found these polishes in your area when they first released, now's your chance to snag them.

More of my favorites from Milani, after the jump...

Milani Limited Edition Color Play Felt Tip Liquid Pens, $6.99 each (click here for my full review).

I have been using this liner in the shade Black Point so much lately that I'm about to run out. It gives the most fine, clean, precise (and buildable) line of all the felt-tip liners I own. I honestly can't recommend it enough. It's not waterproof, but it does stay put on my oily skin all day and night without fading or smudging. I honestly wish I could give each of you one of these pens to try for yourself, because I think you'd understand exactly why I love it so much. I just can't recommend it enough.

Milani Powder Eyeshadows, $5.99 each (click here for my full review).

Now, these shadows seem to be very hard to find in certain stores, and the full range of shades is not available in any store; only on the Milani website. So if you've been wanting to try them, now's your chance. I still own you a review of the jewel-toned shades, but here's my review of the earthtones. My very favorite? Caramel Brown.

Milani Instant Eye Makeup Remover, $5.99 (click here for my full review).

Looking for a good makeup remover that's silicone, oil and fragrance free, doesn't leave you with foggy vision, doesn't sting and can remove even the most stubborn mascara with ease? This one might just fit the bill.

Milani ShadowEyez 12HR Eyeshadow Pencils, $6.99 each (click here for my full review).

Yes, I know that you can easily find these in stores, but I just have to reiterate here how much I love them, and how much I continue to use them since my original review. If you haven't tried out these little gems yet, now's a good time to pick one up (my favorite is Champagne Toast, which I love to use on the inner corners of my eyes).

Need some more recs? Check out the Milani category of my blog, here. In the meantime, I'd love to hear about your favorites from Milani, and what you're thinking about ordering during this sale.

The products featured in this post were given to Nouveau Cheap for previous reviews.

  1. The original powder blushes are absolutely fantastic. These are not on the Milani website, but they are still available at Cherry Culture which is having a similar sale. The baked blushes are also really nice if you like a shimmery finish. The liquid eye (used to be liquify) liners are great as well, very similar to the UD 24hr but can be problematic for sensitive eyes. Have to give a second to the suggestion for the shadoweyez pencils.. one of the best products to come out this year IMO. Just wish they had more neutral or wearable colors. Not only are they amazing alone, they make great bases, and even eye liners. I have even used them in the WL and they do not budge all day.

  3. As much as I absolutely love Milani products, they did such a poor job handling the last Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale. No order confirmation, no tracking, and I had to call their customer service. They told me they'd sent me a confirmation e-mail, but never did. Thankfully, I did receive the products weeks later. I get that they got an unprecedented amount of traffic, but there is no excuse for such piss-poor customer service. What a bummer.
