Hot deals: e.l.f. and Eve Pearl

Thanks so much to reader CiCiSparkles21 for the update that the big e.l.f. Labor Day Sale has been revealed and is now underway:

You've got about 11 hours left (from the time of this blog post) to get free shipping at e.l.f. with any $15+ order. Enter code LABORDAY at checkout. Ends tonight (9/3) at midnight Pacific.

And thanks to reader Maureen for the heads-up that Eve Pearl will be on HauteLook tomorrow, 9/4, beginning at 8AM Pacific. Obviously we won't know what products will be offered until the sale goes live, so if you're an Eve Pearl fan, log on bright and early tomorrow for the best selection.

Sidenote: I've been wanting to try the famous Eve Pearl Salmon Concealer for years now, but I've missed it the last few times it was on HauteLook (and the full price of $37 is out of my budget). I really hope it's available tomorrow for a good price--do any of you here own it? Thoughts? And if you bought it when it was on HauteLook the last time, what was the sale price? Thanks!

Thanks so much, CiCiSparkles21 and Maureen, for the great tips!

  1. I bought the Eve Pearl Salmon Concealer in Light (the one in the pod) about a year ago (or whenever they were having that %-off sale) and I loooooooooove it. I use it everytime I wear makeup and there's only a little dent in it. If you apply it with one of those fluffy brushes (I use the Sephora airbrush concealer brush), you only need the tiniest amount. I'm part Italian and I have inherited dark circles and this does wonders. Much better than even the Bobbi Brown correctors (although I do use a pink-toned BB corrector on top of this just to brighten my undereyes a bit).

  2. Other great deals is the Sleek Makeup 20% sale going on (no minimum purchase necessary) due to them relaunching their website and the US shipping has been WAY reduced from $10 to just a few bucks (got a couple of the blush by 3s for only $3 shipping ). For all the ppl lemming for the SLEEK i Divine pallets (good UD Naked dupe is the Storm) you can get them now and with 20% the shipping is practically free.

    Enjoy!

  4. I got the salmon concealer on hautelook earlier this year and if I remember correctly it was $25. I got the duo in medium/tan because I change colors in winter/summer.. like the person above me stated you only have to use the tiniest amount and it dramatically brightens my undereye in a natural way if that makes sense.. my only problem is soooo creamy that you have to use a bomb powder to set it to prevent creasing. I actually set with your hg physicians formula powder foundation I got from big lots because the only color I found(natural beige) is too light for me whole face. I find that combo works perfectly tho =]

  5. I got the Eve Pearl salmon concealer in light a looong time ago. I think I got it for around $20 because I knew it was somewhere close in price to the Bobbi Brown corrector. I'm almost through with mine so I am hoping it will be in the sale as well. As you can tell, I like it enough to repurchase it. It's creamy but has a very silky kind of of silicone type texture so that while it is creamy, it doesn't feel sticky creamy. I feel like my Bobbi Brown corrector can feel a bit tacky when I tap it over my dark circles. The Eve Pearl one is just very smooth when you apply it. A little does go along way as the other ladies mentioned. It can crease if you use too much, especially when adding a lighter concealer on top of it. I definitely set with a powder when I'm through. Oh, another thing is that the Eve Pearl concealer is no good if you have some dryness under your eyes. It can really emphasize the dryness and settle into some fine lines. If you use a good eye cream before applying, it remedies the problem just fine.

  6. so the concealer is $29.50. I wanted to try it but that price is still just too high for me. Oh well.

  7. e.l.f. has extended their offer until midnight tonight (I hate when they don't list the timezone, but I guess it's Pacific since that's what you posted above).

  9. Hi G, I love your blog & have been subscribed for a while now. My husband is always telling me to turn off my phone around 2-2:30 a.m. & go to sleep while we're in bed watching tv trying to fall asleep & I always try to wait for your blog post email notification before I go to bed. Anyways, I am totally a budget beauty type of girl & I am usually diasspointed when I splurge on high end cosmetics. I ordered the Eve Pearl salmon concealer duo in Light/Medium from Hautelook (my first ever purchase although I visit their site daily) & have high expectations. I will definitely let u & your subscribers/readers know what I think. Thank you for writing an amazing blog & talking to all of us like we are your BFF's that you run to with the latest greatest news. I always look forward to your blog posts.
