ReplyDeleteLooking for a dupe for Deborah Lippman's STORMY WEATHER... looks like dark grey is going to be big this year. Essie and OPI dupes are ok. Anything in Sinful colors would be a bonus but I can't think of one!
The closes that ive come across is China Glaze Concrete Catwalk. Hope that helps. :)
DeleteLooks like the new Zoya Evvie might be close. I don't have the Lippmann to compare them but from the pictures Evvie looks similar. Also, OPI Germany collection "Nein! Nein..." looks close too, might be a little darker/greener?

DeleteI love MAC's Rebel lipstick, and WnW Sugar Plum Fairy is almost the exact same color for $2. The finish is different, but both are incredibly long lasting, which is great. I think it's worth owning both, I love the color so much! Which sort of defies the idea of a dupe, I guess :)
ReplyDeleteBut, I really am not a dupe person - I don't consider something a dupe in the sense of interchangeable unless the color, texture, and ease of application is the same. The packages can be different, but I'm never going to think that a lip pencil is a dupe for a lipstick, even if the color is identical and you can't tell them apart once they are applied.
Also, OPI has a supe for Chanel "graphite" it's from the spiderman collection.

ReplyDeleteIt's supposed to be a knock off of the Nars Duo. I tried Nars long ago but was never impressed with their stuff. I Love this ELF Duo.
I don't necessarily have a drugstore duper. I do really like the ELF's Hypershine Lip Glosses which are considered dupes for the Stila Lip Glaze.

ReplyDelete2. Something I really want a dupe of is NARS Deep Throat (glad to see G's Dolce Vite dupe!) and wish a Chanel Pro Lumiere dupe was out there - but nothing makes me look like my Chanel foundation (mixed with a little bit of Mat Lumiere.

ReplyDeleteI have 4 of these and I found pretty good dupes for two. For Blissful try the PF Happy Booster Blush in Natural. It's pretty close, a little more red and has a sheen, but close. For Exposed, which is one of my favorites - try Sonia Kashuk Beautifying Blush in Tawny. This was super close and matte too! I really like SK blushes, so nice to know this is a pretty good dupe. I hope they still make this one. If they don't one that was pretty close, but a little more bronze is Cover Girl Soft Sable. It's also really pretty.

Revlon had a bronzer that came out with the Escapism collection that has 4 shades total - the two lower shades are supposed to be a good dupe for Too Faced Chocolate Soleil. And it's about $1l.99 or $12.00 - but it was LE - so look now. Also, Hoola is pretty close if you have it in your collection. I have both and probably don't need them. However TFCS smells so good.

DeleteMy favorite dupe is actually from the UK- since I have a friend in Scotland that send this to me. But it's the Natural Collection Juicy Lips in the color Fondant, it was only 3 pounds, I think. It's a dupe for Too Faced Glamour Gloss in Barely Legal!

My favorite drugstore dupe is Wet N Wild - I Need a Refresh-Mint. This color is exactly the same as For Audrey, but has the great manicurve brush and staying power that China Glaze just can't beat.

ReplyDeleteI hear there is a dupe of DL Mermaid Dreams (!!! *Fan Girl Squeee* !!!) by Urban Outfitters, but sadly there are none in my area. I have to stop by and get a couple of bottles of Sea Dust next time I am near one.
Now if WnW/Spoiled would just fix the atrocious brushes! Even a fast dry I picked up the other week was wonky, and I just HATE how wide they are. On my littlest fingers I have to paint them with the thin edge so I don't have to do massive clean up.

ReplyDeleteL'Oreal Wear Infinite shadow single in Spring Leaf is almost an exact dupe of MAC Humid. I think the texture of the L'Oreal is better than the MAC and the shimmer translates a little better.
ReplyDeleteIf you're up for another MAC dupe, the Covergirl Queen single eyeshadow in raisin, is extremely close to MAC Sketch. However, again, the texture and pigmentation is better IMO.
I would like to find a dupe for Tarte's emphasEYES liner in Charcoal (now discontinued).

DeleteI originally got Revlon Blush as a dupe for Viva Glam V (from Temptalia's dupe list), so if you have to, you might try that. I've never actually tested the two side by side.
The last time I purchased the Revlon lipstick I had to get it from All Cosmetics Wholesale. They are still selling it, if you want to stock up.

ReplyDeleteI have been looking for one for ages! Tried so many things and nothing really comes close. Recently got Physicians Formula Eyebrightener in Hints of Taupaz and it works for how I use Ricepaper (basically all over lid for a neutral everyday look) but it's a lot more shimmery and a bit darker. Also it works best with a primer because it gets kind of powdery and some fall-out. Worth the $1 I spent when P.F. was on sale at CVS, though, I wouldn't pay the $7.99 it normally goes for.

Revlon has to be my absolute favorite polish dupe brand so far! Scandalous (DL Bad Romance dupe) is my favorite right now; I find myself wanting to wear it all the time lately.

The elf blushes are great dupes for a lot of mac and bars blushes. I don't have a particular favorite dupe, just favorite blushes, like Candid Coral and Twinkle Pink. Love those.

Does anyone have a dupe for Bobbi Brown's Creamy Concealer or Eve Pearl Salmon Concealer? Something salmon-y colored for dark under eye circles.
I would like to know a dupe for those concealers as well...I own BB creamy concealer but I've heard so many good things about eve pearl and have been wanting to try it but its SO pricey!

DeleteIts not really a dupe, but the Revlon eye primer is a nice salmon color. It isn't much of an eye shadow primer, but I think it does a great job brightening up eyes.
DeleteYou can try the Pixi Correction Concentrate in Brigtening Peach. It's only $15 and is much bigger. I like the consistency of BB better, but this works pretty well as a substitute and you get at least twice the product.

DeleteTry Maybelline's age rewind treatment concealer (with the rollerball top) in the "brightener" shade. My HG! Its a salmony pink corrector/concealer. I've thrown everything else away, including BB, since finding this drugstore gem! It has amazing coverage, lasts forever, isn't drying and doesn't sink into, or highlight lines. Apparently a lot of people agree this is one amazing concealer...most of the 100's of reviewers on makeupalley agree! You've got to try this!!
DeleteThe best peachy/pink corrector/concealer at any price, IMHO, is Maybelline's age rewind treatment concealer in the " Brightener" shade. I have a bathtub full of concealers at every price and nothing comes close to this one at brightening and covering my horrible dark circles! I don't even need a concealer or powder on top of this! Its long lasting, doesn't sink into lines and isn't drying, and covers every bit of darkness. It's truly a HG concealer!! And it's affordable too. A must try!!

DeleteI recently fell in love with BeneFit's Some Kind-a Gorgeous foundation, after using a trial size of the product that was included in BeneFit's Tan About Town value kit. Before plunking down 30.00 for the full size, I decided to do a little sleuthing at CVS to see if I could find something similar (I took the trial size of the BeneFit product and ingedient list with me). Lo and behold, I discovered Milani's Cream-to-Powder foundation for 7.99, and decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did! Not only is the color "medium beige" an exact dupe for the BeneFit product in "medium," the ingredients are quite similar. The Milani product does have a bit more silica in it's formula, which is better for my combo skin's oily bits. The Milani product easily builds from sheer to medium coverage. I like this stuff so much I purchased another in the lightest shade to use as concealer.

ReplyDeletePillie, if you're still reading.. I used to have the Revlon "Deep Nude" shade years ago and if I remember correctly it was sort of a medium-dark warm brown with some reddish undertones. Is that the one you're thinking of? If so, Revlon's Colorstay Ultimate Lipquid Lipstick has a shade called "#1 Nude" that looks very, very similar. It's a different formula from the Super Lustrous lipsticks, though, and of course the color probably isn't exactly the same, but it might be worth checking out.

ReplyDeleteI know this is an old post, but I found a dupe for Nars California!! I have this e/s, so I swatched them side by side and they are VERY close. Jordana's A Classic is nearly dean on, w/ just a touch more of a pinky tone, of Nars California. They're both gorgeous shadows.
