Spotted: Limited Edition NYC City Sweets! Collection

I love cupcakes. I love makeup. So it stands to reason that if a brand is going to combine cupcakes and makeup, I'm totally on board. I spotted the Limited Edition NYC City Sweets! collection at my local Rite Aid recently and I'm excited to share it with you.

NOTE: NYC is running a contest right now that might appeal to my fellow makeup & cupcakes lovers: one lucky winner will receive a dozen Sprinkles Cupcakes every month for one year AND the entire NYC City Sweets collection. Ten second place winners will each receive the entire City Sweets! collection, so you've got 11 chances to win! There are entry sheets on the display below, but you can also enter on the NYC Facebook page as well.

Now that I suddenly have a giant craving for a Sprinkles Red Velvet Cupcake, let's take a closer look at the NYC City Sweets! Collection:

I love that the pedestals that the products are on look like little cakes,

How cute are these LE stickers?

Limited Edition City Proof Glosses

The LE polishes are as follows:

City Sweets Pink
Peaches 'N Cream
Lavender Cupcake
Mint Macaroon

LE Kiss Glosses

Limited Edition Cheek Glow Blush and City Duet Eyeshadows

I love that there are so many corals in this collection, and I'm hoping that the coral gloss will be a good fit for me, as well as the coral blush (I think it's a matte!). Any must-haves for you? Have you spotted this collection in your area yet?

    1. I bought the blush and it's not sparkly. It has a slight sheen to it however. The color payoff is very good in my opinion. I think people should definitely try it.

  7. I'm not a big fan of corals probably because I haven't given them a chance but I'm quite excited to keep my eye out for those nail polishes!

  8. Hey, G! I saw this display at CVS the other day and purchased the Mint Macaroon nail polish. I'm a little disappointed because in the picture on the display, the model is wearing the same color and it looked like a shimmery mint color, when in fact it's a cream. It's still pretty, but I hate when ads are deceiving, you know? Oh, well. Cute collection though! :)

  11. I wish those stickers were little tiny water decals for the nails. Now wouldn't that be cute?

  12. That's funny, I was just thinking about NYC today as I was using their LE cream blush & bronzer sticks from last year. I hope they bring out their blush sticks this summer. Last year's was so pretty.

  16. I saw this at my local HEB before I even read this post and picked up the coral blush because I'm obsessed with anything coral. It does have a slight sheen to it, but on the cheeks it doesn't show up at all. I would definitely NOT call it sparkly in any way. It is very pigmented though and easy to blend. The name is Chelsea Coral for anyone wondering.

    1. I want all the polishes but I saw swatches of the eyeshadows and blush that I was excited about but it looked like they have no pigmentation at all!

    2. That's funny b/c I haven't shopped HEB for cosmetics in a long time. Only when I was a teenager. That was the only grocery store available in South Texas. Well any who. I recently rediscovered HEB through a you-tuber. She mentioned going there b/c they have great buys on makeup. I will check there next. I haven't seen this collection as of yet anywhere. Thanks.

  17. I finally got to check out the nearly wiped out display a couple weeks ago at my CVS and was able to pick up two of the polishes (Lavender Cupcake & Peaches & Cream) and finally reviewed them. I am in LOVE! I have always loved NYC Quick Dry polishes and these ones are just as amazing. Most of the stuff was wiped out by the time I got there, so I had to come over to your blog to check out what I missed! Hopefully I can find the light pink polish because I don't have one I'm in love with yet. Thanks for your post (even though I am a bit late to the party ;) ) & I hope you are having a great day! <3 Angie
