I realize that my last What I'm Loving Right Now post was just a week ago, but in the past week I've been revisiting some products that I love so much, I feel compelled to share them with you!
1) Let's start with the product that you can no longer buy in stores (sorry, but you can still get it at places like amazon and ebay): Victoria's Secret Gilded Ginger Creme Body Mist. This was a 2009 holiday release, and I actually picked it up in the summer of 2010 at my local Victoria's Secret Outlet for $2.25 (click here if you'd like to see that post). WHY didn't I buy two, or three, or four of these babies? This has got to be one of the most mouth-watering holiday scents I have ever sniffed. It literally smells exactly like the description: "gingerbread, whipped latte and musk". YUM. Every time I wear this fragrance, Mr. G immediately says, "You smell soooo gooood." It's just one of those "warm fuzzy" fragrances that are perfect for this time of year.
I wanted to post about this in the hopes that perhaps someone who works at Victoria's Secret might know if they'll be releasing this or something like it for THIS holiday season. I have no idea when VS is going to release their holiday collections, so if any of you see this is back, PLEASE PLEASE let us know? Thank you so very much! I am loving this fragrance so much that I've been wearing it every day for a week straight and I'm down to 1/4 of a bottle. Boo!
2) Degree Natureffects Olive Leaf + Pink Pepper Anti-Perspirant Deodorant. I originally reviewed this product back in March of 2010, and I recently decided to revisit it (I bought an extra late last year). OH MY GOODNESS. Right after I put it on, I went on Twitter yesterday to re-proclaim my love for it. It's just got such a sophisticated scent to it--you can really smell the earthy, green, yet clean olive leaf note and just a bit of sweet spice from the pink pepper. If you generally don't like the sweeter, fruitier deordorants on the market and you're bored with shower-clean and baby powder scents, I think you might want to give this one a whirl. It's just so...sophisticated.
3) Sinful Colors All About You. After my post about how I layered this on top of Sally Hansen Bronze Ablaze to create a DIY version of Butter London Wallis, I feel like I have been layering this polish on top of everything but the kitchen sink! It looks so amazing over teals, greens, reds, oranges and browns (try it over Wet n Wild Caribbean Frost!) that I just can't even put it into words. If you like gold-hued nail colors, this is MUST. Layer it over your favorite red, green, teal, orange or brown and you will be amazed at how it kicks it up a notch.
4) Organix Cherry Blossom Poppy Delicate Cleansing Milk (click here for my original review). There are just a few more days left to take advantage of the BOGOFREE sale on Organix and Rite Aid, so I thought you might want to know that I am still loving this cleanser and reach for it just about every day. I love the gel-like consistency, the sweet fragrance and the fact that it removes all of my makeup without drying out my skin. It's gentle, yet effective!
5) Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Red Velvet. What can I say here that I didn't already say in my original review? This is currently my favorite red lip color and I swear to you, I love it so much that I've been wearing it even when I shouldn't (i.e. on no-makeup days, right before bed, etc.). I just love the way it feels on my lips and I LOVE that neutral red color for fall and winter.
What have YOU been loving lately?
Thank you so much for the Degree recommendation! I have to check this out - I really dislike some of the scents in the other brands.
ReplyDeleteWhat I'm drugstore-loving now: Physician's Formula Healthy Wear SPF 50 Tinted Moisturizer, Burt's Bees cuticle cream, Jordana mascara, and maybe a little off topic - gummy vitamin B12, C and D!
After that rave on VS fragrance, I'll have to look for that...just in case.
ReplyDeleteI recently discovered Sinful Colors Nail polish and I totally love them! I really like the one you're showing "All about you" and the swatches on your previous post(10/1) look great!
ReplyDeleteThis is soooo funny! I ran out of facial cleanser last night and I thought to myself "I wonder if I should email Gianna and ask what she has been loving?" LOL true story. I think I am going to give this one a run for my money!!! Thanks G. Love these posts! :) Also I just ran out of pumpkin body wash and so I am bringing out my BBW Twisted Peppermint set!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to try the Cleansing milk, but I'm not sure if its available in So Cal. Hmm!
ReplyDeleteIs the Organix sale at Rite Aid or CVS? I checked the Rite Aid ad, but didn't see a BOGO advertised. I hope its not a sale only available in San Diego.
ReplyDeleteI love that Gilded Ginger from VS and have been using it a lot lately. I wish I would have bought back up!
ReplyDeleteCBBgreen: You are so welcome! I'd love to know what you think if you try it. :)
ReplyDeleteKimberly: Oh girlie, if you spot it at VS (meaning, if they bring it back this holiday season) please please let me know? Thank you! :)
Ms. Glitz Glam: Thanks, hun! Sinful Colors rock. :) I have more than I can count, going back to the early 90s. lol!
robin: Oooh, I really hope you end up loving it as much as I do, sweetie! Please please keep me posted? And oh you KNOW I love me some Twisted Peppermint. ;)
Kelly: Actually, I believe we (in S. Cal) were one of the first areas to get Organix skincare (at Rite Aid). I remember posting a sighting, geeze, maybe in the springtime? And yes, the BOGO Organix sale is a nation-wide sale. However, if you live in a test market like I do (San Diego), the sales end on Wednesdays instead of Saturdays. So if you went to Rite Aid on Thursday and didn't see the sale, that's why. Hope that helps.
XoTopazoX: Yay!! So glad you love it too. Let's hope they bring it back. Pleeease VS, please! lol ;)
I really love the lip butter in red velvet, but I could only find it herein Maryland at rite aid.
