Spotted: new drugstore holographic polishes!

I've mentioned the brand Hedy's a few times on this blog over the past few years. If you're unfamiliar with Hedy's, their products can be found at Rite Aid, and many of their collections look to be dupes of higher-end products.

For example, the Hedy's Beeswax Company line released some Ed Hardy-ish lipglosses back in 2010. The Hedy's Ma.nish.ma. line features their oke.doke. products (dupes of tokidoki) such as polishes, glitter chopstick liners and rainbow lipglosses.

Well, the other day, my lovely reader Kim sent me a pic of a NEW Hedy's Ma.nish.ma. collection and I'm pretty sure you holo polishes lovers are going to want to track this one down:

WOW! I cannot wait to find these at my local Rite Aid! Hopefully the holo effect will be pretty visible on the nail (fingers crossed). I have had a lot of luck with other Hedy's nail polishes (click here for swatches) so hopefully these will work just as well.

Thanks SO much, Kim, for the scoop and the great photo!

Have you spotted these new holos in your area yet?

  3. Yes, saw them at my Rite Aid! Didn't think much of them until you mentioned. The photos look better IMO. Now I might go back and take the second look... LOL

  6. I JUST did a post on these. Unfortunately they aren't holographic, but they are multichrome, and the white one is awesome! I am in awe of it! Here's the link if interested:

  7. I saw them tonight at RA and got them all. The purple is very sheer, I didn't have the patience to put on a ton of coats. The pink is a bit better, but not greatly holographic. It reminds me of one of the Sally Hansen Hi-def pink colors.

There's a partner holographic lipgloss display - three colors, which I got also - nice and shiny and glittery, especially the deeper red color. I'll have to see about the wear time.

  8. Grr, why must Rite Aid have all the good stuff? There are no stores in Texas. :(

  12. Just bought three of these today: purple, hot pink, and the white one. I applied the purple and white as soon as I got out to the car. The purple is VERY sheer, and is really only suitable as a top coat. The white one gives me some crazy gold and green shimmer. I didn't open the pink one because I'm actually disappointed in them. They're not holographic, just very shimmery. Not sure I'm going to keep them. Also, they're $3.99 each.

  13. I have the white one (beyond opal), unfortunately they aren't holographic at all. The picture inset on the display is EXTREMELY misleading.
