The Wednesday Question

This week's question is straight and to the point. I hope you'll take a minute to answer it--I look forward to reading your responses!

What's your go-to eyeshadow color?

That's an easy one for me--when I'm in a hurry and I just want to slap on something that I know will work, I use a neutral medium-brown satin or matte from lashline to crease and and I'm done. How about you?

  1. If I'm doing one shadow it's usually a lighter shimmery pink. It's simple and works well with my eyes.

  2. When I am in a hurry I use CoverGirl's eye shadow in Mink. I have been using this since high school and I love how it offers me a nice shimmery eye w/o all the glitter. I just sweep this all over the lid and highlight w/another color & I'm good to go!

  3. The Wet N Wild Walking on Eggshells trio! I absolutely love it, and I know it will turn out well EVERYTIME I use it! It's such a perfect everyday trio! :)

  5. When I'm in a rush, I sweep MAC'S all that glitters over my entire eyelid and call it a day!

  7. BROWN!! i adore browns. i have blue green (more green) eyes and brown is gorgeous. you can go all out smokey eye and because it's a neutral, be appropriate. i also like to put a tad bit of soft gold glitter just on lid, :D

  8. Well, since my go-to shadow is Wet & Wild's "Nutty" I guess I'd say taupe is my go-to color! I love "Nutty" because I can build & layer it so it looks like several colors. I LOOOOOVE it!

  9. TAUPE!!!!! Matte or shimmery, greyish, brownish or somewhere in between, I love my taupe shadows.

  10. A peachy-pinky-champagney shimmer color-- like Stila Kitten, MAC Naked Lunch, or the lightest color in the WnW Silent Treatment trio.

  11. Champagne or lavender or sky blue. Light sheer colors give me a nice wash of color.
However, I also want to throw out that generally if I am running late and want to add color on my eyes, I go for a colored eyeliner :)

  12. HI G! When i'm in a rush, i use the Shimmery Champagne color - Stila Oasis. One of those pans last very very long time. i've been using it off and on for the last 5 years and finally hit pan this year.

  13. Wet-N-Wild single in Brule is a big fave of mine. It is nearly skin tone on me and my lids look natural, yet polished and perfected. If I have a little more time, I use a little matte brown, like BE Cashmere in my crease to give my eyes a more finished look.

  14. A shimmery taupey/brown is usually my quick go to.

  16. This is hard! I'd probably have to say Mac's Satin Taupe...it was my first eyeshadow from Mac and I used to use that as my sole shadow. Nowadays it's probably still my most-used color..so I guess any sort of cool-toned lightly shimmery taupe :)

  17. You sold me on Revlon's Nude Slip a couple of years ago and I've stuck there ever since. It's like the perfect lipstick that is like your own lip color only better - this is the eye shadow that is my lid color only better. Love it.

  18. I have a mini-Benefit Creaseless Cream in R.S.V.P. I got in a blog sale and it's become my lazy eye makeup, I just pat it on to brighten my eyes and head out the door!

  19. I love CoverGirl's single in Tapestry Taupe. It's great from lid to crease. Or Wet N Wild Brulee. Taupe is more fun, brulee is clean looking.

  20. Anything in the Benefit Her Name Was Glowla pallet. The shadows (Passion Pearl, Peachy Sheen, Terracotta Satin, Steamy Copper, Deep Bronze) are buttery soft and I LOVE them. They apply well with a brush or finger and can be used as the instructions that come with the pallet say so or by themselves and they are beautiful every time.

  21. Definetly taupes or champagnes. I like covergirl mink too.

  22. If I'm too rushed to really think about it, I head to Revlon's "Not Just Nudes" creme shadow palette and swipe on either the lightest or second lightest shade and finish with eyeliner.

  24. Without a doubt - taupe on the brownish or greyish side! Matte or shimmery.

  25. I have blue-green eyes and I'm kind of a color fiend, so I think a lime or chartreuse is really my go-to!

  26. I dont often use eye shadows but if I do its for an occasion and I do a smokey eye and the colors I generally use is the dark blue/black from Revlons creme shadow palette Electric Pop.

  27. Generally depends on what I'm wearing, no matter what, but I've got green-gray eyes, and I end up wearing a lot of teals and purples.

  28. It depends on what I'm wearing, yup, I'm one of those who matches her eye makeup to her clothes. If I haven't decided then I'll go with neutrals and usually it's Maybelline's Best in Brown. That was one of the trios from spring Fashion Week last year.
