The Wednesday Question


I thought I'd change it up a bit this week and take things in a completely different direction:

What higher-end (non-drugstore) beauty product is currently at the top of your wish list?

This is an easy one for me: I'm obsessed with the new Smashbox Girls on Film collection, and I really want the Softbox palette. What can I say? I'm a huge Duran Duran fan!

    UD 15th Anniversary 24/7 Liner set.... BUXOM Hot Ticket set.... oh and I really want the UD Cowboy Junkie Palette, mostly for that dark purple! But the 24/7 Liner set is definitely at the top of my list. :)

    For me, its a brand. I have already picked out my MAC foundation, concealer, and so on. I have never own anything high end.

    I really want Chanel Peridot nail polish even tho I dont like the way Chanel polish chips on my nails! I came THIS close to stopping at Macy's last week for it.

    Definitely argan oil. I can't decide between Moroccanoil hair products or just straight up Josie Maran Argan Oil. I thought about getting a different brand of argan oil as well but I feel bad with all the products I already have.

    I tried the Creme of Nature products you recommended but I didn't like it. I've tried other brands of argan hair products and they were good. I'm currently finishing up Organix brand argan treatment.

    But I am still so curious about the Moroccanoil...Lemming is so hard!!!!!

    Oh gosh, there are so many...

    UD Anniversary Palette, Make Up Forever Mattifying Foundation, and Benefit Cabana Boy Blush are the top three.

    I only occasionally splurge on high end make ups.

    Nothing really, which is pretty amazing for me! But after purchasing my first Illamasqua product last month, I would love to try more from that brand. If I could pick one thing from them it'd be their Tremble blush - a light warm pink. I'd also really love to try NARS Luster blush! But really, the only thing that's seriously on my wishlist right now are the cult favorite (discontinued but still available online) Bonne Bell gel blushes. Definitely ordering those when I finish my P10P.

    I'm kicking myself for NOT buying myself the UD Anniversary liner set, but as far as current stuff goes, the fall NARS shadow duos have been tempting me. And that Lippmann set with the variations on Happy Birthday? Swoon.

    The UD Anniversary liner set, UD primer potion in the squeeze tube, and I don't think it'd hurt to have a MAC lipstick or two.. But of course, no access to high-end things anywhere in my town, I don't even think within 100 miles ):

    I had to think a while on this, because I just got the UD anniversary palette (anyone on the fence about it who has the $ to spare, pull the trigger--it's glorious). But I do lust after OCC lip tars and Inglot eyeshadows.

    a dior lipstick in the color singulere i believe its spelled? and also the chanel graphite nail polish but i dont think i could ever let my self spend $25 on a nail polish, although ive been dreeeeaming about it! hehe

    Benefit's Creaseless Cream shadows... they're the only cream shadow that has ever stayed on me without budging, and I have super oily skin! They're great alone when I'm in a hurry or as a base when I wanna play it up. And you a HUGE jar for the money!

    A topnotch eye cream. La Prairie Anti-Aging, Natura Bisse Diamond Extreme (this is excellent - I tried a sample) and La Mer are NOT in my budget. I was trying a new eye cream that costs a bit more than drugstore brands, but even after just a few days I was shocked to see how wrinkled the skin under my eyes had become. I went back to Philosophy Eye Hope. For eye creams, you get what you pay for.

    Armani!!!!! I got a sample of their Luminous Silk Foundation and am pretty sure I'm in love with it... but I can't justify $69/oz. I could justify ~$50 or something... but the Armani might just be TOO much. Especially considering my other foundations are L'Oreal and Bourjois! :p

    Diorskin forever extremewear foundation has been on my wishlist for so long. Since I received a gift card, I swallowed my pride and finally bought it. I'm so excited to try it and kind of hope I don't fall in love with it because it's too expensive lol

    I've been obsessed with blushes lately and would love to get a NARS, Cargo, Tarte (the Amazon clay ones), and Flirt! blush for my collection.

    Also I don't have any high end nail polishes like Lippmann, Illamasqua, Butter London, Rescue Beauty Lounge, not to mention Dior or Chanel. I'd like to eventually have at least one of each.

    Last, if fragrance counts, I was sent a sample of Gucci Guilty, and while I loved it, my husband got suspicious and jealous while I was wearing it. He thought I must be headed out to meet my secret lover smelling so sexy! That sold me. lmao!
