The Wednesday Question

With all the freebies and coupons today, I almost forgot to post my Wednesday Question! Here we go:

What's the last product you purchased at the drugstore, and how is it working for you?

The last product I purchased was the new Revlon Age Defying foundation with DNA Advantage SPF20 that I first showed you here. I've been waiting for this to go on sale (it retails for around $13.99 most places) and this week it's on sale for $9.49 at CVS, plus I just got my latest $5 in Extra Bucks from the CVS Beauty Club, so I ended up paying only $4.49 for it. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm so excited to use it (stay tuned for a future review!).

  1. I bought 4 things yesterday
    1. Sleek pout polish - Pink Cadillac
    2. Revlon Colorburst lipstick in baby pink
    3. Revlon lipgloss - pink pop
    4. Barry M nail paint in 309 Strawberry ice cream

I'm loving them all except for the lipstick as it's got too much shimmer xxx

  2. I purchased a Hard Candy eyeshadow duo in High Maintenance last weekend and one of those HD Angled Blush brushes from Walmart. They're both great and worth the $6 I paid for each of them!

  3. Well I've bought tons of nail polishes lately (is a np addict!). But I also recently bought that Revlon foundation- wanted to love it but couldn't- flawed just like Photoready in my book- very sparkly, doesn't blend well, and doesn't give really any coverage. Oh well- hope it works better for you!!

  4. CoverGirl Purple Eyeshadow Quad. It's okay but I think I need a good eye primer to darken the colors.

  5. Pure Ice crackles in black and white. Love them. Wearing the white over a sparkly gold is especially awesome-- looks like gold veining in a white stone or ice.

  6. Covergirl Lash Perfection and Intense shadow blast in beige blast. I like the Intense shadow blast and the Lash Perfection is ok but nothing special.

  10. Well not technically a drug store, but sort of like one!

    At Ulta I bought:

Alpha Hydrox 10% Enhanced Lotion (with a coupon)
Smashbox Blush Softlights Duo in Under/Cover 5.00 bucks
L'Oreal Glam Bronze in Glistening Glow. Was in a display jar labeled 4.99 and had a coupon for 1.00 off. (Apparently was supposed to be about 12.50)
1 Bare Minerals Bright and Beautiful Collection. I needed primer which is 21.00 for 14.00 more I got a trial size brightening eye primer, , full size vintage peach blush, eyeliner in stone, lip gloss - fruit punch and some silly charm.

Plus I used a 3.50 off 10.00 purchase coupon, with tax was 50.00 bucks total. This blog rocks.

  11. Covergirl shadow blast primer in Platinum Pop, Lash Perfection mascara and Revlon Top Speed nail polish in Electric.

I love the Platinum Pop! (as much as I love the Extreme Green) these primers are my new go-to eye product. The other products I like, too. I still haven't decided if I like Lash Perfection as much as Lash Blast Fusion.

I am way interested in your foundation review. I tried the tester and loved the finish and feel on the back on my hand while I was in the store, but when I got out into the sunlight, my hand was glistening and shimmery... So I passed on that purchase. But I am wondering if anyone else has had that experience.

  12. I bought 2 crackle polishes from sally hansen. The black is great, the white is too sheer.

  13. based off your review, i bought a Milani Lip Flash pencil in Hot Flash. it is taking some getting used to -- coming from a pencil, you expect the color to be thick and solid, but indeed it IS a gloss, which is what it is intended to be -- but i think i like it!
