I don't know about you, but I'm not terribly impressed with any of the makeup sales this week at the drugstores. Oh well, not every week can have a super fantastic deal, I guess. Oh, but I do want to mention that in two weeks (starting 11/14) Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear polishes will be on sale for $1.99 at CVS!
At Wags today, they wouldn't sell the 'limited edition' holiday collections at half off. >:(
ReplyDeleteKimberly, I'm sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, you're not the first person to tell me this, but about 90% of the people I've spoken to got a price adjustment when they went back. I would show them their ad, and point out that the ad clearly doesn't state ANY exceptions. If they still don't give you the price adjustment, well, at least you tried. Did your Wags say that it's because these are holiday items? Because if they did, just know that several people have said the holiday nail polishes are coming up 50% off. Good luck!

I did just say that, and I am very happy about this sale, but it's not the type of out-of-the-ordinary-crazy sale that gets everyone all excited. lol! But personally, I'm THRILLED because I will definitely stock up on BOTH of my Maybelline concealers and also my Define-A-Brow. Talk about timing, right? Are you going to stock up on the Dream Mousse concealer too? Yay for us! :)

ReplyDeleteI probably will! Your Follow-up Friday post today made me re-realize just how awesome the Dream Mousse Concealer is, haha. And I know what you mean. For a little while there, we were starting to see those BOGOs that were m.i.a. for quite some time, so this doesn't really compare. Still, less that $5 (I think) for a concealer we love is pretty amazing! Have fun shopping, G.!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd on a side note totally unrelated, but have you found the WnW LE Coloricon Holiday palettes yet? I can't find them anywhere! And trust me, I've stalked- I mean, looked everywhere! =[
I knew there was a good reason I was holding off on buying my Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner! Looks like that's probably the only makeup worth buying this week though.
ReplyDeleteOn another note, I've stopped at 4 Walgreens in my area and none of them have the Wet n Wild holiday collection yet. I ended up using 3 of the 5/10 coupons and have just about everything in the core line now though :)
I see that many people are looking in vain for the WnW holiday palettes at Walgreens. I thought the 2 Wags near me weren't carrying them, but I've found them at both-- just not in cosmetics. One had the end-cap display over with the cards, and the other had it near the OTC meds! And in both cases the display wasn't on the exact end of the row, but on the side. (Side-cap??) So just a heads up, do a thorough comb of your Wags because the ColorIcon palettes may not be in a logical place. Now the proud owner of Night Elf & Sugar Plum!

ReplyDeleteIf you got a $3 off $15 CRT from CVS last week, combine that with any Revlon coupons (found some not long ago in the Cosmetics section) then the BOGO 1/2 off isn't such a bad deal.

ReplyDeleteI hope I wasn't sounding too negative in my last comment. It's not that I think bogo 1/2 off is a bad deal. It's just that I think 40% off is a better deal. But yeah, it can also depend on which coupons are availble. :)
ReplyDeleteI bought three of the WnW holiday palettes a week and a half ago and was all annoyed at myself because WnW was 50% off at Wags this week, but when I went in to get a backup of one of them (that MAC Club dupe was instalove), they only had two palettes in a dump basket and the display was down! Already! So I guess it was lucky I bought them when I did.

I'm OK with mediocre sales this week. That just means less money I'll be spending this week, and that's OK with me!
ReplyDeleteSTILL looking for the WnW Holiday palettes. Thanks for the tip about the end (side?)caps! I had heard they were there, but assumed they'd still be in the cosmetic area. Better head over there for a thorough sweep tonight and cross my fingers before the 50% off sale is over!
Huzzah! I went to my Wags, still no WnW palettes. I traveled a bit to another one, because I'm (desperate) dedicated, and there they were!
ReplyDeleteThey did ring up full price, but I pointed out the ad, and the cashier called the manager. The manager said that the "special" ones weren't included in the sale, but she adjusted the price for me without question!
I also saw the Holiday polishes. I really liked a few of them, but they were SO tiny, they just didn't seem worth it to me...
There is also a Rite-Aid video values coupon for $2.00 off any Maybelline Cosmetic, so you could combine that with the 40% off Maybelline sale at Rite-Aid!
