As I stated in my original post, I'm a longtime fan of Three Custom Color Specialists (especially their glosses) but unfortunately I can't always afford their products. So this is a fantastic deal because, well, the list price of this book is just $7.99 US!

I was fortunate enough to receive an advance copy of Killer Heat, along with the Three Custom Color Specialists gloss of the same name, so I'd like to show them both to you:

I mentioned earlier that I'm not a big romance novel fan, however, Ms. Novak chose to begin this novel with a great quote by Carrie Fisher and that instantly got my attention (love Carrie Fisher!). A few nights ago, I found myself whizzing through chapter one, quickly on my way to chapter two. This novel doesn't waste any time, folks. You're immediately plunged into the action right from the first paragraph, and so far it's a very interesting and fun ride!

But even if romance novels aren't your thing, a lovely reader of mine mentioned that she has a family member who loves romance novels, and well, she could purchase the book for her relative, and keep the gloss for herself (hey, we'll never tell)!

So let's take a look at that gloss:

After the very first swipe on my lips, I was quickly reminded why I adore 3CC lip glosses. Color is their thing over at 3CC, and it shows. Killer Heat is that sheer red of my dreams. It's as if I took a little swipe of strawberry jam and applied it to my lips (without the stickiness and sweetness, of course). It's the most wonderful, natural-looking sheer red I've come across in quite a while. If you love sheer reds, I'm willing to bet this will be your new favorite. I love the beautiful pop of color it gives to my lips, but it doesn't feel overdone in the slightest. It literally looks like I just ate a bowl of strawberries, and then topped that stain with a clear gloss and just a hint of shimmer.

The formula of this gloss is also wonderful. It's extremely moisturizing and it reminds me more of a creamy balm as opposed to a gloss. Also, there's very little fragrance or flavor to this gloss (I'd pretty much consider it unscented and unflavored).

This lip gloss is a winner in my book (pardon the pun) and I think this offer is killer (pardon the second pun). A fun romance novel for under $10 and a free, high end lip gloss to boot? What's there not to love about that?
