How many makeup products do you use for your average work (or school) face?
I use ten: concealer, powder foundation, blush, eyebrow pencil, eye primer, two eyeshadows, eyeliner, mascara and lipstick. Sometimes I only use one eyeshadow as a quick wash of color, but on the average day it's two (lid and crease colors). So how about you? How many makeup items do you use on an average day? Oh, and yes, on an average day I skip face primer--I'm usually in a hurry, even though I know face primer helps so much to keep things in place. I'm so bad about that!
Let's see...concealer, tinted moisturizer, eyeshadow, mascara, eyeliner, lip stain...so 6.

ReplyDeleteJust two, foundation and lip balm. I would wear more but I would just sweat it off. I save my makeup for my off time.
ReplyDeleteLets see... concealer, powder, cream blush, powder blush, eye primer, three eyeshadows (I use one to set my eyeliner), eyeliner, mascara, eyebrow pencil, highlight powder, and lipstick. So, 13. That is an average day, I often use more eyeshadows. ;)
ReplyDeleteoh god, let's see. On a typical day, I guess, face primer, tinted moisturizer, finishing powder, face concealer, under-eye concealer, Benefit Eye Bright, eyeshadow primer, usually 4 shadows, mascara, eyeliner, lip gloss, blush. So that's what, 15? hahaha
ReplyDeleteNormally for work I don't wear makeup because I just end up wiping or sweating it off. But on days like today, or shopping days I normally wear primer, foundation, a dusting of powder, my love NYC's Wild berry blushable creme stick(So love this thing!), one eye shadow, mascara, and a lip balm or gloss. So that is 7 products. I don't know why, but I always forget to put on concealer on average days! haha

ReplyDeleteLet's see: lip primer, Fyrannae on top of that, BE bisque on dark spots, at least 3 eye shadows, brow pencil with setting wax, eye liner, lip primer, mascara, foundation, blush, lip stick, finishing veil. 14!!! Gawd, I'm high maintenance!!!
I don't ALWAYS wear lip gloss but probably should add it.
I feel like I just tallied up the number of calories I eat in a day and got shocked. :/
I use 7: black eyeliner, white eyeliner, some sort of eyeshadow or colored eyeliner, mascara, bronzer, blush, lip balm/gloss. I'm pretty minimalistic!
ReplyDeleteI use foundation, concealer, eye primer, 1-3 eyeshadows depending on the day since it's average I'll say 2 :P. eyeliner, blush, mascara, lipgloss, finishing powder so I'm 10 too!

ReplyDeletehmm for me it really depends on time how many i skip so i guess: moisturizer, foundation, concealer, powder, liquid eyeliner on top, pencil on bottom, blush,benefit eyebright, lips, mascara all in that order but the mascara and eyebright could be skipped if i gotta go in a hurry..soo thats 10! wow i never realized i use that many!

So for average days, 7. I'm a student so my main priority is looking awake and presentable. Even on my most made-up days or nights, I choose among adding in a lip stain or lipstick, eyeliner & shadow to set it, and face highlighter, so it can go up to about 10 products maximally.

since i work overnight receiving shipments at a clothing store, i dont't really glam it up..like at all lol. so i just use foundation, sometimes brown eyeliner, and mascara. so about 3 on average.

ReplyDeleteI'm s stay-at-home wife so probably 50% of my week, I go completely makeup-less. But on days I do the full face, I wear:
ReplyDeleteface primer, foundation, concealer, face powder, bronzer, blush, eyeshadow primer, 2-3 eyeshadows, eyeliner, mascara and 1-2 lip products. So that's at least 12-14 or so.
lip balm, two mascaras, one eyeliner...do I list facewash and moisturizer? I guess five.

ReplyDeleteMoisturizer, mineral foundation powder, blush, and mascara are my most basic combo. If I'm feeling sassy, I'll use an eyebrow pencil, a pearly eyeshadow and a coppery eyeshadow (gotta make the blue eyes pop!) and some nude or pink lip gloss.

For super fast days, I dust on a foundation powder, a matte powder, put on eyeliner and one or two eyeshadows and go. Usually, I have some kind of lipgloss in my purse, so I don't think about it that much.

Let's see, Foundation, under-eye concealer, eyeshadow primer, one eyeshadow quad (I guess that counts as four), eyeliner, mascara, bronzer, cream blush, powder blush, lipstick. ah that's 13!

ReplyDeleteIt seems like a whole lot but it ends up looking natural! If I got into all the eyeshadows, there would be a lot more products. =P
I work at a messy job where looking great isn't priority one, so here goes: foundation, powder, blush, one eyeshadow, mascara. Just lip balm, no lipstick. Very different from my *free time* face, which takes about a dozen more products!
ReplyDeleteNow that I am a lazy, lazy grad student, I only wear 5: liquid concealer for face, Everyday Minerals Intensive Fair concealer for undereyes, eyeliner, mascara, lip balm or super-moisturizing lipstick or gloss.
ReplyDeleteIt'd be 6 if you count sunscreen. Occasionally I'll wear blush. Hardly wearing eyeshadow these days, sadly.

Moisturizer (doubles as primer since almost all of them have dimethicone [sp?], no?), foundation, concealer, loose powder to set, three shadows, eyeliner, I also set my liner with shadow but generally the same one I used in the crease, mascara, blush, lipstick or gloss, sometimes both. So that's 11-13. The part I'm lazy about is my eyebrows, I don't even wax/tweeze them and I really should.

full-on day (maybe 2 days a week i have time for this): brow gel, brow pencil, brow powder, tinted moisturizer or foundation, bronzer, blush, concealer around the eyes, eyeliner, shadow (usually 2 or 3), mascara (usually 2 or 3 different products--primer, volumizing, defining/curling). i generally skip the lips but if i'm going out i might put on lipstick or gloss. so that's up to 15.
Since it's been so humid here in New York, I've eliminated my use of foundation and powder. So lately I've only been using:
