Spotted at CVS: Two new Limited Edition Milani nail polish displays

I was going to post this tomorrow but since there's a chance I might not post anything tomorrow (I've got a super busy day ahead) I figured you wouldn't mind if I did a record five posts in one day (I really think that's my all-time record!).

I was at CVS yesterday and I was stunned to see two more new LE polish displays. Boy, Milani sure are crankin' 'em out these days, aren't they? After the Nail Flash display, I thought that would be it for a while, but noooo!

Milani Limited Edition Bare it All Nail Lacquer Collection

Here's something that might shock you: I did NOT purchase the light greige OR the darker chocolate-milky greige! Ha! But I did make a purchase because, well, how could I resist one of these pretty nudes? Besides, I had Extra Bucks and coupons! ;) I'll be posting swatches soon so please check back if you're curious.

Next we have:

Milani Limited Edition Haute Value Designer Nail Lacquer Collection

I tried SO hard to capture that yellow shade but I couldn't quite nail it. I'm horrible at describing nail colors but I'll give it a shot: this is a yellow jelly with golden, kind of opalescent glitter in it. It's super pretty in person and I don't think I've seen anything like it at the drugstore--ever. Also, the green and blue shades are not cremes! They're shimmers that have a flash to them--I actually bought the green, which I will swatch soon. You know me and greens. Gah!

Anyway, that's it for the Milani LEs (for now!). Have you seen these displays in person yet? Do you own any of these shades? I'd love to hear from you!

  1. You are so right Milani is really cracking them out this summer. They're doing a great job in my opinion. I think I've bought something from every collection released so far. I look forward to finding these new collections. I know what to spend my Spring extra bucks on now! :)

  2. I saw Haute Value yesterday! I am loving Bare it all! I wish I had seen that one instead! The lightest pink looks like a color form the permanent line, creme brulee. I like!

  3. they're so pretty! any idea if the nudes are opaque, or ar ethey the typical sheer french mani type? I've been looking for a good, opaque nude for quite awhile now. thanks!1

  4. Wow Milani! I have actually been MIA in the drugstores lately, except for my one trip last Saturday to CVS to get Confetti polish. So I appreciate these posts because when I dont get to go, these posts still keep me in the loop!

  5. I am so annoyed that I have travel 20 minutes to a CVS which is randomly only out in the country here in upstate NY! So I miss alot of these Milani shades...is there any other outlet for this brand?

  6. Cute! I had to run away from CVS before I bought the whole store. I really wanted these and also the new Maybelline Color Sensational Pearl lipsticks.

  7. I was just wondering what I was going to do tomorrow. Thanks for helping me decide. I have 2 CVS stores that are close to home. One usually has the new stuff up first. I'd go tonight but it's hotter than 'Hot Metal' here in FL. ;)

  8. Another two? I just saw a collection called "Flash" at CVS, I don't know if this is old or new, but it was HOT!

    Thanks for the post!

  9. I love that! I never told you but you were the gal who convinced me to go with opaque gray in the winter - right now I'm sporting a pale purple. Debating on where to go next.

  10. Agh. AGH, I tell thee. *faints*

I hope I *don't* run across either of these displays, or I may wipe them out -- I have little self-restraint when it comes to cosmetics -- which would not be a good thing for my pocketbook. Of course, since it looks like I might actually start a job next week (6 to 10 week temp, but it's better than nothing), I could justify my purchases on the grounds of "woek-safe colors," couldn't I, especially since I have very few (don't think I could justify the Haute Value polishes with that excuse, though... :P )? Anyone? anyone at all?

P.S. Laughing at my captcha; it's "preadol", which just sounds so much like a prescription medication that should exist but doesn't... perhaps for baldness? I easily amuse myself ;)

  11. Oooh pretty nail polishes! I'm always envious of the bright pretty nail polishes you have in US drugstores!

  12. Stephanie: Haha! So glad you agree with me. And I can't wait to see what you get when you see these displays! :D

PCS: I'm trying so hard to remember but I think that light pink is a shimmer with blue flashes. I *think*. All I remember is that some were cremes and others were shimmers. :/

Miss Tat: I'm not sure, but the one I bought is DEFINITELY an opaque creme and not sheer. There are some shimmers in this collection as well though, which might be on the sheer side. :)

adorepink: You are so welcome! So glad I could help, sweetie. :)

robin: Oh how I WISH there was a Milani outlet! I'd be all over that! But no, I don't think they have such a thing. Sorry. :(

lovelyandroid: LOL! Believe me, I feel your pain. I wanted everything in both collections! Luckily, almost all of the Pearls collection is waaaaaay too light and frosty for me (did you see my review?). There are a few that are not as light as the others, but for the most part they're pretty white and frosty, which isn't a good look for me. Boo!

Kimberly: Haha! Glad I could help! And yeah, it's supposed to be 105 here today, which is pretty close to hot metal. LOL! :)

Jackie: Yep! I actually mentioned the Nail Flash collection in this very post with a link to pics! It's a pretty one, huh? It's been out for a while now. :)

Natalie: Are you serious? I am SO flattered!! I love grays in the wintertime. Yay! And I love pastel purples/lilacs/lavenders for all year around. haha. I think you should go for a mint green next. Like Sinful Colors Mint Apple (from Walgreens). :D

Alexandra: Hahahaha! I know, it's difficult to justify non-work-safe color purchases, so if you find a good justification, will ya let me know? Because I REALLY need one. ;-)

And LOL at our "preadol" comment! You crack me UP! :)

K: But wait, aren't you in a nail polish wonderland over there? I would kill to have access to all those beautiful Japanese brands! :D

  13. I haven't seen any of these yet, and I don't actually own any Milanis--this would be a good opportunity to pop that particular cherry! :P

  14. Just picked up Bare In Mind yesterday because I wanted a Chanel Jade Rose dupe. I heard this is just like it!
