The Wednesday Question

This week's question was inspired by my current obsession with nail polish (actually it's always been an obsession but lately even more so). I've asked a similar question in the past but it's always fun to ask these types of questions so let's go:

If you had to reduce your nail polish collection to just THREE SHADES, what would they be?

For me, I'd think I'd keep a classic red, a crazy glitter top coat, and a dark green. That would get me through my need to have tame nails, wild nails, and girlie nails. :) So let's hear it! What shades would keep you happy if you could only have three?

  1. I would choose:

Zoya Gaia (soft white with subtle superfine gold shimmer)

China Glaze OMG (amazing silver/pale grey holo)

Maybelline Khaki Fringe (lovely olive green with multicolored superfine shimmer)

    FingerPaints - Paper Mache'
    China Glaze - For Audrey
    & Pure Ice - Black Rage...but I'm not picky w/ black polish. =]

  4. This is such a difficult question.
I do know I would keep

Essie's Lolipop. It is my absolute favorite red.

    Color Club's Worth the Risque

    OPI Green-wich Village

But I don't think I would survive with just three. haha

  5. A gunmetal, a dark red with black undertones, and a chocolatey brown. All will have a metallic finish.

  6. NYC in Manhattan, elf in Champagne and a toss-up between Pure Ice Iced Merlot or Hard Candy Hypnotic

  7. This game is hard! I'm thinking a dark (but not navy) blue creme, a black or charcoal grey shimmer, and a red glitter or glass fleck a la Ruby Pumps.

  8. China Glaze Ruby Pumps because it's such a great color and it makes smile when I see my nails. OPI Here Today, Aragon Tomorrow, I love the unique shade of green it is, plus my boyfriend is from Aragon so that makes it extra special :)
Eek last choice! Probably Maybelline Grape Times, I love purples.

  9. Essie Fishnet Stockings: a gorgeous classic dark red.
Chanel's Jade: I can't get enough of this minty green. I do need three coat to get the color opaque though.
    OPI Black Onyx.

  11. a pale, almost clear pink shade, the color of my nail bed; a shimmery, sparkling pale pink; a deep blackish burgundy.

  12. You know I'm all over the nail polish questions!
Okay. Misa Poison Kiss - a nice deeper red, that I don't get tired of and it's quite vampy!
Second, China Glaze Recycle. I have a thing for grays and if I can only have one, I'll chose that.
Third, Diamond Cosmetics Chainmail Charm. HOT holo!
But I dunno how I could ever narrow my crazy collection down to three. I might be depressed for a year or two!

  13. A gunmetal black/grey with a little bit of shimmer, a cherry red, and a burgundy-dark purple color. These kinds of colors make up the majority of my collection. :]

  14. Shades - that's different than nail polish. B/c some nail polishes I own are gorgeous... the quality is terrible.

Rimmel's (old stuff) Posh Trash and Milk Chocolate.

Maybelline's Blossom (cute pretty pale pink)
