Spotted: NEW Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick + Lacquer Collection

Remember that mystery gloss that appeared in the Rite Aid circular a few weeks ago? Well it's a mystery no longer!

Thanks so much to reader Teri (@lyniece005 on Instagram for this one). Teri spotted the new Revlon Ulta HD Lipstick and Lacquer Collection at her local Bed Bath & Beyond this week and was nice enough to share this pic:

(retail: $7.39 each at Bed Bath & Beyond)

NOTE: I believe this is a brand new permanent line, not limited edition.

As you can see, there are over a dozen lipgloss (lacquer) shades in this collection but I'm not exactly sure how many lipsticks shade are in this display (some colors look to be repeated but I can't tell for sure). The display itself doesn't really give us a whole lot of info about these new lacquers and lipsticks so I don't know what the claims are as of the time of this post (a Google search results in nothing but trademark info).

"Ultra HD" can mean a lot of things when it comes to makeup, but I'm wondering if these are going to be known for being highly-pigmented, super glossy, long-wearing or...? Maybe all of the above? Maybe just a few of the above? I have no idea!

I know that some of you mentioned that you've found these at Target lately as well. If you've purchased anything from the Ultra HD collection, I would absolutely love to hear from you!

Thanks so much, Teri, for the great sighting and pic. I really appreciate it!

  7. Dang, I'm sorry. I completely forgot to send you that pic I snapped. One of my local Target's had that exact same display up. I didn't pick any up, although one of the red shades really spoke to me. I'm going to probably wait until one of the local BBB's get it in or it shows up at Ulta, so I can use coupons for an even better deal!

  8. Found these at my target today. I got 3 of them. They are very heavily scented with sweet cherries. They are sheer and not true to tube. Apply nice and leave a strange tingle not like the tingle from the balm sticks, it's a very weird feeling. See in the photo how the tip of the product is above the tube. Well you can not turn it down just like the nyc lipsticks. therefore you must be very careful when putting the top on we will just say I've already messed up two of mine. as you wear it it gets a little dry and does not fade evenly and it absolutely has no staying power. Sorry to disappoint. definitely not as good as the original formula.

  9. I forgot i also got one lip gloss. The packaging is very pretty has a jewel on the top. They changed the applicator to a brush. this goes on thick with very opaque coverage at least in the color I got 530 rose quartz. You can thin it out if you use your finger. if you apply it with the brush straight on it's going to go on very heavy. I found putting a small dab with the brush then spreading it with my finger works better. No scent like the lipstick. Not to sticky very smooth feels nice. Comparing it to original I would say it's a thicker formula with more coverage. I would buy these instead of the lipstick. Staying power is average for a gloss product. The color you get is what you see. Not a fan of the brush applicator mine already has a few bristles bent and misplaced. Not sure if that's the proper wording. Lol

  11. I bought the HD lipstick #890 and gloss #575 today at my local Rite Aid. The gloss is very comparable to Clarins, right down to the brush applicator, and is true to tube. The finish is gorgeous. Shimmering, shiny, and smooth but I did need to lightly pat with a a fingertip to even out the color distribution. The color lasts and lasts while staying beautiful and moist. The lipstick was a different story. Package is beautiful, and you can indeed click the tubing down,l but the color is not true to tube. Instead it comes out as a sheer matte with short and very dry wear time. Found nothing significant to distinguish this product from the rest of the Revlon lipstick line.

  12. 20 lipstick shades and 15 lipglosses. All look absolutely gorgeous in person. Now to choose which one to get...
