Still guessing?
OK, give up? Keep reading for the reveal!
Huge thanks to my pal @mynailsarewet on Instagram for alerting me to THIS:
(source: @damoneroberts Instagram page)
Yep, DAMONE ROBERTS 1968 IS COMING BACK (AGAIN!). I never thought they would re-release this for a second time, and I could barely believe my eyes when I read it (I literally had to re-read it three times for it to sink in).
One of the first blog posts I remember reading by Michelle at All Lacquered Up was her original review of this shade HERE, back in 2009. The color of this polish was based on the wall color of Damone Robert's (AKA The Eyebrow King) salons. And it is the most stunning shade of green nail polish I have ever laid eyes on. Period.
I mean, LOOK AT IT HERE.
And LOOK AT IT HERE.
Did you miss out on this baby the first two times? Are you as excited as I am to have another chance at it?
Thanks again, @mynailsarewet, for alerting me to this (and totally making my day)!
Oh gosh! I NEED this!!! I've been looking for a green like this forEVER- yay!!! Thanks G! =D
ReplyDeleteSuper exciting!! <3
ReplyDeleteI want this polish!
ReplyDeleteI wasn't really into polish when this shade was a thing so I'm glad it's coming back! I'm getting it for sure.
ReplyDeleteI didn't really miss out because this came out I wasn't a collector or anything but after looking at the swatched I can't wait for it to come back! After that if Chanel would re release Jade or Miliani re release their dupe for it I would be one heck of a happy camper
ReplyDeleteYes! I agree, Chanel Jade would be breaking news for me!

ReplyDeleteI'll probably get it, this time around. But I was hoping it would be DS Glamour, :D
ReplyDeleteOOH, that's nice.. I need to add more green to my collection..of 300+ polishes :)
ReplyDeleteI was hoping it was What's With the Cattitude.
ReplyDeleteme too
Deleteme three
DeleteI would die if What's with the Cattitude came back!!!!!
DeleteWhere are they releasing it at?
ReplyDeleteI am addicted EEEEEEKKKKKK! I want
ReplyDeleteAw, I thought maybe it would be Vampire State Building.
ReplyDeleteThis is so exciting! I hope this comes to Sally's.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was going to be My Private Jet (and I mean the actual original one). To be honest, I've never heard of this shade but since it seems to be a rare find, I guess I'll add it to my collection...
ReplyDeleteThat was when I was on the polish wagon (pre-Pinterest and nail blogs). And now I need it. ENABLERS.
ReplyDeleteOMG I'm so excited for this! I'm going to need at least 2! Now if only they would rerelease Creme De Menthe and Rainforest! I love green, can you tell? ;)
ReplyDeleteIt is the same color as my grandma's bathroom. She had a sink, bathtub, and toilet all in that exact green shade. The house was built way before 68 though. I can't get grandma back, but glad to get that nail color.
ReplyDeleteYES!!! *happy dance*
ReplyDeleteOooh, yay!!
ReplyDeleteDoes hoping it would be La Boheme make me old/boring?!!
ReplyDeleteNo way, La Boheme is gorgeous!
DeleteHmm, even though I love a good green, the swatches of this color are not impressing me that much. Perhaps things will change when I see it in person. That said, I would've much preferred that OPI reissue Mad as a Hatter or Absolutely Alice instead.
DeleteOMG! I am so excited, thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteWith "Glitter In The Air"?!?!? That's genius! I have to try that-- as soon as I buy 1968. ;-)
ReplyDeleteAnd if I could bring an OPI back, it'd be my signature red: Vodka & Caviar. *sigh*
Looks *very* similar to my beloved Avon Don't Be Jaded! I'm going to take 2 of these!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty :)
ReplyDeleteWhen I first started reading this, I was really wishing it to be Mad As A Hatter. LOL.
I never heard of the shade. It sure is pretty, though...
ReplyDeleteI was hoping it would be Crown Me Already. I missed out on it when it came out :-(
ReplyDeletei have the original... hate the formula. i wonder if this formula will be better.. but then i dont want two =/
ReplyDeleteWas hoping it was going to be What's with the Cattitude or Absolutely Alice. This is a nice green but it's just... It's green. Though it might look nice on my toes....
ReplyDeleteOh boy, pistachio pudding green.
ReplyDeleteCan't believe it's $20 this time around. It was $9 before. Oh well, I already have a bottle, but wanted a backup.
ReplyDeleteI want to buy it but $20?!?!?! Heck I never get my monies worth out of any of my polishes and I know I won't get it out of a $20 polish.
