Huge thanks to three lovely readers (and many more who took the time to give me the heads-up about these products on social media) I have LOTS to show you today. So sit back, grab a drink and make yourself comfy for this one. First up, some CVS sightings from reader Christine:

Wet n Wild Holiday 2013 Magnetic Nail Color Trios
(retail: $6.99 at CVS)
Wet n Wild Holiday 2013 Magnetic Nail Color Trios
(retail: $6.99 at CVS)
Yep, the Wet n Wild Limited Edition Magnetics from Summer 2012 are back! Only this time, instead of in this display, they're packaged in trios and it looks like two of the shades from the original collection are not available (there were eight shades altogether in the original collection).
Here's set number two:

Christine also spotted this Megalast mini holiday set at CVS:
I personally am kind of "over" magnetics, but the green shade in this collection, Drawn Together By Force (the only one I own) is gorgeous. You can see my swatches of it here--it's QUITE Christmas-y. The thing I love about magnetics though is that you don't have to use the magnet...you can wear these just as regular polishes too. So if you missed out on these the first time around and you're drawn to any of the colors, I say grab 'em. Especially since they were $4.99 each when they originally released in 2012. Three for $6.99 is an excellent deal.

And, as Christine so kindly circled in the photo below, there are THREE LIMITED EDITION SHADES in this set (this is quite rare, as the WnW holiday sets usually only contain repromotes):

And guess what? The NAIL PAILS are back again for Holiday 2013:

Wet n Wild Holiday 2013 Fast Dry Nail Pails
(retail: $9.99 each at CVS)
At this point, I could probably write a dissertation about the various Nail Pails that Wet n Wild has released over the years (seriously, just search "nail pails" on my blog and a zillion posts will come up). So just to summarize: these are full-size polishes, you get seven of them plus a file and toe-separators in a little pail for $9.99. None of the colors are new (they're all permanent) but it looks like there are two different versions this time around. It's quite a deal if you don't already own these shades.
Next up, reader Leah also spotted the Megalast mini sets and Magnetic trios are her CVS and shared some pics:

And last but not least, reader Sophia (@sophietrophy on Instagram) spotted these at Duane Reade (owned by Walgreens) the other day and was kind enough to share:

Wet n Wild Fergie Limited Edition Eye Kits
(retail: $9.99 each)
They're BACK. The Fergie Eye Kits that originally came out August of 2012 are back again, only this time around, the blue kit (Fergie Ferg Fresh) is NOT in the display. The two kits in this display are Ferga-vicious and Glamour-eyes, which were both in the collection last year. Also, the price has increased from $7.99 to $9.99 this time around.
In case you missed the Fergie Eye Kits, check out my original post here for a closer look at what's inside each kit.

I think that about covers it...for now! Have you spotted any of these sets in your area yet? Are you glad to see any of these products make a comeback this year? I'd love to hear from you!
Another huge thanks to readers Christine, Leah and Sophia for the wonderful sightings and pics. I really appreciate it!
The picture I sent over doesn't do the limited edition polishes justice. The first is a gold hex and gold micro glitter in a clear base. The second is a red hex and red micro glitter in a clear base. The third (I'm assuming since I haven't swatched it yet) is a milky white with shimmer running through it. These may have dupes all over, but I'm super excited for the mini bottles. I think they'll come in handy for travel and polish emergencies. ;)
ReplyDeleteAlso, if you get emails from CVS about the Extra Bucks program, keep an eye out because sometimes they'll send out 25% or 30% off coupons that are good on full priced items. I actually got the 3 sets discounted because I had a coupon.
I did see the magnetic polishes at my CVS this weekend and my first thought was, "Isn't everybody over the magnetic thing?" I feel like they are just trying to get rid of their excess inventory. Especially when you can find magnetic polishes at Big Lots for $1.00! Otherwise, a lot of this stuff does just seem to be recycled products that have been repackaged for Xmas.
ReplyDeleteHaha I thought the same things when I saw some of these today. I wasn't wowed by the eye sets the first time around so another batch of stuff I can safely pass by.
DeleteJacking up the Fergie eyeshadow kits by $2? Uncool Wet n' Wild, uncool. :(
ReplyDeleteDo you know if the shadows in the Fergie sets are unique or repromos? Looks very much like the Villains set. Not exactly but similar.
ReplyDeleteI love all the new WnW products that are coming out. The only drawback I can think of is that after all of these, it might be awhile before WnW gives us new products. I don't like to wait too long. :)
