L'Oreal Project Runway 2012 has landed!

Remember back in the beginning of August when I gave you that sneak peek at this year's L'Oreal Project Runway collection? Well this morning I received a comment on that post from reader KelBel that I wanted to share with you:

KelBel writes:
Spotted these in CVS today (in NYC).

Let the hunt begin! And if you missed my post the first time around, you can click here to view every piece in this collection (scroll down and click on a product to view a close-up).

Thanks so much, KelBel, for the tip!

  1. It's hard to tell from the pictures what the finishes of those nail polishes are, but the colors sure do look gorgeous. A couple of the eyeshadow quads look really nice too.

  5. This is the collection that has forcing me to use some restraint (thus far) with other Fall collections.

I was just in Ulta yesterday, thinking that it would be so wonderful if they were just putting out this collection as I walked through the door.

But that's all it was, a dream. It sure is exciting to know that it won't be too long now... :)

  6. The Wise Mystic set looks bomb! Even though I have blue eyes, I still rock blue, green and purple eyeshadow all the time. What can I say? I like to match!

The names are also pretty hilarious. That'd be a fun job—deciding on what to call your make-up colors, though Wet N Wild's Fast Dry set is real funny.

  7. Oh I gotta find these! Going to NYC on Monday the 17th so maybe I will get lucky there! Fingers are X'd! Only stumbling block is the dear old hubby for not wanting to "waste time looking at makeup!: LOL! Thanks for the update!

    1. I hate to break it to you, Robin, but NYC is often the last place to get new collections. We don't get half of the LE lines G. Posts about, and it's so frustrating. But good luck, and enjoy your stay here!

    2. I'm in NYC too and I agree portmanteau, we always get them last. I was so surprised to see two people who commented on this post have already spotted them. Robin, I have not yet seen this collection but good luck on your trip. I have found maybelline's le collections at CVS, Rite Aid and Duane Reade so you might also have look if you wanted anything from them.

  9. Maybe a warning that the linked loreal post ends with a phrase used as a slur on trans* people. =( why???

    1. I never read the copy in that post, actually. Or more than just the first sentence, I should say. I was too busy looking at all the photos!

But now that you've brought it to my attention, there's no denying that phrase is offensive. Not justifying their use of it AT ALL, however, I am reading this as more of a reference/diss to Christian Siriano, from Project Runway, who used the phrase quite often in his season.

    2. I didn't know that, though of course that justify its re-use (or original use by Siriano). I'm glad there are comments on the entry with people expressing their objections, and I'm working on my own. (Though no matter how cordially you point out transphobic language, you're gonna get called a troll, told you're overly sensitive/can't take a joke, accused of wanting to censor free speech [err, people should avoid slurs as part of their effort to avoid being jerks and causing others harm, i'm not trying to pass a law to censor you!], etc. =P)

  10. I got two of the nail polishes today! - The Muse's Attitude and The Temptress' Power. The Tempress' Power seems to lean on the sheer side but it had this really cool duochrome that I couldn't say no to! I saw these at CVS (half of the nail polish shades were gone) in NYC. If you spend $10 on L'Oreal this week you get $3 Extra Bucks...

  11. Those polishes look amazing! I'm definitely going to be stalking my favorite Rite Aid for these, as if I don't stalk them enough already!

  12. Also available in Rite Aid now! Spotted in LA! :)

  13. Today I hit pay dirt! My local Wags had this display up, and only a few items had been purchased, and not a single section had been picked clean. So I got to have a nice long look at every item.

Then the display wasn't quite so well-stocked when I was done. :) Mua ha ha ha!

Good luck to all of those who are still on the lookout.
