A huge thanks to so many of you for the heads-up about when the free Target Summer Beauty Bag went live earlier today. I've heard that many you were able to sign up for it this time around, which is fantastic!
According to the fine print on the sign-up page, this offer will be available through 7/5/2012 or when all 477,500 bags are given away (whichever comes first). I hope that everyone who wants this bag gets one, and congrats to all of you who were able to successfully sign up today.

In past Target Beauty Bags, we've received some full-size products and also some sample-sized products. Let's keep our fingers crossed that there will be a full-size Revlon Lip Butter in these pretty blue bags (wouldn't that be nice?)

ReplyDeleteI was so thrilled to get a Summer bag. I did get the Spring bag like last week. I did take a while but, was totally worth it. It took me 31 mins to finally get through after many failed attempts and error cues. I was at the ready when it was 12pm EST to try for it. It was so worth it. I love Target and Target style they have such great things.

ReplyDeleteI first noticed that the bag was up at 12:30, supposedly half an hour after the bag became available. I had to try many, many times for the beginning 'cover' page to even show up, and many, many times after that to sign up, and many, many times after that for the registration page to go through successfully. In the end, however, I DID receive a confirmation code (don't know if it'll be like previous beauty bags, where you may receive a beauty bag even if the final confirmation page never loaded).
ReplyDeleteI recommend everyone to be patient, -very- patient. On my Mac it seems like the website hasn't even registered that you've clicked on a link button, when you have. Trust me, you've done nothing wrong -- and there's no broken link. It's just very, very slow. Keep the window open and check your email, or something. Check back in ten minutes. You WILL have to do this multiple times. It takes time, but it'll be worth it :D

ReplyDeleteI was able to get through immediately just now and got my confirmation! (Yeah, I'm a night owl!) Thanks so much for this; for some unknown reason, I missed out on the last beauty bag, but was able to get in on all the others.

I filled out the form on the Target Facebook page with all of my info, but when I scrolled down to the bottom of the page, I didn't see any button or link to click to submit my information (and take me to some sort of confirmation page). Am I missing something?

ReplyDeleteTracy it took me forever for it to submit and get the auth code. Just to make sure I hit the link again and it said "Thank you we recieved your info blah blah blah"
ReplyDeleteI don't know how I managed this, but with the last one, I recieved 2! It worked out perfectly, I bought a few extra 3.00 philosophy goodies and used the second bag for a gift for my Mom =)
I got mine! I just want to let everyone know it takes a bit to upload. I had to try several times to get the page to load and got "service unavailable". Someone also suggested using Firefox (I use Chrome FYI).

ReplyDeleteSo the contents may vary, but I have to say that this list doesn't particularly thrill me. Still, free is great and I shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth. Thanks for the heads-up!
all these things were in the spring bag, maybe they didn't update the terms...i doubt they would send the exact same things for the summer bag. But i agree, either way the bag is cute and i actually have my spring bag in my purse its good quality and roomy! and was free :D
DeleteSO glad I finally got one! The only thing I'm concerned about is that they're sending a lip butter...because it's nearly 100º here every day, even though it's only May...and in 6-8 weeks it will for sure be 100º every day :( It's going to melt!
ReplyDeleteThere aren't any lip butters in these I don't think I took a look at the "terms and conditions" or whatever it's called and it stated everything that's included in the bag, no lip butters or makeup in sight
ReplyDeleteYay, I got it! Did you end up getting the last one? I wasn't as impressed with it as I was with older ones (honestly, I can't even remember what was in it...) but the bag was super cute!
ReplyDeleteIt definitely wasn't as impressive in that there wasn't anything wow or cool, but I actually surprisingly loved a lot of the products in the bag! The face wash, for one, is my new favorite, and the face wipes were great.

ReplyDeleteIt would be nice if you said in the post that you have to have a book of faces to sign up. I got all excited then I realized it's book of faces cult members only.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what you're talking about. The Target Beauty Bags are open to ANYONE (18 and over), but it appears that they ran out of bags on the evening of May 23 (if you look at the comments from readers above). I have no idea what a "book of faces cult member" is.
