Tag: Beauty Favorites

I was tagged by the lovely shannnybannny and this one's so fun that I had to do it immediately.

BEAUTY FAVORITES TAG

(Note: Some  of these products are holy grails and some are just products I'm really loving right now.)

[Foundation]
Physicians Formula Healthy Wear Powder Foundation SPF50 in Translucent Light

[Powder]
I don't normally wear powder since I use powder foundation, but if I'm using liquid foundation I'm really loving Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder in Translucent.

[Primer]
Black Radiance Complexion Perfection Shine Control Primer

[Blush]
Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso

[Bronzer]
NYC limited edition Mosaic Color Wheel in Golden Touch (from the Bronze Bliss collection)

[Concealer]
Maybelline SuperStay Concealer in Light

[Highlight]
Revlon ColorStay Mineral Finishing Powder in Brighten

[Moisturizer]
Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Moisturizer SPF30 (currently testing this for review and loving it!)

[Lipgloss]
Argh! There are SO many I love at the moment but for an everyday grab-in-a-hurry, I'd have to say e.l.f. Glossy Gloss in Dragon Fruit.

[Lipstick]
Prestige Color-Persist Long Wear and Care Lipstick in Enduring Blush

[Lip Balm]
One Hand Washes The Other Lip Butter in Blueberry

[Lip Liner]
None - I never wear lip liner, really.

[Eye Primer]
CoverGirl Intense Shadow Blast Primer + Eyeshadow in Beige Blaze

[Eyeshadow]
Wet n Wild limited edition Color Icon Eyeshadow Trio in Dancing In The Clouds (from the Dream Weavers collection)

[Eyeliner] Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Automatic Eyeliner Trio for Hazel Eyes (in particular, the taupe pencil)

[Mascara]
Maybelline Colossal Volum' Express (washable--in the yellow tube)

[Face Brush]
Real Techniques Multi-Task Brush

[Eye Brush]
e.l.f.  Eyeshadow Brush (from the $1 line)

[Nail Polish]
Oh man, really? Just ONE? Well right now I'm loving Essie Smooth Sailing.

[Perfume]
I've been on a Philosophy Baby Grace kick lately. I love that clean, baby powder note.

[Makeup Brand Highend/Drugstore]
This is just straight up impossible to decide. So right now, I'm loving Urban Decay for higher end and for drugstore I'm loving all the new and LE releases from NYC.

I tag EVERYONE reading this post right now. If you don't have a blog, feel free to leave your favorites in the comments. I'd love to read them!

Thanks again, shannnybannny, for the tag!

  2. Perfect! I was looking for some distractions for the moment…

    [Foundation]
Mac Face & Body. And this summer I’ve been going to Origins VitaZing with a bit of concealer for lazy days.

    [Powder]
Not really a powder user, but I have Bare Minerals – Mineral Veil for extra mattifying. Or Mac MSF Natural (also used for light contouring when I’m paler).

    [Primer]
    None

    [Blush]
Laura Mercier blush in Lush Nectarine for summer

    [Bronzer]
None really. See powder answer, but I’m pretty tanned at the moment

    [Concealer]
    Mac Studio Finish

    [Highlight]
e.l.f shimmer palette. Just got it so we’ll see

    [Moisturizer]
Cetaphil for all skin types (this has lasted me forever!)

    [Lipgloss]
Revlon Super Lustrous in Coral Reef

    [Lipstick]
Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey. Nice, deep color in a sheer, wearable shade

    [Lip Balm]
Blistex Lip Medex (wish this came in a squeezy tube for sanitary reasons)

    [Lip Liner]
None. Sometimes I’ll use NYX’s Natural with lipsticks that are a little too light to give them some color

    [Eye Primer]
NYX Eye Primer (the skin tone one)

    [Eyeshadow]
Wet n Wild Color Icon Vanity Palette

    [Mascara]
    Revlon Grow Luscious

    [Face Brush]
    Real Techniques Stippling Brush

    [Eye Brush]
A Sonia Kashuk pencil brush (white handle line)

    [Nail Polish]
Just tried Sally Hansen’s Pacific Blue on my toes and it’s awesome!

    [Perfume]
I really want a bottle of Tocca’s Florence scent. I have a little sample from Sephora that I’ve used up but I still sniff it!

    [Makeup Brand Highend/Drugstore]
Right now it’s probably Wet n Wild (great eye shadows and cream liner) or Revlon (lip products). For high end I’m all over the place and I don’t splurge very often. Perhaps Benefit for their lovely Creaseless Cream Shadows.

  3. Yay Glossy Gloss!

OH and I have to tell you, especially since you listed this product in your favorites, that I tried Black Radiance Complexion Perfection Shine Control Primer for the first time today and I LOVE it!!! Even with my oily skin and the Florida humidity, this stuff makes my face look like it's not melting...not to work on the rest of me! *whew!*

  4. I definetly wanna try thr Black Radiance primer. I think the Rite Aid in the next town carries black radiance. Hopefully they have the primer if they carry the line or do you have to order it online? I like the tag idea ill just list a few things I think are holy grail or im loving right now. Revlon Colorstay Foundation, NYc Sunny, Rimmel Stay Matte face powder. Aqualina Pink Sugar perfume, Alpha Hydrox face cream, Garnier Moisture Rescue gel-cream and Uv Lotion Spf 15 for daily use, Brighton Peach lipgloss from NYC, Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer, I cant pick one eyeshadow but wet n wild i use the most and Loreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara and Coastal Scents Duo Fiber brush(but i think im gonna order the real techniques stippling brush if they go on sale, has anyone else used this brush?)

  6. No blog, so...

    [Foundation]
I don't remember the last time I wore foundation, but whenever it was, it was Revlon Colorstay.

    [Powder]
Physicians Formula Healthy Wear Powder Foundation SPF50 in Translucent Light -- I use this to set my rather shiny mineral sunscreen, not as a foundation

    [Primer]
Barely ever use, but Maybelline Age Rewind

    [Blush]
    My old standby, Milani Luminous

    [Bronzer]
    don't use

    [Concealer]
Hard Candy Glamoflage for liquid, Everyday Minerals Intensive Fair for powder

    [Highlight]
Physicians Formula Happy Booster Powder in Translucent

    [Moisturizer]
    Complex 15

    [Lipgloss]
Revlon Super Lustrous in Nude Lustre. HG!

    [Lipstick]
Maybelline Mineral Power in Nude Shell. DC, but my favorite MLBB shade

    [Lip Balm]
    Weleda Everon. HG!

    [Lip Liner]
    don't use

    [Eye Primer]
Mac Paint Pot in Soft Ochre. HG!

    [Eyeshadow]
Wet n Wild Color Icon trio in Silent Treatment

    [Eyeliner]
You left out eyeliner! I had to add it back in. =) This is the one I can't choose one of: UD Bourbon and Underground, MAC Blackline and Teddy, WnW's olive green Color Icon shade, Jordana black FabuLiner pen-- the best drugstore pen liner, super black, stays on, only $2!

    [Mascara]
Been using Rimmel Lash Accelerator, but that's only because I've been getting it in 50% off sales. it's only OK. No HG, but L'Oreal Voluminous comes closest.

    [Face Brush]
Essence of Beauty Powder brush for, duh, powder; MAC 187 for blush

    [Eye Brush]
MAC 275 or ELF $1 domed brush for application (the mac is less dense, better for a larger area; the elf grinds up some shadows, but is great for packing on color), Essence of Beauty crease brushes

    [Nail Polish]
Since I can't choose just one, *right now* I am wearing a neon orange Sinful Colors polish with Pure Ice black crackle over it.

    [Perfume]
Prada Infusion d'Iris, great for summer

    [Makeup Brand Highend/Drugstore]
Mac or Urban Decay; Revlon or WnW

  7. G,
They should add eyeliner to this tag. I also have oily lids, no eyeliner I've tried so far has lasted even remotely closed to a day. I would like to know your fav!

  8. i am favoring right now

Laura Geller Bronze and Brighten and that takes care of bronzer and foundation which if I dont use this then I skip foundation.
For primer I like Hourglass Mineral Primer
Blush is Physicians Formula Happ Booster in Pink.
Lipstick I am not really into at the moment perfering gloss my go to is Revlon Lip Gloss in Hot Pink. Masacara the Falsies Flared (Maybelline) I dont use powder right now, the primer is really doing its job but I use Chanel, translucent. It has lasted me about 3 years! No lies!
For eyeliner I like Rimmel Extreme (?) Waterproof. I use Black and Navy. Concealer is Maybelline Mousse concealer which I stocked up on in the CVS clearance last winter! My go highend cosmetic line is Chanel and I do have quite a collection of glosses and lipsticks and a couple of polishes. I have to say that my HG polish is For Audrey, China Glaze. This has been fun reading G! Thanks!

  9. Yay! Thanks so much to those of you who did this tag--I LOVED reading your answers. :)

OnceBitten: Whoo hoo!!! I'm SO glad you like the primer and that it worked for you. That totally made my day. xo

graziaplena: Wait, I left out eyeliner? But I copied and pasted it directly from the blogger who tagged me? I wasn't even aware it was there to begin with! Thanks for letting me know--I'll go ahead and add it now to my original post. :) xo

Shirley: You are SO sweet to ask! I too, suffer from very oily skin, so I'm going to add my current favorite eyeliner to the list. It's Physicians Formula automatic eyeliner pencils--they work really well for me in this heat! You can see my original review of them here. Hope that helps!

Robin: You are so welcome, hun.
