The Wednesday Question

This week's question is one that I'm sure almost all of you can answer! Since the holidays are upon us, I'd love to hear what you've got to say, so please leave your response in the comments.

What's your favorite red lipstick?

Although I'd love to hear about any holy grail reds in your stash, I'd REALLY love to hear what budget-friendly reds you love. For me it's NYC Retro Red, but I'm always open to suggestions!

  1. I like Retro Red too! But I'm totally into Cruella from NARS, it's always my first choice...it's my signature red ;)

  2. Sad to say, but I don't have a favorite RED lipstick. Even sadder is I don't wear red lips :(

I think to have red lips you need flawless, perfect, completely awesome skin (in my opinion).
I'm still having a battle with my skin, so I personally stay away-FOR NOW. :)

I'm definitely going to check back here for future reference!

  4. I wore NYC Retro Red for years, until I discovered the new matte line from Revlon. Now I'm completely addicted to Really Red - it's my absolute favorite (and I've been trying out red lipsticks for almost twenty years)!

  7. I'm addicted to Maybelline Wet Shine Fusion in Very Cherry right now. I got it at Dollar Tree so that makes it even more worth it to me.

  8. Revlon's "In The Red," from their newest matte collection, is GORGEOUS. I believe in a matte red lip, but the downside of that is that your lips might look dry... but this line of lipsticks (with the exception of Nude Attitude, which is what I exchanged for this one!) do not have that drying effect. They just look richly opaque and creamy, and stay put for a long time! They have two reds in this line and the other is a bit brighter and more orange-based, while In The Red is very much the perfect neutral red. I've read that it's a dupe for MAC Ruby Woo!

  11. revlon matte "in the red' because it isnt neon or clownish on my skin tone. i could wear it alone without any make up at all and it would look nice, i don't have to come up with a contrived'well,as long as i wear a certain palette' thing to pull it off.
