Breaking News: I've got pictures of the new e.l.f. products at Target!

Oooooh, ladies! If you thought I was excited before about e.l.f. cosmetics launching at Target stores Nov. 1st, well these pictures, given to me directly from e.l.f., make me want to start counting down the hours until I can run down to my local Target and start buying goodies!

If you read my previous posts (click here and here), then you know that the new e.l.f. displays at Target will contain singles (individual products) and also sets of products. Well I've got photos of some of those mysterious sets, and they look awesome! I'll stop talking now and get to the pics:

(click photos to enlarge)

OK, I honestly don't know what I'm going to buy first! :)

Now that you've seen the pics, tell me, are you more excited than before about e.l.f. coming to Target? What do you think of these new sets? Is there anything here that you're excited to purchase once e.l.f. hits your local Target? As always, I'd love to hear your thoughts!

  1. Oh, Beauty Encyclopedia...you WILL be mine on November 1st!!!!

These look lovely, I can't wait to try them. And, if they suck, eh I only spent $5 and waste that amount of money on a magazine!

  6. OMG! I did not know they were going to be selling ELF at Target until I came across your blog. I LOVE Target, and up 'til now, nobody sold ELF anywhere around where I live. I am so excited! I have been reading awesome reviews on their eyeshadow primer, and I want it so bad. I have super oily eyelids and I think this will really help me out!

  7. Hey Ruby! Yay! I'm so glad that you're as excited as I am about this news. I can't find elf anywhere near me either, so this is going to SO awesome for both of us! :)

  8. The display I saw also had a few bruhes, too. You should def nab some of those if you see them. :)

  9. Hey oldergirlbeauty! Wow, so you already have the display in your Target? So jealous! And yes, I am already a big fan of the brushes so thanks for the heads-up that you've seen them! I will definitely be picking up a few extras. :) xo

  10. I'm definitely interested in the Beauty Encyclopedia Eye Edition! $5 for a set like that sounds very reasonable, especially considering that something like wet n wild's Ultimate Expressions palettes are around 5 bucks too and you only get 8 shadows. elf's sounds like a real bargain!

I might pick up a Super Glossy lip shine l/g set (depending on which shades are included) since I really love those glosses, but I'm not too interested in the rest of the sets. I don't really care for their liquid eyeshadows and, in general, I don't really like lip palettes (they have a tendency to spoil fast IME). I'll probably end up buying a ton of elf's single items rather than pre-packaged sets.

  12. I have seen the items in the last 3 pictures at Winners, prob. left over from somewhere. Packaging might be a bit different. All in all, hope we'll have good stuff in Canada release too :-)

  15. One of my local Targets has the stuff out already - I bought one of the Hypershine gloss three-packs and I really like it. Next time I go to Target I want the eyelash curler! Made up for the disappointment of my local Wal-Mart not having any Hard Candy stuff.

  16. Hey Mimsy! I am with you about the Encyclopedias! I can't wait to see those in person. And I agree that I'll probably buy a ton of singles as well. I've always preferred singles to sets. Oh, and what did you not like about the liquid eyeshadows? (I've never tried them.) Thanks! :)

Hey ndoodles! I like the look of those as well. :) xo

Hey Halifax! Finally! Something *you* got first! Lol. :) xo

Hey princess azure! Oh please report back next week if you spot the display at your Target! :) xo

Hi Thiamere! I like the packaging too. :)

Hey Beck! First of all, I'm sorry you don't have HC in your area yet, but I totally agree--this more than makes up for it! I called my Target the other day and they told me they won't be putting out the elf display for "a few more weeks". Argh! So jealous that you already have it. Congrats on getting those Hypershines. Love those. :)

  17. Hi, R! I have two of the liquid eyeshadows in Sultry Satin and Misty Mauve. The consistency of these is very thin and liquid-y, and they go on VERY sheer. When I apply them to my lids, they go on rather streaky and all I get is nondescript shimmer. If I want it to show up like the color in the tube, I really have to pile this on and try not blend/smooth it out. Good thing is they dry extremely fast and smooth/non-sticky. I find these act more like a liquid highlight than eyeshadow.

Not a big fan of these but I actually might give a few (darker) shades a try now that they're popping up at Target :) I just couldn't justify paying shipping on more shades of something I probably wouldn't like either.

  18. My problem with the liquid eyeliner was it would take 4 or 5 swipes to actually make a line, I'll place the tip on my eyelid and it only runs 1/5 way across my lid...

BTW - I noticed Ross sells set that look very similar to these (in case anyone has a Ross nearby)

    Thanks for the awesome post!!!

  19. I don't think any Targets near where I live have any e.l.f in stock yet, but once they do, I'll be buying quite alot!

  20. Hey Mimsy! Thank you so much for taking the time to explain your issue with the liquid eyeshadows. I think I know exactly what you're talking about. The good thing is that they dry fast and they aren't sticky, so I think you're right--maybe we could use these as highlighters instead of on our lids? Hum...now I'm definitely intrigued! :)

Hey Janine! Thanks for the heads-up about the liquid liners. I sort of had a similar situation with the new Hard Candy liner which I reviewed a little while ago. Have you tried letting your first line dry for a few minutes before you go back over it? It's tricky but if you let it dry just enough, you could possibly build the color without making it streaky. Let me know? Thanks! Oh and also thanks for the heads-up about Ross. I swear to you, my Ross SUCKS for makeup and we never get that kind of stuff. lol.

Hey Kieran! Well according to elf, who I heard this from directly, their products will be in all Target stores across the nation startomg Nov 1st. I've already started a countdown. lol. Hope that helps! :)

  22. Hey JFMuni! Yay! Another elf brush fan. :) I'm as excited as you are about having their brushes at Target, believe me. :)

  23. This isn't anything fabulous. They already sell a few individual items at KMART that i've seen like eye shadows, bronzers, lip products, mascera ect. I want to see the stuff like the

    All Over Color Stick
    Shimmering Facial Whip
    Blush
    Shielding Hydro Tint
    Concealer
    Bronzers (including Luminance)
    ECT.

These just look like holiday gift sets for the eyes, lips, and nails! Who wants that? I want individual items for my face. The face needs to be corrected before you can worry about your lips or eyes. GIVE US FACE PRODUCTS.

  24. Hi Leslie--I can tell from your post that you're very passionate about your elf products! If you take a minute to read my other elf updates (the links are all in this post) you will see that there is going to be one shelf in the display devoted to single items. While I do not know what the single items will be, I am pretty sure there will be at least a few face products offered.

Also, when you read my other posts, you will also notice that some products from their Studio line will be available at Target in March. To me, this is pretty fabulous. Sorry you don't seem to agree, but we've all got our opinions and I'm afraid no matter what they offer us in Target, not everyone will be happy with the selection.

I don't have a K-Mart anywhere in my area, so this is pretty much the first time I'll have access to elf in a store. So to me, the sets ARE pretty fabulous. :)
