I have a lot of info to cover in this post so let's jump right in!
FRAGRANCE EVENT
First up, I want to mention that Sephora started their annual 3x points fragrance event this week. Now through 5/14, earn 3x points on all fragrance purchases online and in-store. This points offer also includes certain body care products (like this new Philosophy body wash set). To go with this event, there's always a nice fragrance-themed freebie. This time around, you can spend $35+ online and enter code SCENTSTYLE to receive seven fragrance samples + one lip mini. There are two different sets to choose from, which you can view HERE. Don't wait on this freebie if you want it, because it will sell out. More active codes at the end of this post.
PS: if you were thinking of buying some Nest fragrances, longtime reader Liz Lorant just let us know that there's a really nice deal on this 6pc set at QVC (ends tonight, 4/28, at which point the price will increase by $10). You get six 0.27 oz. sprays (including my all-time favorite Nest fragrance, Indigo) for $44 + $3 shipping. As Liz pointed out, Nest rollerballs are 0.28 oz. each and retail for $25 at Sephora. So that is an excellent deal at $44 for six (and you can break it up into 2 Easy Pays of $22).

NEW PRODUCT
If you were wondering what the heck that flamingo was at the top of my post, it's a lip balm! The Taste Beauty Felicia the Flamingo Lip Balm ($10) launched today, 4/28, at Sephora. The reason this was on my radar was because I read a write-up on WWD and it caught my attention. According to this article, this product from Taste Beauty will be in both US and Canada locations starting today. The lip balm, which is shaped like an inflatable pool flamingo, comes with a "mini beach bag" (pictured above) and there will also be a Snapchat geofilter available at certain Sephora locations. Cute, right?

COMING SOON TO SEPHORA
This may not be news to those of you in Canada who already have access to Leneige at Sephora but, if you're in the US, you may like to know that Leneige is coming to Sephora this June. And there will be some NEW products to go along with the launch.
From WWD.com:
Laneige, which made headway in the U.S. when Target added it in 2014, will hit sephora.com in June followed by in-store presentations in 150 Sephora U.S. doors in September. This marks the first time Laneige is available at Sephora. The collection of existing and new products range in price from $4 to $39. “Partnering with Sephora in the U.S. will bring even greater access to the best K-beauty advances Laneige offers. We have had a very successful experience with Sephora in Canada and look forward to bringing that same level of passion, energy and exposure to our brand in the U.S.,” said Bradley Horowitz, AmorePacific North America President and chief executive officer. Sephora will offer Laneige’s best movers including creams, masks, BB Cushions and new two-tone lipsticks. There’s tremendous potential, the company said, for its Water Sleeping Mask in America. One of the masks is sold every 12 seconds worldwide, the company said.
I've been hearing rumors for months now that Laneige was going to exit Target, but I don't like to mention things on my blog that I can't confirm for you. That said, I just checked the Target site and there are zero Laneige products now online at Target (there used to be dozens of Laneige products on the Target website). The last time I was at my local Target store, I didn't even think to check for Laneige--have you noticed the disappearance of Laneige at your local Target? If so, when did that happen for you?

Yep, Laneige was definitely available at Target and it was great because it was a good excuse to use all my Target gift cards on it! They phased it out right after they had a gift card promo with their products. If I knew I would've bought some more items because the deals were pretty good. Missha is still available at Target though which is really nice. Ever since I bought the Target beauty box you posted on the blog that had the Missha Time Revolution First Treatment Essence sample I can't get enough of it! =)
ReplyDeletewhen honest beauty arrived at target thats when laneige was removed.
ReplyDeletelast time during target's get $5 back from $20 beauty purchase I also noticed the laneige products were on sale.
ReplyDeleteHow does a brand (Laneige) go from drugstore to high end just like that? Will prices also change from drugstore to high end? (I figure they will)
ReplyDeleteAnyone has had issues with honest beauty as for the makeup does not last long shadows) and the moisturizers make my skin feel horrible (i'm more in the dry side espcially in the winter months)
Even at Target, Laneige was priced above typical drugstore levels - it was in the section with fancier brands. I don't think they'll increase prices because they have to standardize worldwide to some extent, but it's a bummer since Sephora rarely runs sales and when they do, discounts aren't that generous.
DeleteI think it was 3 months ago. I saw the travel sized stuff on clearance and it didn't occur to me it was going away.
ReplyDeleteI believe that you can also buy Laneige at Ulta now, if I am not mistaken.
ReplyDeleteLaneige also has an online store that just opened a few weeks ago so you can buy direct.
