Forever 21 Rainbow Highlighter vs. Wet n Wild Rainbow Highlighter

Thanks so much to longtime reader Vanessa (@vanedb on Instagram) for this one! She kindly let me share the above pic with you, which is a side-by-side shot of the Forever 21 Rainbow Highlighter and the Wet n Wild Rainbow Highlighter.

Vanessa said that she prefers the WnW highlighter. Here's her full explanation:
I prefer the wnw because it has a bit of a better texture and pigmentation than the forever21. The forever21 is a bit dryer. When I swatched both with my fingers, the wnw had better color pay off. If you use a brush, both products pick up a decent amount of product. There are pros and cons with both. I consider the wnw the best due to the price (just a bit of difference) and pigmentation.

When I posted about these highlighters last month, the Forever 21 highlighter was available HERE for $5.90. If you click that link, you'll see that it's no longer listed, however the model at the top of the page is holding it! What's up with that?? Maybe they're sold out and will restock eventually? If any of you know if this is available in-store, could you please comment below? Thanks!

And as we all know, the Wet n Wild Rainbow Highlighter HERE is $4.99 but it's out of stock again. Hopefully they'll restock soon. You can see Vanessa's swatches of this highlighter HERE.

So basically I'm showing you two products that you can't have right now. Sorry about that, but just remember this post if/when these go back in stock and hopefully it will be useful to you at that time (if you want either one)!

Thanks again, Vanessa, for the great pic and info. I appreciate it!

  3. I need that WNW highlighter! I have been stalking their page for days waiting for it to be back in stock. I mean I check their site just about every hour to see if its back. I missed it by about an hour last time it came back in stock. It just looks so cool. G, did you get one?

  4. I have been collecting my share of highliters aren't they fun?! Love them! Tried to order also from WetnWild but sadly out of stock. Don't know how in the world I'll wear this unicorn madness mix but I'd love to get it looks so pretty! I've heard Forever 21 beauty products are not so great so I'm sticking to WetnWild and a bit cheaper if ever available. Can't find in any drugstore either. Today I received my order of the Precious Petals highlighter ordered two and one of the Canopy one also and the Fantastic Plastic Pink these new blushes I adore they are all perfect. I have them all. Finally.

    1. Its highly unlikely. They dont like getting stuck with product and its rare they restock LE products. The only exception I have seen is the summer highlighters and they made them permanent.

  7. On one level I have no need for a rainbow highlighter, but then again, for $5, it's irresistible. (Yeah, I'll likely go for WnW if I can get it.)

  8. I found mine at Forever 21 inside a drawer with overstock. YET there was none out on the tables. You need to ask and look around and if there are drawers, go through them. LOL
