The NEW e.l.f. Skincare Line is Here

Remember back in December when I posted about the new e.l.f. skincare line? Just to refresh your memory, at that time, a selection of products was available for pre-order, but e.l.f. stated that not all of those products would become part of the line (I'm guessing that they considered how many pre-orders each product received in order to help determine which products would make the cut). Well the products that DID make the cut are now officially available for purchase:

You can click HERE to view/purchase the new e.l.f. Daily Hydration Moisturizer ($12), Soothing Serum ($12), Illuminating Eye Cream ($8) and Nourishing Night Cream ($10).

Did you pre-order back in December? And if so, did your items make the cut?

  1. It seems it may also be which items would be available to start with? If a lot of people ordered the four that are on the site now, those would be the most sought after products. They're branching out and trying something new, so go with your best foot forward. If this works out, they might introduce the other products that didn't quite make the cut at first, to gain a profit.

Are those products that didn't make it going to be scrapped, or will they be introduced later?

  2. I ordered the moisturizer just a couple hours ago, can't wait to try it out!

  3. I'm a little disappointed how they seen to be raising prices on some of their other products. The 1$ primer is now 2$, the cream eye-shadow pots were 2$ when they came out and now they're 3$. These are small changes but nonetheless ongoing

    1. Agreed, Daniela. On one hand most of the prices are still decent, but this company for a long time had only $1 and then $3 items, and now the prices have dramatically gone up. They still have some great deals, but I don't want to suddenly go from paying $1 and $3 to paying $5 and $10! I don't care to shop online too much, except to order brushes, because their online swatches are terrible, and at Kmart the products are always old, cracked, faded, separated or dusty. At Target it's a bit better, but they rarely have the brushes I want or the new items. I wish they'd set up in a drug store chain and do the periodic good sales and offer the new items.

    2. Heidi, if you have a Meijers nearby, they seem to have a good selection of elf with a lot of the newer items. I've also noticed that the selection of elf at Walmart varies greatly from store to store. I'm in Chicagoland and our selection isn't great, but the Walmarts in NE Indiana had huge displays.

    3. I agree with the price escalation. I don't understand that. What made a lot of these companies popular, low prices, seems to be disappearing.

  4. I'm interested to hear how these are. e.l.f. is so hit or miss.

  5. I agree with Daniela. The prices just keep creeping up. Some of their stuff is worth it but a lot isn't. None of my friends really like that new pricey brush. I really like Aldi's day and night creams, have been using them for years and get compliments on my skin all the time. At $4 a jar it can't be beat. I may try elf's syrum, but will wait until there are lots of reviews before spending $12 on it.

    1. Whaaaaat?! Aldi has day and night creams? I was totally unaware of that! I'll definitely be checking that out on my next trip to Aldi. Thanks for the tip!

    2. +1 on the Aldi day and night creams. The brand name is Lacura, and they're pretty amazing. I've been using them for a couple of years, and my skin looks better than it has in a long time. The night cream has retinol which helped improve my mild/moderate acne as well as the fine lines on my forehead. Yay for being in the lovely stage of life where pimples and wrinkles are of equal concern. :-P

  6. The ingredients look intriguing with lots of "natural" oils, butters and extracts, vitamins, no fragrance, except for the daily hydration moisturizer, which lists "fragrance" as the last ingredient. May be worth a try when I need to repurchase what I already have!

  7. I'm very curious to see how this line will turn out. I can't wait for the reviews to start pouring in
