More info, after the jump...
Cheryl spotted this new palette on the Walmart website last night, but it is not yet available for purchase. The retail price at Walmart is $9.98 (0.34 oz). Here's some more info from the Walmart site:
What's interesting about these palettes is that the first one, The Nudes (click here for my review) seems to be available everywhere. However, The Smokes appears to be a Walgreens-exclusive, and The Brights appears to be a Target-exclusive. Of course that could change at any moment, but I haven't heard from anyone who's spotted The Smokes anywhere but Walgreens, and I haven't heard from anyone who has spotted The Brights anywhere but Target (please let me know if I'm wrong about that!). Could The Blushed Nudes be a Walmart-exclusive? I have no idea, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.
The Maybelline New York Expert Wear Shadow Palette, Maybelline's newest 12-shade collection curated to create infinite sensuous looks, is infused with rose gold pigments for bolder blushes, provocative plums, and risque roses.
Maybelline New York Expert Wear Shadow Palette:
- Expertly curated shade collection
- 12 shades, 13 looks, for endless possibilities
- Dare to go nude
- Made in USA

Also, I have to wonder if The Blushed Nudes will be similar to the new L'Oreal La Palette Nude 2, since L'Oreal owns Maybelline. Again, we'll have to wait and find out once these pretty new palettes actually hit stores.
What do you think of this newest addition to the Maybelline palette family? Are you excited to see it in person?
Thanks again, Cheryl, for the great tip about this one!
Looks like a drugstore dupe for Naked 3!
ReplyDeleteI still need to try out the Maybelline The Nude Palette and now I can't wait to try this new one. Now I know why I had a hard time finding the Smokes or Brights palettes. I didn't know they were only sold at certain stores.
ReplyDeleteOmg this looks so pretty!!!
ReplyDeleteMaybelline is really trying to break into the palette game! I've yet to try any of their shadows but I'm kinda tempted to check out one of these palettes. They look great!
ReplyDeleteThe other Maybelline palettes did not excite me much but I will be on the lookout for this one!
ReplyDeleteBoy, I even haven't got the Nude yet and now they released Blushed Nudes? Not fair! *angry face* :p
ReplyDeleteIt's certainly pretty. I really enjoyed the Nudes but was quite disappointed in the Smokes. So many poorly performing shades it was frustrating to use. There were three or four really nice ones too though which almost makes it worse. I haven't decided if I'm going to try to depot the nice ones, give the whole thing to my dd to play with.. or what. I really wish they had released these prior to the reformulation.. or just left the previous formula alone. I have a LOT of the older shadows and have always enjoyed them.
ReplyDeleteJust FYI I too bought my Smokes at Walgreens. I've only seen it at one or two stores though, and there are five in my area, so it appears to be store specific as well. It never had a special display just "appeared" in the permanent display one day.
I tried the Maybelline Nudes palette....i took it back to Ulta where i purchased it.....the pigmentation just was not there....real bummer....hope this new one worked on the pigmentation....we will see....
ReplyDeleteOh, how pretty! Thanks so much for the heads up!
ReplyDeleteNaked 3 palette is the first thing that came to mind for me as well
ReplyDeleteOh, I hope it isn't a Walmart exclusive! I've boycotted Walmart...which already means no more Hard Candy cosmetics for me. I really want to try this palette, but I don't want to deal with Walmart. :-(
ReplyDeleteI hope they made this one a little more pigmented, as I was disappointed in the original nudes palette. It would be great if it could be a good Naked 3 dupe!
ReplyDeleteEhmegherd!! I'm very excited to see this in person! Want want want! :D
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering how this palette stacks up against Wet n Wild Thrift Store Chic. I wasn't too impressed with the swatches from TSC but have only seen a couple of pictures. I hope this one is highly pigmented as I'm loving the blush pinks these days.
ReplyDeleteIn Canada, the Smokes palette is available at Wal-Mart and Target and in drugstores like Shoppers Drug Mart
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, this will be mine! I really like these colors. I have the other three so I guess I need to complete my collection...
ReplyDeleteYou're right, though, got my Smokes at Wags and Brights at Target and haven't seen them anywhere else. I hope this isn't Walmart exclusive but if it is, I still have to have it!
Maybelline, whyyy? I can't believe I want this. I bought The Nudes palette as soon as it came out & only used it once. Now it just sits in a drawer gathering dust. AS IF I NEED ANOTHER! Stop tempting meeee!
ReplyDeleteI have the nude and the smokes. I definitely want the blush palette. I always liked Maybelline eyeshadows. My fave is Wet n Wild for drugstore.
ReplyDeleteI feel like I'm the only person who didn't have an issue with the nude palette, for me it WAS comparable to Naked 1. My coworker bought the smokes, hated it, and returned it.
ReplyDeleteOh I need this palette as soon as I can order it or find it in stores. I found The Brights palette at Target a few weeks ago and was super excited because I have been on the hunt for it since you made the post about The Nudes palette when it was 1st hitting stores
ReplyDeleteOoooooo! I can never have enough pinks so I'll be keeping an eye out for this one. I am so happy that pinks have become "neutrals". Blushy soft pinks are my go-to. They are so pretty and flattering! I'm also loving the peachy shades to the left. I can visualize the "quads" very easily with this one and they are all looks I'd love to wear. I hope the colors have a good consistent formula!
ReplyDeleteThankfully drugstores/Walmart/Target/Ulta have great return policies (keep the receipt!) so if it ends up being meh or I have too many dupes it can be taken back.
If they put out this palette in all-mattes I would think I died and went to heaven! Come on makeup manufacturers, how about some love for those of us who can't pull off sparkle?!
ReplyDeleteJust saw it in walmart today. If i didn't have UD naked 3 I'd pick this up. Hope to hear some good reviews on it. I bought the brights and it went right back, pigmentation was lacking big time. Bought the smokes and with a good primer not bad. I have the Nudes and its pretty good. Love how drugstore makeup is finally coming out with palettes. Loreal has a new one too, want to try those as well :)
