Coming Soon: L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Spray & Set Makeup Extending Setting Spray

UPDATE: this product has landed in stores! Come check out the display HERE.

A few months ago, some little birdies mentioned to me that L'Oreal was going to be a releasing a setting spray. Well I hadn't seen anything in the press about this new product...until today! Thanks to two lovely readers for this one:

L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Spray & Set Makeup Extending Setting Spray

First up, reader Lenn (@marxmar_ on Twitter) kindly shared this pic above, from the latest issue of Cosmo. I visited the URL mentioned in the photo (HERE) but as of the time of this post, no listing for this product.

Keep reading for more info and another pic...

L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Spray & Set Makeup Extending Setting Spray
(retail: $17)

As luck would have it, reader Yvonne (@yvonne121780 on Instagram) spotted another mention of this product, also in the December issue of Cosmo. She shared this pic with me on her Instagram (I cropped and enlarged it above). As you can see, the suggested retail price is $17. Ouch! Already my wheels are spinning about sales and coupon and store rewards...you know we can do better than $17, right?

I'm guessing that this will hit stores in December (or earlier). If/when you spot it, I would love to hear from you!

Thanks again, Lenn and Yvonne, for the great pics. I really appreciate it!

  1. Interesting...L'oreal owns UD, right? ...so this could potentially be a dupe of All Nighter?!

    1. Yep! I'm curious how they will compare. I immediately thought of the NYX setting spray too. But since L'Oreal just acquired NYX this past June, I'm thinking that if it will be like anything, our best guess would be UD. :)

    2. Exciting! :D I love my UD setting spray so I've got my fingers crossed. Hopefully with a decent sale this can be bought in the $10-$12 range.

    2. You're welcome! I've been a lurker on here for years but never commented until today and I'm glad I did. I was in CVS and saw the setting spray and thought "Hmm, haven't seen G mention this yet," came on here to check, and lo and behold!

The bottle of this is actually fairly similar to the UD one - same round shape, same matte finish on the plastic. To my eye it seemed slightly bigger than the UD bottle, though.

  3. I saw this in Bed Bath and Beyond. It's $13.79 there.

  4. I love this idea but 17 for drug store setting spray?! Not sure about that...

  6. Did you see that Loreal has eyeshadow pencils? I saw a new display at Harmon, but couldn't snap a pic, because I was in a hurry.

  7. I saw the spray and Loreal eyeshadow pencils (they looked similar to the Rimmel ones).

  8. Ok, so I have been a hardcore beauty junkie my whole life, but a setting spray is the one thing I don't have in my repertoire. But here's a confession: what the heck is this supposed to even do and does it really work? I just ordered some stuff from e.l.f. and they threw in a bottle of their setting spray. So there it sits on my counter because honestly I don't know what to do with it. Can you guys tell me how/why spraying something on your face makes your makeup last all day? :-)

    1. I've heard setting spray described as hairspray for your face and I think that's pretty accurate. Basically it locks everything into place and helps the makeup last longer. I'm not a fan of the ELF spray; in my experience the spray nozzle left big droplets on my face. But the UD spray is great and I use it every day!

  9. Okay, now I'm determined to get to Bed, Bath, and Beyond. I saw the comment above that this was $13.79 there . . . but $17 in drug stores?!?! I hate how drugstore prices are getting more and more comparable to high end prices! :(

  10. Ouch! $17 dollars is a lot for a drugstore setting spray. Glad to see that BB&B are selling it for a cheaper price. I'm still in search for my HG setting spray and this is worth a shot.

  11. Saw this at Bed, Bath, and Beyond last night. They actually had a tester as part of the display but I was not wearing any makeup so I can't say whether it works or not. I did spray it and for some reason I was expecting a flowery/perfume-y scent but it just smells like chemicals. For the price though, I'd rather get an UD All Nighter travel size.

P.S. I also found the new Almay lip butters (bought Berry-Medium; it has barely any color payoff) and a new product from Revlon that is a foundation/concealer stick. It's supposed to be an all-in-one travel friendly product and another primer in balm form which may or may not be new.

    1. The primer balm is new. It's supposed to have a mattifying effect, if I recall correctly.
